Fast and Effective Concrete Lifting and Leveling

The major flaw of concrete is that the ground that it was poured on top of will inevitably shift and sink over time. In the states of Illinois and Missouri sinking concrete is all too common which is why our company has gone to great lengths to develop fast and effective concrete lifting and leveling solutions. PolyLevel is a revolutionary product that is minimally invasive and not only lifts and levels concrete but also stabilizes it.

How PolyLevel works:

  1. The concrete lifting and leveling process begins with a few small holes drilled in the slab.
  2. Then the PolyLevel polymer is injected into the holes and expands to provide an accurate lift.
  3. After only about 15 minutes the polymer is dry and the concrete is ready to be walked and even driven on.

This concrete lifting and leveling technique is faster, less disruptive, and arguably more effective than mud jacking, which is the standard that PolyLevel replaces. We even offer SealantPro concrete sealing, which extends slabs' lifespans by 3 to 5 times overall in just one quick application. This concrete sealing system is resistant to moisture, oil, UV rays, abrasions, and more.

To remove tripping hazards, stabilize concrete, and lift it back to a level height nothing is faster or more effective than PolyLevel concrete leveling. After, our concrete sealing system will preserve your slabs for a lifetime. To schedule a FREE concrete lifting and leveling or concrete sealing estimate, contact us today!

We can Fix:
  • Sunken sidewalks
  • Sagging steps
  • Uneven patios
  • Sinking driveways

Job Stories From Energy, IL
Craw Space in Tilton, Illinois Encapsulated with CleanSpace Vapor Barrier

Ralph M. of Tilton, IL was looking for an effective way to keep water and vapor out of his crawl space. System design specialist Nolan M. recommended the CleanSpace Vapor Barrier, due to its numerous benefits. It keeps moisture and air from seeping into the space through the ground, keeping it dry and critter-free. It also helps reduce heating costs in the winter by preventing cold air from seeping into the crawl space and into the home. Our foreman James L. and his crew installed CleanSpace and now Ralph can enjoy lower energy costs, and a clean and dry crawl space.

Dirty Crawl Space Encapsulated and Insulated in McLeansboro, IL

Rob R. of McLeansboro, IL contacted Woods Basement Systems because the crawl space under a portion of his home was filled with a foot of water. He was interested in having the space encapsulated and scheduled a free estimate.

Specialist John S. evaulated the home and determined that the encapsulation system including the CleanSpace vapor barrier, the SilverGlo thermal wall panels, Dr. Energy Saver air sealing, and the SmartSump sump pump, would be the best solution.

In this photo gallery, you will see each of these products and a brief explanation.

The Need for Incapsulated Crawlspaces

This crawlspace in Sappington, MO. was left unprotected from the hazards that come with a dirt floor. The dirt floor acts as a highway for insects, mold and water vapor to enter the home from below.

These hazards can lead to serious damage to the roof of the crawlspace - which is the floor to the rooms above! By incapsulating the crawlspace and sealing the dirt floor and walls with CleanSpace™, the pests, mold and water vapor can be blocked and the crawlspace protected.

It's particularly important to block water vapor from rising into the crawlspace, as this water vapor will feed mold growth and cause damage to the wooden structures and insulation above. Once the insulation gets wet, it loses its form and practically all of its insulating properties. The damp air will also rise into the home above and, because damp air is harder to condition, it will make the entire home less energy efficient.

By incapsulating this crawlspace, the homeowner will have a safer, more energy efficient home that can be properly insulated now that water vapor and mold are blocked out of the crawlspace.

Replacing Pumps in Energy, IL.

Homeowner Michael D. had previously had a TripleSafe™ sump pump system installed in their basement in Energy IL. When the time came for a maintenance check, Dave P. checked the pumps and the basement for signs of wear or water damage.

During his inspection, Dave was able to replace one of the pumps in the TripleSafe™ that needed to be fixed. The new pump was installed in place of the old, maintaining the effectiveness of the TripleSafe™ system without interrupting protection to get a new replacement. Dave also noticed that the air in the basement was still somewhat damp. To fix this problem, he installed a Sedona dehumidifier. The Sedona will drain moisture out of the air and pour it directly into the TripleSafe™ pump so it can be pumped out of the home. The Sedona will also filter the air, removing things like mold spores and dust mites and making the air feel more comfortable and breathable.

Dave P. will return again for the next maintenance check to continue to ensure that Michael D. and his home are protected by the best waterproofing solutions in the best possible condition.

