This Champaign, Illinois basement was plagued with water leaks during periods of heavy rain. The constant moisture had damaged valuables, and it made it difficult to make effective use of the space. In order to keep the basement dry, a Woods Basement Systems team installed an under-floor WaterGuard drainage system at the base of the leaking walls. These French drains totally prevent wall leaks from reaching the floor!

Team Woods installed Geo-Lock Wall Anchors to brace the damaged wall. Geo-Lock uses a galvanized steel rod and heavy-duty steel plates to reinforce and even straighten bending walls with minimal disruption to the home or yard.

This partially finished Sparta, Illinois basement was plagued with leaks. During extended periods of rain, water would stream down the walls from behind the wood paneling at the base of the walls. This moisture had badly damaged the wood and stained the floors, and it was threatening several electrical outlets. The homeowner wanted the problem solved, so he called Woods Basement Systems. After ripping out the paneling, a Woods team installed, among other things, WaterGuard drains underneath the floor at the base of the leaking wall to catch any water and prevent it from making it onto the floor. After sitting down with one of our system design specialist, they found that their old piers had been oxidised and needed to be replaced. There were also signs of water coming in over there footing and the owners wanted this corrected before it got worse.
