The hydrostatic pressure causing the block wall to bow in also creates stair step cracks in the corners of the basement walls in this Chesterfield, Illinois basement. Groundwater seepage is evidenced by the stains left behind by muddy water.
The finished look after installing the Geo-Lock Anchors and the Brightwall.
Wall anchors, wall anchor covers, and BrightWall were all successfully installed and now making the basement look brand new.
After BrightWall was installed the owner didn't want the wall anchors to be exposed like such. Wall anchor covers did just the trick.

Basement Waterproofing and CleanSpace in Chesterfield, MO
Dawn and David noticed that there was water in their crawl space, and there was mold. Their crawl space also infected their basement. The walls of the basement had big dried up water spots that weren’t very appealing. They didn’t report that there was any bad smells going on, and the mold had not affected them. Dawn and David use their basement for extra living space, so they knew the problem needed to be fixed right away.
Woods Basement Systems, Inc. sales rep Kevin went out to inspect the home, and he gave them the solution they needed: SmartPipe and CleanSpace. SmartPipe allowed water from the crawl space to drain out so their crawl space and basement would stay dry, and CleanSpace to prevent mold from growing and the musty smell that comes with it. Juan and his crew went out to the house and installed the products in an efficient amount of time.
Dawn and David were very satisfied with the work done by Juan and his crew, and now they can live comfortably.
Crawl Space Flooding in St. Charles, MO
Crawl Space Flooding
This week Irene had her crawlspace flooded with water and needed it the water gone as soon as possible. She also wanted to stop the water flow at its source. The problem was that water was coming in from under the home and getting in through footers and flooding the entire basement. In turn, this water made it damp and humid, which is the perfect environment for mold to colonize. Woods Basement Systems came out to evaluate her concerns and see how they could correct the situation. Irene purchased the SmartPump System, the SmartPipe System, the SaniDry XP System as well as the CleanSpace wall coverings to insure that everything would be fixed the proper way once and for all. With all of these systems working together, there was no way water was going to be a concern for her anymore. The SumpPump would get the water out and the SmartPipe would catch any water coming through the dirt floor.
Now production had to begin, first a hole was dug out and the SmartPump System was placed inside and turned up so that all the water in the basement was pumped out. Originally the water collected all around the basement, not a trench was dug where the SmartPipe would lie in order to catch any water coming through the dirt floor. All exteriors lines for the SmartPump were then connected and lead outside of the home. Now that the two main systems where placed and ready to go, the CleanSpace wall covering was placed over the top floor which made it brighter and waterproof. With the CleanSpace done, the last thing to do was to suck out the humid air with the SaniDry System and prevent mold growth. Irene was very pleased on how her crawlspace turned out and how dry is has become from the original point. If you or someone you know is looking to have their crawlspace inspected give us a call here at Woods Basement Systems located in Collinsville, IL.
The Warranted FlexiSpan Wall Crack Repair System
Rick & Kathy, residents of Chesterfield, grew very concerned when they noticed water was leaking into their basement from the cracks in the wall. After attempting to apply a messy masonry sealant that did not work, they realized they needed professionals.
On February 9th, 2011, Wood’s representative, David McDaniel visited the couple’s home for a diagnosis and a free estimate. David explained how wall cracks are often caused by the foundation movement from soil expansion & contraction. He informed them about the state-of-the-art FlexiSpan Wall Crack Repair System, and how it would permanently correct their leaky basement issues. Rick & Kathy felt immediate relief from David’s knowledge & set up the appointment to get it done right then and there. Two days later, Jose Lorenzana & his crew arrived to save their basement.
First, a flexible sealant was applied inside of the length of the cracks, as well as a flexible foam strip over the top of them. Lastly, a water resistant membrane was applied to both sides of the foam strips. This membrane directs any access leakage to the basement’s perimeter drainage system. Jose and crew members finished the job in one day.
Rick & Kathy are now enjoying their leak-free basement with the warranted FlexiSpan system.

Chesterfield Home Can Now Withstand the Rain
David plans on living in his house for the rest of his life. When rain ruined his carpet, David sought aid for his leaking basement. Woods Basement Systems performed a free home inspection and advised David to purchase a TripleSafe sump pump as well as WaterGuard, two IceGuards, and our incredible ThermalDry floor tiling.
What makes this a great waterproofing system? The WaterGuard collects water from all directions thanks to its patented wall flanges. The TripleSafe receives water from WaterGuard and pumps it out of the house. To address the possibility of freezing of discharge lines, IceGuard is designed to dispel the backing-up water before it floods the pump. Each product plays an instrumental role in keeping water out of David's basement.
Our exemplary ThermalDry floor tiles nearly sold themselves with their beauty and practicality. These simple snap-on tiles are durable, spill-resistant, and they dehumidify air from the ground using circulation pockets.
David can now happily spend his days of retirement in a dry, happy, healthy home; you can too!
