Debbie R is worried about her foundation in the basement failing. The wall is bowing in, creating a large crack. To stabilize it and make sure no water gets in, Luis R and his crew installed PowerBrace to help support the foundation. This will permanently stabilize the foundation and repair the cracks. This will also bring the foundation back to its original position, and keep it there.

A CleanSpace Wall was also installed to prevent water vapor from coming in, making the walls clean and bright. It will also drain wall leaks down to the WaterGuard system, which was also installed to drain the water to the sump system. Debbie can now rest assured knowing that her foundation will forever be stabilized!

Fast and Effective Concrete Lifting and Leveling

The major flaw of concrete is that the ground that it was poured on top of will inevitably shift and sink over time. In the states of Illinois and Missouri sinking concrete is all too common which is why our company has gone to great lengths to develop fast and effective concrete lifting and leveling solutions. PolyLevel is a revolutionary product that is minimally invasive and not only lifts and levels concrete but also stabilizes it.

How PolyLevel works:

  1. The concrete lifting and leveling process begins with a few small holes drilled in the slab.
  2. Then the PolyLevel polymer is injected into the holes and expands to provide an accurate lift.
  3. After only about 15 minutes the polymer is dry and the concrete is ready to be walked and even driven on.

This concrete lifting and leveling technique is faster, less disruptive, and arguably more effective than mud jacking, which is the standard that PolyLevel replaces. We even offer SealantPro concrete sealing, which extends slabs' lifespans by 3 to 5 times overall in just one quick application. This concrete sealing system is resistant to moisture, oil, UV rays, abrasions, and more.

To remove tripping hazards, stabilize concrete, and lift it back to a level height nothing is faster or more effective than PolyLevel concrete leveling. After, our concrete sealing system will preserve your slabs for a lifetime. To schedule a FREE concrete lifting and leveling or concrete sealing estimate, contact us today!

We can Fix:
  • Sunken sidewalks
  • Sagging steps
  • Uneven patios
  • Sinking driveways

Crawlspace Waterproofing and Foundation Repair

In Taylorville, Illinois homeowners Wilburn and Marianna C. had their crawlspace waterproofed by Woods Basement Systems. They had problems for years with a damp useless crawlspace that was sending smells and other unwanted items into their home. Our foreman Clay Lasiter installed several items into the space including CleanSpace and TripleSafe Sump Pump System. Foundation Support in Taylorville, IL

Homeowner Alexander Z. of Taylorville, Illinois was aware that his home had foundation problems. He decided to wait and see if the problem got worse before calling someone out to help. Because his home was very damaged from the foundation problems, they decided to use two of our patented foundation support solutions to lift and stabilize his home. Wall Anchors Straightening Foundation Walls

This home in Taylorville, IL. was experiencing foundation wall troubles thanks to the pressures from expanding soils around the home. As the weather changes, soil will naturally expand and contract. This expansion pushes against the foundation walls and can cause cracking, leaning or bowing. In this home, the foundation walls were beginning to crack and lean inward.

To fix this problem, homeowner Casey V. reached out to Woods Basement Systems to install their foundation support products. Installer Michael R. was able to install wall anchors to support and straighten the walls. Wall anchors work by attaching a metal plate inside the home to an anchor plate buried outside with a steel rod. The connection on this rod is tightened, pulling the inside plate toward the anchor plate. This pulling force counters the pushing force of the expanding soil and permanently supports the weakened walls. In many cases, this system can even be used to straighten the walls back to their original position.

With the wall anchors permanently supporting the foundation walls, Casey V. won't have to worry about inward leaning walls anymore.

Sedona Dehumidifier and TripleSafe™

Sump pumps and drainage systems are great at keeping basements dry and protecting basements from flooding. But sometimes a basement feels damp and cave-like because the moisture is in the air. The best sump pump systems in the world can't pull water out of the air.

That's why the Sedona dehumidifier is the perfect addition for basements that still feel damp. The Sedona is so effective that it can drain over 12 gallons of water from the air in just a single day. What's more, it runs on the same amount of power as dehumidifiers that drain less than half as much!

If that wasn't reason enough to choose the Sedona, it can also filter tiny particles out of the air. Things that might affect the health of the home or the residents like mold spores, dust mites or even dust mite droppings. The air will not only be drier, but healthier too.

All the moisture that the Sedona collects gets drained into the TripleSafe™ sump pump system to be pumped out of the home. That means the homeowners won't even have to empty collection buckets to keep the dehumidifier running. And the TripleSafe™ system will be able to handle the extra water with its two powerful main pumps and a third, battery powered pump that can expell water out of the basement in even the heaviest of rainfalls.

