Rossville, Illinois homeowner Rebecca was troubled by water leaking into her basement. System Design Specialist Luke B. inspected her home and designed a solution to keep her basement dry. Part of the problem was that her gutters drained right at the foundation of her home. This increase in water pressure in the soil caused the water to force its way through her poured foundation.
Foreman Juan H. and his team waterproofed the basement by installing WaterGuard, TwinPack, and IceGuard. IceGuard is pictured. It is installed to the exterior discharge line to provide an escape for water in the event that the lines become frozen or clogged. Foreman Donald A. and his crew installed SillPlate Draintile and an exterior sump pump. The SillPlate Draintile is a system that is installed along the side of the home. We dig 12" down and install waterproofing along the edge of the home and bottom of the hole so all water must go into the draintile. Once in the draintile, the water is moved to a sump pump where it is pumped away from the home.
