This St. Louis crawl space once suffered from groundwater seepage and mold, creating musty odors in the home above.  Woods Basement Systems installed the CleanSpace crawl space encapsulation system with SmartPipe perimeter drainage and the SmartSump sump pump system to seal moisture out, reduce mold and odors upstairs, and turn the crawl space into a clean, dry space.

Wet, sagging insulation and disconnected ductwork made for one nasty and inefficient crawl space.  The moisture and humidity had caused insulation to sag and fall to the dirt floor.  No one knows why a section of ductwork was just dangling, but the homeowners sure didn't appreciate the energy wasted to heat and cool the crawl space.

Now, the crawl space is sealed and encapsulated with the CleanSpace vapor barrier, and the ductwork is properly connected.  A sump pump system pumps groundwater out from under vapor barrier and away from the home.  The homeowners enjoy warmer floors in the winter, breathe cleaner air upstairs, and benefit from lower utility bills.

Air conditioners tend to get really cold when they are on for long periods of time especially during this time of year. hot warm air moving against your AC pipes in your basements allow for water drops to form and they begin to drip onto your walls and floor allowing water to build up and make new openings for other water to enter.

Bruce and Christa bought the WaterGuard system and the CleanSpace wall coverings to keep water from covering the floor of their basement. The BrightWall covering will keep all the water behind it and move it down to the WaterGuard drainage system connected to their SumpPump. This system and wall coverings will keep their basement dryer and looking clean and bright for weeks to come.

Unstable and Leaking Foundation Repaired in Oakville, MO

A foundation was shifting in an Oakville, MO basement, causing it to crack and leak water. To solve this issue, specialized GeoLock Wall Anchors were installed. These longer wall anchors are a customized solution for extreme foundation failure, as they will permanently stabilize the wall, straightening it to its original position and keeping it in place. The cracks will also be closed so that no water can leak through. Next, a partial CleanSpace Basement Wall System was installed. This will act as a drain curtain that will make sure that water can drain directly into the WaterGuard System, which will direct this water to the sump pump system to then be pumped out of the house. These specialized systems will ensure that the basement stays dry and clean for years to come!

Water was coming down a basement wall in Saint Louis, MO, Causing concern. To solve this issue, the CleanSpace Basement Wall System was installed. This will prevent water vapor from permeating the basement walls. The white color will also brighten the basement, reflecting the light. Any wall leaks will also be drained down to the WaterGuard System. These drainage pipes intercept water at the perimeter of the basement and drain it toward the sump pump system. This system has a design that will drain any wall seepage without allowing dirt and debris from the floor to enter and clog the pipes. Thanks to these systems, this basement will remain clean and dry for years to come!

WaterGuard™ and a New Sump Pump

David and Charity H. of Oakville, Missouri needed a better way to protect their basement from water leaking in from outside. Foreman Dave P. knew just the remedies they needed.

In a basement such as theirs, water can often seep in the crack between the wall and the floor, as well as through small gaps in the walls. The first step is making sure that any water that does come from those areas is diverted to the sump pump so that it can be pumped back outside.