CleanSpace™ Incapsulating

When dirt crawlspaces started causing problems in Judy P.'s home, she turned to John L. of Woods Basement Systems to help resolve her crawlspace issues.

The product she needed was CleanSpace™. This vapor barrier blocks water vapor that rises from the dirt floor and condenses inside the crawlspace. By totally incapsulating the crawlspace, CleanSpace™ can prevent new mold from growing and help insulate the air, keeping the whole home at a more comfortable temperature while also lowing energy costs for heating and cooling.

The crawlspace beneath Judy's home won't leak water vapor into her home any longer now that CleanSpace™ is keeping it clean, dry and comfortable.

CleanSpace, TerraBlock, and SilverGlo Installed in Affton, MO

Affton, Missouri homeowner Barbara tried home fixes to her musty gravel crawl space. When they didn't help she gave Woods Basement Systems a call. System Design Specialist Brandon B. devleoped a solution.

Foreman James L. and his crew installed crawl space encapsulation, including CleanSpace with drainage matting, SilverGlo insulation, TerraBlock insulation, Vent Covers, and a SaniDry Sedona.

A full crawl space encapsultion works to keep the crawl space at a low relative humidity. It also seals off the crawl space from the dirt, allergens, mold, and critters that can get in when it is open and vented.

Vent Covers are gasketed covers for the crawl space vents. They keep the weather and air out of the space reducing the relative humidity, keeping the temperature consistent, and keeps pest out.

CleanSpace is an inorganic anti-microbial vapor barrier that seals the crawl space in. This will reduce allergens in the air, increasing the air quality and smell. It also provides energy savings because dry air is cheaper to heat and cool.

TerraBlock under the CleanSpace is a great way to insulate the floor of a gravel crawl space. It adds to the value of the encapsulation by increasing energy savings. It is lined with a vapor barrier and thicker than CleanSpace so it cannot be punctured and makes a softer surface for you and service professional who need to be in the space.

Drainage matting is that extra layer of protection from moisture seeping in through the floor. It gives the water vapor that enters through the ground a path to follow to the sump pump to leave the crawl space.

SilverGlo insulation goes on the walls for added R-Value insulation. The tiny graphite particles reflect the cool or warm air back into the space doubling the efficiency.

A SaniDry Sedona is the perfect finishing element. It can filter 120 pints of liquid from the air in using the same electricity as a 40-pint unit. It is the only Energy Star rated dehumidifier. At 60 pounds it is easy to move around in the crawl space and is self-draining. It filters the air to remove dust mite droppings and other allergens as well.

Barbara now has a dry, odor-free crawl space that she can use for storage.

CleanSpace Installed in Allenville, Illinois Crawl Space

Carole and Kyia M. of Allenville, Illinois were troubled by their musty, moldy crawl space. Water seepage in the crawl space caused mold to thrive. System design specialist Greg B. designed a solution to waterproof the crawl space.

Foreman James L. installed the CleanSpace crawl space encapsulation system. CleanSpace is an inorganic vapor barrier, so it prevents mold and water from entering the space. In addition to CleanSpace, SaniDry was installed. SaniDry is an energy-efficient dehumidifier. It reduces mold growth without hiking energy costs.

Carole and Kyia are pleased to have a dry crawl space that will stay dry. They can breath easily knowing their crawl space is mold-free.

Moldy Crawl Space Restored with CleanSpace and SaniDry

Carol L. of O'Fallon, Illinois was troubled by her musty, moldy crawl space. Water leaked into her crawl space causing mold. The mold can be hazardous to the structural integrity of the home, but it can also be hazardous to her family's health. System Design Specialist Brandon B. designed a solution to restore her crawl space.

Foreman Josh B. and his team installed the CleanSpace crawl space encapsulation system. CleanSpace is an inorganic vapor barrier so it prevents water from entering the basement and prevents mold growth. To further prevent mold growth, SaniDry was installed. SaniDry is an energy-efficient dehumidifier. It prevents mold without hiking energy bills.

Carol's crawl space is now dry and mold free. She is pleased to know she no longer has to worry about water leaking into her crawl space.

CleanSpace Encapsulation System Makes Crawl Space Usable in O'Fallon, IL

Michelle O. of O’Fallon, IL had a damp and humid crawl space in her home. The moisture in her crawl space was causing the wooden floor joists above to rot. Metal pipes as well as the floor support system she’d had installed by a different company were rusting due to the high relative humidity. The flimsy plastic liner she had in the crawl space did little to nothing to keep moisture out so she called Woods Basement Systems for a free inspection. After assessing the crawl space, Design Specialist John S. recommended a crawl space encapsulation system.

