A home in Sparta, Illinois owned by Wanda R. was having problems with it’s foundation and needed some wall support. Wanda had noticed over the years that the walls of her foundation were beginning to crack and spread larger every year. Unsure of what to do to fix it, she decided to call Woods Basement Systems. A homeowner from Sparta, IL wanted to finally waterproof and update her crawl space, and she knew exactly who to call. Once she reached out to Woods Basement Systems, she was quickly connected with system design specialist, Chris T., who worked with her to find a permanent way to clean up and waterproof her crawl space. Chris gave the recommendation of installing a CleanSpace vapor barrier system onto the walls and floor to seal the crawl space while also giving the space a fresh new look. 

Head foreman, Robert G. installed the CleanSpace barrier system. Robert led his team of installers to quickly and efficiently install the new system into Nancy's dirty crawl space. Now that a CleanSpace system has been established, Nancy can rest easy knowing that her crawl space is clean, dry, and safe!

Tom W. of Sparta, Illinois was having issues with water leaking into his basement. During periods of rain, it would leak from behind the wood paneling on the bottom half of the wall. Over time, the water had badly damaged this paneling and had led to mold growth behind it. Tom wanted the issue taken care of quickly and professionally, so he called Woods Basement Systems.

In order to waterproof the basement, foreman Miguel and his team first had to rip out the wood paneling on the bottom of the wall. After this, WaterGuard drains were installed underneath the floor at the base of the leaking walls to catch the leaks and prevent them from making it onto the floor. Finally, a TripleSafe sump pump, equipped with three independently operating pumps, was put in place to remove any water caught by the WaterGuard drains. Tom couldn't be happier!

Ann of Sparta, Illinois previously used her basement as storage space. Once she noticed water leaking into the space, she decided to take action and contact Woods Basement Systems. She was then put in contact with system design specialist, Luke K., who recommended a TwinPack sump pump, WaterGuard, and CleanSpace.

The bowing walls were a major concern, so to ensure the walls wouldn't bow anymore push piers needed to correct the foundations stability. 

Foreman Miguel O. and his team installed the new stabilizing products. Once completed, Rhonda was so pleased with the end condition of her home that she set-up another appointment to fix the cracking of her basement walls. 

Sparta, Illinois homeowner Tom had a front sidewalk that was uneven, creating a trip hazard and wet feet when it rained. He gave Woods Basement Systems a call and System Design Specialist Nolan developed the plan for Tom. 

Foreman Matt and his crew injected the PolyLevel under the sidewalk. The eco-friendly expanding foam will level the walkway without and prevent future settling. It will not wash out either. The holes for injection are smaller than a penny and will be filled in without noticing. 

Tom can now walk safety and have proper drainage on his walk into his home. 

Daryl was concerned about the stability of her home when she noticed cracking outside. She wasn't sure what the cause was so she gave Woods Basement Systems a call. System Design Specialist John S. developed a plan to fix this issue.

Push Piers transfer the weight of the structure of the home to a steel rod resting on the bedrock, this prevents future settling and returns the home to the original position.

Thanks to the installation of push piers by Team Woods, now this homeowner can know that her home is stable and safe.

Sparta, Illinois homeowners Michael and Mary were worried about a crack the was appearing along a drywall seam in their living room. They gave Woods Basement Systems a call and System Design Specialist Luke K. developed a plan for them. 

Foreman Brad P. and his crew installed the Push Pier system to support their home. Since their home was settling at different rates, it was pulling the seam of the drywall apart. By installing Push Piers, we can stop the settling and return that portion of the home to its original position.

Tammy of Sparta, Illinois had an unsealed crawl space and wanted to do preventative work, so she called Woods Basement Systems. Systems design specialist, David P., recommended CleanSpace encapsulation for the job. 

Foreman, James L. installed the product. CleanSpace works to fully seal off crawl spaces from dirt, moisture, and critters. The vapor barrier is made of inorganic materials, causing it to not support mold growth. 

Now, Tammy L. has a safe and dry crawl space. 

Overtime the dirt that a house sets on can settle causing parts of the house to sink. This’s why Pat L called Woods Basement Systems. System Design Specialist Jeremy R was able to come up with a solution to the problem.

Foreman Bradly P installed a SmartJack under Pat’s home. The SmartJack will rest on a stable level of soil, and support the portion of the house that is sinking.

Elizabeth H. had already done work with Woods Basements before to stabilize other walls in her basement before she knew the benefits of Geo-Lock Anchors. When she had her annual maintenance performed by Nate H., he noticed that the other walls in her basement had begun bowing. In some places they were bowing over an inch and support beams had begun to intrude through the walls! He recommended more Geo-Lock Wall Anchors to prevent new cracks from forming or possible wall failure.

Eleven more Geo-lock Anchors were installed in the remaining basement walls. They were tightened to ensure that the walls wouldn't bow or move any further and over time, straighten the walls.

Elizabeth H. was relieved that the bowing was caught early enough to avoid any bigger problems and Woods Basement Systems was there to fix her problem.

Barry, a previous customer of Woods Basement Systems called back for an extra sump pump in his new CleanSpace crawl space.  The Ultra Sump was installed just in case his primary pump failed.  This pump would be the back up system and would turn on to keep this space from leaking.  Now, Barry is greatly satisfied with the condition of his crawl space and how it will forever stay clean and dry.
