In Charleston, Illinois homeowner Jamie G. was having problems with water flooding her basement every time it would rain. Exhausted from the cleanup, she decided to call Woods Basement Systems to see what they could do. Our team installed several of our patented items such as WaterGuard, IceGuard, CleanSpace and TripleSafe systems. All these items working together to ensure that all water is sent out of the home before it can reach the floor or items in storage.

In Charleston, Illinois homeowner Jenny G. was having problems with water entering her basement. Every time it would rain, she would have to check the basement to see if the cracks and spots where the floor meets the wall for water. The items stored in her basement were always at risk of becoming damaged or destroyed, and she was worried about the well-being of her home. After years of cleaning the basement up, she finally decided to call Woods Basement Systems.

Here at Woods, we have several items patented to keep your basement dry – year round. In Jenny’s basement, they installed out WaterGuard system. WaterGuard is our interior drainage system, it is installed around the perimeter of the basement, collecting water as it enters the home before  it could reach the floor. This will protect the items that Jenny has stored in her basement, as well as keep her home safe and dry for years to come.

Homeowner Adam L. of Charleston, Illinois was worried about his wet basement. After a heavy rain, water was coming in at the floor/wall joint. He called Woods Basement Systems to see if there was a solution that could be installed in his space. Foreman John Cunningham and his team waterproofed the basement in just one day, using our WaterGuard system. WaterGuard effectively captures wall and floor seepage before it reaches your basement floor. 

In Charleston, Illinois homeowner John M. had a wet basement. His basement was unfinished, the floor was cracked and leaking. The water was flooding the space, damaging items he had stored there. John decided to make a call to Woods Basement Systems to see if they could waterproof his basement once and for all. Our foreman Gage Kile and his team installed several patented products including IceGuard, WaterGuard and TripleSafe.

There were no corners cut when protecting Pat H.'s crawlspace from water vapor. The dirt floor of the crawlspace would allow water vapor to enter the crawlspace from below. Water vapor can condense on cooler survaces like the walls and ceiling of the crawlspace as well as grow mold and support dust mite populations.

To stop this from happening, the crawlspace was incapsulated with CleanSpace™. CleanSpace™ is a vapor barrier made from a tough liner similar to pool liners. This vapor barrier seals the floor and walls of the crawlspace and prevents water vapor from rising into the crawlspace from the dirt floor. Instead, this water vapor is directed to the UltraSump™ sump pump system which can pump the water away from the home. 

The final step in protecting the crawlspace was installing a Sedona. The Sedona would dry the air in the crawlspace, removing any water vapor that was already inside the incapsulated space. The water is drained into the sump pump while the air is filtered of mold spores and dust mites and recirculated through the area.

With bad air being kept out and clean air being circulated, Pat H. has a clean crawlspace that doesn't pose a threat to the rest of her home. 

Elise from Charleston, Illinois needed a quick, permanent solution to keep water out of her crawl space. Woods Basement Systems sent out one of our top system design specialist, Nolan M., who looked over the home to find the perfect solution for Elise and her family. Upon inspection, Nolan recommended installing a new discharge system with an IceGuard attachment. 

With a new discharge line, the crawl space sump pump will be able to pump out all pesky water leaks that may seep inside. A discharge line is a pipeline that carries water leaks outside. Attached to the discharge line will be an IceGuard attachment that will prevent the line from clogging and freezing year-round! These outdoor waterproofing products were installed by foreman Jesse C. and his crew of installers.

Jim, a homeowner in Charleston, Illinois, wanted to take protective measures by waterproofing his basement. This led to Jim giving Woods Basement Systems a call to find a protective solution. Bill C., a system design specialist, went out to the house to see what products would give an optimal solution. Upon inspection, Bill recommended installing a sump pump and a drainage system to waterproof the basement. 

These two waterproofing products were selected because a drainage system would collect and direct leaks to the sump pump. The drainage system installed was Woods Basement Systems' top sump pump, TripleSafe. This sump pump contains three pumps that will serve as a dependable system year-round. The drainage system installed was WaterGuard drains. These drains are installed in the footing of the basement walls to collect water leaks that enter through the walls. These two products were installed by foreman, Brett J., and his crew of installers. Thanks to Team Woods, this basement is now safe and waterproofed!

Dawn of Charleston, Illinois noticed that the floor of her home above the crawl space was starting to sag. She was worried about it collapsing, so she gave Woods Basement Systems a call. 