Over the foundation walls and dirt floors, Woods installed CleanSpace. CleanSpace is a durable plastic moisture barrier that is secured in place to seal out moisture and keep the crawl space dry and usable. It’s mold resistant and its bright white color maximizes available light within the crawl space.

Drainage Matting was installed under the CleanSpace along the dirt floors of the crawl space. Drainage Matting is dimpled to prove channels for moisture from the dirt floors to disperse.

The SaniDry dehumidifier was also installed in the crawl space. The SaniDry dehumidifier is as energy efficient as smaller store-bought units but much more powerful. It can remove up to 109 pints of water from crawl space air in a day. It keeps relative humidity low to prevent the conditions that cause rot, rust and mold.

Michelle O. has peace of mind that her crawl space will remain dry and that she can safely use it for storage.

PolyLEVEL Restores Energy, Illinois Driveway

Vivian T., Energy, Illinois homeowner, was troubled by her cracked, uneven driveway. The driveway was a safety concern, and it took a toll on her vehicles. Foreman David G. installed a solution.

David and his team installed PolyLEVEL. PolyLEVEL is a foam that lifts and aligns concrete to its original position. PolyLEVEL does not interact with the soil, so it is a safe, long lasting solution.

SaniDry Installed in Ladue, MO

A SaniDry was installed to filter moisture out of the air in the basement. A SaniDry is a dehumidifier for the space and will help control the humidity. Controlling the humidity of the basement will reduce energy bills and make the home more comfortable because the air that is moving throughout the basement is more controlled.

SaniDry Installed in Swansea, IL

Terry P. of Swansea, IL had a humid crawlspace. He knew that this air was traveling into his home and making the air of the home humid also. Woods Basement Systems had the perfect product to reduce the humidity.

Woods installed a SaniDry to filter moisture out of the air in the crawlspace. A SaniDry is a dehumidifier for the space and will help control the humidity. Controlling the humidity of the crawlspace will reduce energy bills and make the home more comfortable because the air that is moving into the house is more controlled.

CleanSpace Installed in Webster Groves, MO

Chris F. of Webster Groves, MO had water leaking into his crawlspace. The water would eventually cause mold and rotting wood. Woods Basement Systems provided Chris with products to keep the water out of the crawlspace.

CleanSpace was installed to help seal off the crawlspace. This seal will prevent outside water from seeping into the space and making it damp. If your crawlspace stays dry, there will be a reduced chance of mold and rotting wood. Vent covers were also installed for additional sealing. These covers create an air tight seal and do not allow water or moisture into the crawlspace.

SilverGlo Insulated Panels were installed to provide additional insulation for the space. These panels help control the environment of the space and helped lower Chris' energy bills.

WaterGuard Installed in Brentwood, MO

Liz A. had a leaky Brentwood, MO basement. If the area experienced heavy rains, she would have a puddle in her basement for a couple days. Woods Basement Systems installed a product to help drain the water out of the basement.

Woods installed WaterGuard to help drain water out of the basement. WaterGuard is installed against the wall in the concrete of the floor. The water will flow into the WaterGuard, allowing the piping to lead the water out of the basement.

A SaniDry was installed to filter moisture out of the air in the crawlspace. A SaniDry is a dehumidifier for the space and will help control the humidity. Controlling the humidity of the crawlspace will reduce energy bills and make the home more comfortable because the air that is moving into the house is more controlled.

Woods installed a discharge line that was attached to a TripeSafe sump pump. This sump pump would pump the water in the basement through the discharge line. The discharge line leads the water into the yard where it is drained. The line can become frozen or clogged in some situations. In order to prevent the water from backing up into the basement, Woods installed IceGuard. IceGuard provides an escape route for the water so that it does not back up into the basement.

WaterGuard and SaniDry Keep Affton, Missouri Basement Dry

Affton, Missouri homeowner Robert R. was troubled by water leaking into his basement where the floor meets the wall. The water seepage caused mold and created an odor. System design specialist TJ J. designed a solution to keep the basement dry.

Ryan L., foreman, installed WaterGuard. WaterGuard is a perimeter drainage system that collects and guides water to the TwinPack sump pump system. In addition to WaterGuard, SaniDry was installed. SaniDry is an energy efficient dehumidifier. Keeping the humidity low keeps the mold away.

Robert's basement is now dry and will stay dry. He is pleased to have a comfortable basement free of mold.