The floors of this basement will be kept dry thanks to the TripleSafe™ sump pump system while the air is dried by the Sedona dehumidifier. That's a protected basement.

SaniDry™ in a Crawlspace

Gene D. of Taylorville, IL took care of his problematic dirt crawlspace in the past with our incapsulating system called CleanSpace™. With CleanSpace™ installed, Gene wouldn't have to worry about water seeping in through the dirt floor or walls and damaging the bottom of his home.

The final step in ensuring his crawlspace was dry and clean was adding a Sedona™ dehumidifier. This dehumidifier will pull water vapor from the air, where it could condense on cooler surfaces or damage the wooden joists and safely dispel it into the sump pump system where it can be pumped out of the home. It will also filter the air, cleaning it of any pesky mold spores or dust mites.

Gene's home is protected from water coming from both below ground and the air thanks to CleanSpace™ and the SaniDry™ dehumidifier.

Cracked and Uneven Concrete Fixed With PolyLevel Foam Injection in Taylorville, IL

Mallory C. of Taylorville, IL was having problems with the concrete in her basement cracking and appearing uneven. This can happen over time as a result of the weight of the concrete and the weight of what the concrete is responsible for holding up. She contacted Woods Basement Systems for a free estimate about resolving the issue.

Systems Design Specialist Matthew S. evaluated the situation and determined that the concrete was sinking and settling unevenly, which was the cause of the cracking. This can happen over time, due to the weight of the concrete and what the concrete is holding up. Matthew determined that the appropriate solution would be for foreman Juan H. to insert PolyLevel, which is a foam injection that is installed in a simple 4-steps. It lifts the concrete resulting in a safe and level surface.

Mallory C. no longer has to be concerned of the safety and security of her home now that she has had PolyLevel installed.

Walls stabilized in Taylorville, IL

Max W. of Taylorville, IL had bowing walls in his basement and connected garage. Large cracks had formed along the walls and the garage doors were sticking and hard to open. Max was afraid the walls might fail and he’d have an even bigger problem on his hands so he called Woods Basement Systems for a free assessment. Design Specialist Kevin E. inspected the inside and outside of the foundation and found the perfect solution.

Woods installed Geo-Lock Wall Anchors along the bowing walls. Geo-Lock Wall Anchors work by connecting a heavy duty steal earth plate that’s been embedded in the yard to an anchor rod that’s been driven through the basement wall and then connecting it to a steel wall plate on the wall. It is tightened to hold the wall firmly in place and permanently stabilize it. Geo-Lock Wall Anchors can also straighten bowing walls in most cases.

Max W. is happy that his foundation walls are permanently stable and he no longer has to worry about them collapsing.

A SaniDry was installed to filter moisture out of the air in the crawlspace. A SaniDry is a dehumidifier for the space and will help control the humidity. Controlling the humidity of the crawlspace will reduce energy bills and make the home more comfortable because the air that is moving into the home is more controlled.

To keep the basement dry, foreman Melvin F. installed WaterGuard. WaterGuard is a perimeter drainage system that guides water to the TripleSafe sump pump system. TripleSafe is equipped with three pumps to ensure the basement stays dry. In addition to the waterproofing system, Melvin and his team installed a radon mitigation system.

New Crawlspace in Taylorville, IL

Dan B. in Taylorvile, IL was experiencing a damp crawlspace. He knew that if the crawlspace did not dry out, it could soon start to rot the wood and grow mold. Dan called Woods Basement Systems to find a solution.

Woods came in and installed a drainage matting under CleanSpace. This drainage mat would help drain away any water that may get into the crawlspace. The CleanSpace was used to seal off the space to prevent moisture from getting into the space, helping to keep it dry.

A Twin Pack sump pump was installed to provide escape for any unwanted water in the space. Water that may still get into the space will be pumped out through a discharge line that leads the yard. If this line becomes frozen or backed up, IceGuard will prevent the water from receding back into the crawlspace.

CleanSpace Installation in Taylorville, IL

In Taylorville, IL, Bill H. was having moisture control issues in his crawlspace. Bill wanted to ensure his home would be safe from mold and rotting wood. Woods Basement Systems assured Bill they could fix the issue.

Woods installed a drainage mat and CleanSpace. The drainage mat would help drain away standing water and CleanSpace would seal the space and keep water from getting in. Woods also installed vent covers for additional sealing. These create an air tight seal preventing moisture from seeping through into the crawlspace.

Woods installed a sump pump that would help remove the water from the crawlspace. The sump pump will pump the water out of the crawlspace into the yard through a discharge line.
