Foreman, Matthew R. installed the product. PolyLevel is used to permanently lift ad stabilize sinking concrete slabs using a polyurethane formula. It is a foam-like substance that expands underneath the concrete to lift it back to its original position. How it works is first, small dime-sized holes are drilled into the concrete. Then the polymer is injected into the holes. There is time allowed for it to set and then the holes are covered with cement. Within 15 minutes of installation, the concrete can be used again.

Woods installed Geo-Lock Wall Anchors along the cracked foundation walls. Earth anchors are embedded in more stable soil conditions in the yard and connected to galvanized steel anchor rods that have been driven through the foundation walls. The anchor rods are attached to wall anchor plates on the inside of the walls and permanently stabilize the foundation walls in place.

Woods injected Polylevel through the cement slabs of the walk and driveway that had sunk which caused the unevenness. PolyLevel is an expanding polymer foam that lifts and lefts the slabs. It cures in about 15 minutes so the walk and driveway can be used in much less time than traditional mudjacking, which can take an hour.

The TripleSafe Sump Pump System was installed to take the water coming in from the WaterGuard and pump it out of the basement. The TripleSafe consists of three pumps: a primary, a secondary and a battery back up pump. If the primary pump fails or can’t keep up with the water, the secondary pump will take over and if the power goes out, the battery back up pump will continue pumping all the unwanted water out through the discharge lines and safely away from the basement. IceGuards were installed on the discharge lines on the exterior of the home. Should the discharge lines become clogged or frozen, the IceGuards allow the trapped water to escape through its slotted openings so the water doesn’t come back into the basement.

Tim S. was experiencing some bowing walls in his finished basement in Waterloo, Illinois. If left untouched, this could have become a major problem for Tim. He called Woods Basement Systems, where Systems Design Specialist Thomas Wittrock came to design a solution based on Tim's long-term needs. The solution was to install PowerBrace™ support braces, which were installed by Foreman Jeremy Raby and his team, to provide the walls with extra support and prevent further bowing. Over time, the PowerBrace™ supports can be adjusted to return the walls to their original vertical positions. Tim will no longer need to worry about his basement walls cracking and bowing in those areas, due to the increased support.

Barry, a previous customer of Woods Basement Systems called back for an extra sump pump in his new CleanSpace crawl space.  The Ultra Sump was installed just in case his primary pump failed.  This pump would be the back up system and would turn on to keep this space from leaking.  Now, Barry is greatly satisfied with the condition of his crawl space and how it will forever stay clean and dry.