SaniDry Installed in Des Pres, MO

Glenn and Gloria B. in Des Pres, MO were having humidity control issues in their crawlspace. The humid air of the crawlspace was rising into the house, making the home's climate harder to control and the energy bill go up.

Woods Basement Systems installed CleanSpace to seal off the space and prevent water and moisture from getting in. A drainage matt was installed under the CleanSpace to drain away any unwanted water that may be standing in the crawlspace.

A condensation pump was installed with the machine in order to pump the condensation removed from the air by the SaniDry.

CleanSpace Installation in Webster Groves, MO

Tony and Jill R. of Webster Groves, MO were having humidity control issues in their crawlspace. This humidity was causing their energy bills to rise and their home uncomfortable. Tony and Jill called Woods Basement Systems for an efficient solution.

Woods came in and installed a drainage matting under CleanSpace. This drainage mat would help drain away any water that may get into the crawlspace. The CleanSpace was used to seal off the space to prevent moisture from getting into the space, helping to keep it dry and less humid.

New Support for Mt Vernon, IL Bank

Jane L. with a local Mt Vernon, IL Bank was experiencing foundation issues, a leaky crawlspace, and flooding in the basement. Knowing the issue would only grow, Jane called Woods Basement Systems for help.

Woods installed power braces in the basement to give the structure support and fix the foundation issues. The power braces are attached to the top of the structure and at the basement floor. They are used to push and hold the wall to stop inward wall movement. Over time they will help restore the vertical integrity of the foundation wall.

Woods installed CleanSpace to seal off the crawlspace from outside moisture. This would reduce the risk of mold and rotting wood by eliminating the amount of moisture in the crawlspace. Vent covers were also installed for additional sealing.

A TripleSafe sump pump was installed to evacuate unwanted water. The sump pump will pump the water out through a discharge line that leads the water to the yard. This line can become clogged or frozen at times, in order to prevent the water from receding back into the crawlspace, Woods installed IceGuard. IceGuard is installed on the discharge line next to the house and allows water to escape through it when it is necessary.

CleanSpace Installed in Mt Vernon, IL

In his Mt Vernon, IL crawlspace, Kraig K. was having climate control issues. These issues were leading to high energy bills and and an uncomfortable home environment. Kraig called Woods Basement Systems to find a solution.

Woods installed CleanSpace to seal off the space and prevent water and moisture from getting in. Vent covers were also installed for additional sealing. These covers create an air tight seal and do not allow water or moisture into the crawlspace.

SilverGlo Insulated Panels were installed to provide additional insulation for the space. These panels help control the environment of the space and helped lower Kraig's energy bills.

Energy Bill Reduced in Ellisville, MO

Having an improperly sealed crawlspace can cause mold, rotting wood, high energy bills, and many other issues with your home. Ronald and Mary M. of Ellisville, MO were experiencing high energy bills and wanted to reduce them.

Improperly sealed crawlspaces make it more difficult to heat and cool your home. This is because air rises, whether it be hot or cold. If the air in your crawlspace is cold and you are trying to warm up your home, the air conditioning will have to work harder to warm the house. The cold air can also make the floors cold, making it uncomfortable to walk on.

These conditions can be fixed by controlling the climate of your crawlspace. Ronald and Mary M. had Woods Basement Systems come in and install products that would do this.

Woods installed CleanSpace and a SaniDry to control the moisture and climate of the crawlspace. These products work to keep moisture out and reduce humidity. These are some of the key factors in controlling the climate of your crawlspace.

Basement Dehumidifier In Olney, IL

Olney residents, Sally & Robert had a very humid basement.  Because it was a large space, they were not sure what kind of dehumidifier would be able to work for them.  A friend referred them to Woods Basement Systems and they set up a free consultation with representative, Robert Millerbaugh.

After a thorough assessment, Millerbaugh suggested the innovative SaniDry XP dehumidifier.  The couple appealed to this products because it was specially made for large spaces, and it was very powerful yet energy efficient.  They scheduled the installation for the following month.

The installation by foreman Matthew Turner and his crew took a single day.  The product contains a hose drain directing the water to their sump pump.  Today, they are enjoying their basement and no longer have to worry about uncomfortable humidity.

Radon Mitigation System and Sump Cover Installed in Edwardsville, IL

Robert of Edwardsville, IL grew concerned when he found out he had high levels of Radon seeping into his home from his basement. Wanting something to be done, he contacted Woods Basement Systems, Inc., and the company sent their System Design Specialist, David, to Robert's home to figure out what needed to be done.