System design specialist Gregory visited Dawn's home and determined that the best solution would be to install Smart Jacks in the crawl space to support the floors. A Woods team arrived soon after and got to work, installing two of these jacks underneath the floor joists and making the floor leve again. Smart Jack supports are capable of supporting over 60,000 pounds each, so Dawn will certainly not have to worry about her floors anymore!

Charleston homeowner Nik was having issues with leaks in his basement. Water was making its way into the space through the seam where the wall meets the floor. As Nik used part of the basement as a makeshift theatre and entertainment area, he kept all sorts of electronics and furniture in the space, and the water presented quite a risk to these valuables. All of this considered, he gave Woods Basement Systems a call.

Lucas, system design specialist, visited the home and worked with Nik to craft a solution that would fit all of his needs. Soon after, a Woods team arrived and got to work. Led by foreman Juan, they began by installing WaterGuard, a gutter-like system that is put in place under the floor at the base of the walls to catch and remove any and all water that comes into the basement. Next, the homeowner's existing, ineffective sump pump was replaced by the TwinPak sump system. Equipped with two independently operating pumps capable of removing nearly 10,000 gallons of water an hour, the TwinPak is quite the workhorse. This is where any water caught by the WaterGuard system ends up before being pumped out of the home. The final installation was done on the exterior of the home at the water discharge pipe, where IceGuard was put in place to prevent any sort of freezing problems. 

Josh of Charleston, Illinois experienced having sinking concrete slabs in his driveway, so he decided to call Woods Basement Systems for a solution. Systems design specialist, Kevin E. recommended installing PolyLevel.

Foreman, Andrew T. installed the product. PolyLevel is a high density polyurethane formula, or foam that permanently lifts and stabilizes sinking concrete slabs. First, small, dime-sized holes are drilled into the concrete. Then the void is filled with the polymer. Lastly, the holes are covered with cement and within 15 minutes of installation, the concrete can be used again. 

Now Josh D. can safely use his driveway. 

Basement walls can start to bow and move overtime. That’s why Jeffrey V called Woods Basement Systems. System Design specialist Gregory B was able to come up with a solution to the problem.

Foreman Bradly P installed a PowerBrace Assembly in Jeffrey’s basement. The PowerBrace attaches to the walls and will keep them form bending any more than they already have. They will also be able to move the walls back into place.

Jeffrey V. of Charleston, Illinois discovered an expanding horizontal crack in his home's foundation wall. He contacted Woods Basement Systems for a free estimate. 

Specialist Greg B. evaluated the home and crack and determined the PowerBrace stabilization system would be the best solution for the expanding crack.

Foreman Brad P. and his crew installed the PowerBraces along the cracked wall and now Jeffrey can rest assured knowing the wall in permanently stabilized.

Stacey D. of Charleston, Illinois was troubled by water leaking into her basement where the floor meets the wall. The water risked damaging the valuables stored in her basement. System design specialist Greg B. designed a solution to waterproof the basement.

Foreman Dillon L. and his team installed WaterGuard, a perimeter drainage system. WaterGuard collects and guides water to the TwinPack sump pump system. TwinPack is equipped with two pumps for extra protection. In addtion to WaterGuard and TwinPack, IceGuard was installed. IceGuard provides an exit for water in the even that the discharge lines become frozen or clogged.

Stacey is pleased that her basement is now dry and will stay dry.

Jeff D. had water seeping through his walls and into his basement so he called Woods Basement Systems for help. Systems Design Specialist Kevin E. thoroughly inspected the inside and outside of the home to diagnose his water problem and proposed the solution.

Foreman Ryan L. installed the CleanSpace System to prevent water from coming in through the walls and guide it to the Waterguard, which is installed in the basement perimeter where the floor meets the wall. The waterguard directs the water into the TripleSafe sump pump pit. From there, the TripleSafe sump pump system that was installed pumps the water to the outside, even if the power goes out. The IceGuard installed keeps the water pumped out from coming back in if the discharge line becomes clogged or frozen.

Now Jeff doesn't have to worry when there's rain in the forecast because he knows his home is protected.

This basement in Charleston, IL was in desperate need of a waterproofing makeover.  The windows leaked, the sump pump failed, and the floor always seemed to be wet.  The resident wanted to use his unfinished basement for storage, but was unable to do so since it flooded every time it rained.

Woods Basement Systems gave the basement a complete waterproofing makeover by installing new windows, WaterGuard, ThermalDry, and a TripleSafe sump pump.  All of these products worked together to keep the basement permanently dry.
