Water leaks can lead to damaging, costly repairs. WaterGuard drains prevent these leaks from accumulating inside by stopping the leaks at the source. This drainage system is installed in the footing of the walls to collect the leaks and direct them towards the basement sump pump. Woods installed two TripleSafe sump systems, one of which is shown in the picture, as part of the waterproofing system. Each TripleSafe contains a primary, a secondary and a battery back up pump. They take water from the drainage system and expel it out and away from the basement through their discharge lines. If the primary pump is unable to keep up with a higher volume of water coming from a heavy downpour, the secondary pump will automatically kick into action to keep the basement dry. In the event of a power outage, the battery back up pump can pump up to 11,000 gallons of water out of the basement on a full charge to keep water at bay until power is restored.