David believed Robert needed not only a new sump cover but also a radon mitigation system to help eliminate the high levels of radon in his basement. Robert agreed with David's diagnosis and scheduled an appointment for Woods Basement Systems, Inc. to send someone to install everything.

Within two weeks, Woods Basement Systems, Inc. sent their Dr. Energy Saver foreman, Mike, to Robert's house in Edwardsville, and he and his crew replaced the sump cover as well as installed PVC piping along the basement wall of Robert's utility closet. The piping led from the basement to the garage, and it followed up to the attic where Mike placed a radon mitigation fan to release the radon into the atmosphere through the exhaust he installed on the roof. Once everything was completed, Mike suggested to Robert to contact the company for someone to stop by within the next thirty days to perform a retest in order to make sure the mitigation system was working properly.

After Mike and his crew left, Robert was satisfied with the work that was performed and felt at ease now that he didn't have to worry about the radon within his home anymore.

Geo-Lock Foundation & CleanSpace in Ballwin, MO

Ballwin resident, Mary O, was concerned about the deterioration of her homes foundation over the years.  The basement walls were bowing & buckling, and the crawl space grew wet with a musty smell.  She was referred by a friend to call Woods Basement Systems.

On July 3rd, 2014, representative, Chris Tite visited Mary’s home to diagnose what was causing her issues.  After his assessment, Chris explained to Mary that the foundation soil was exceeding way too much pressure on the outside walls.  He suggested that a Geo-Lock Wall Anchor System will prevent them from getting worse, as well as help straighten them back to normal.  He also informed her on the state-of-the-art CleanSpace Liner that would act as a barrier from moisture, outside air, as well as pests.  This process of crawl space encapsulation would get rid of the musty smell.  Mary felt comfortable with Chris’s knowledge as well as Wood’s access to the high-tech materials, she decided Woods Basement Systems was the right one for the job.

On July 17th, foreman Todd Wells and his crew began the transformation.  The anchors were inserted in the soil outside the foundation.  There, they are connected to the foundation walls by a steel rod to apply pressure.  This procedure helps form them back to its original position.  Mary’s home required 50 feet of CleanSpace liner to cover her entire crawl space.  The liner will not only prevent the musty smell, but will also help save energy costs.

In just two days, the entire job was complete and Mary could not be happier with the results.  She is now more comfortable knowing her home's foundation is safe, clean and warranted.

Saving Energy with CleanSpace

Sheila and Dale were on a mission to make their home more comfortable and energy efficient so they sought out the guidance of Dr. Energy Saver.

The CleanSpace crawl space encapsulation system was installed to isolate the house from the earth. CleanSpace is a practical and fresh-looking energy saver that not only reduces air flow that comes from under then into the home, but also provides additional storage space that is safe from damage. Dimple matting was also installed on the ground of the crawl space to allow water to drain as necessary.

Sheila and Dale are now able to enjoy their new space while making the home more comfortable and efficient thanks to Dr. Energy Saver.

Finding Comfort in Moscow Mills

Tim was living a very uncomfortable life in his Moscow Mills home. His first floor and master bedroom were drafty, the insulation from the laundry room was filling soffits, which restricted air flow, and on top of all that, Tim was basically paying to live in discomfort through his energy bills.

Dr. Energy Saver was on the case. By using the Stack Effect principle, where air leaking out of the home causes air to in, we were able to see that unwanted air was being sucked into the basement and the good conditioned air was escaping from the attic. Dr. Energy Saver installed rim joists and use spray foam in the basement to create a thermal barrier against air leaking in to reduce the first floor draft and used similar tactics to handle the comfort abilities and energy costs in the home.

Tim can now live in complete contentment thanks to Dr. Energy Saver.

Woods Solves Cold Basement Issue in St. Louis, MO

A St. Louis, MO customer called Woods Basement Systems in a panic because she had recently had work done by another company in her basement, yet there was still water seeping through the cracks.  She was very unsatisfied with the previous work that had been done, and all she had to show was an uneven chain link fence, concrete poured in her yard, and a cut cable line.

Woods sent out the Production Manager to inspect the issues and found that the windows that had been installed were measured incorrectly, which caused cracks and the temperature in the basement to drop.  The customer had Woods install Everlast windows and scheduled an appointment with Dr. Energy Saver.

The customer was very satisfied with the work done by Woods Basement Systems, and can now live comfortably in her basement.
