Juan enjoys everything about working for the Woods Basement Systems team and appreciates making homeowners happy. Juan has been working with Woods Basement Systems, Inc. since November 2009 and has been thoroughly trained in Waterguard, working with crawl spaces, Anchors, and applying Piers. This Windsor, Illinois crawl space had issues with leaking and had water pooling in portions of the space, causing the homeowners to worry about mold growth and air quality issues. Woods Basement Systems installed several products to waterproof the space, including a CleanSpace encapsulation system. This century-old McLeansboro, Illinois home's basement was plagued with water leaks. The space would flood during heavy periods of rain, requiring regular, extensive cleanup. Kevin T. of Spaulding, IL had an uneven walkway and driveway. As can be seen in the picture, the concrete slabs in the walkway had sunken away from the step. The uneven areas posed tripping hazards so Kevin called Woods Basement Systems. Woods recommended PolyLevel.
Woods injected PolyLevel through small holes drilled in the concrete slabs. PolyLevel is a two-part foam that expands to fill any voids below the slabs and lift and level the slabs. It’s waterproof so it won’t wash away and it’s lightweight so it won’t add more weight to the soil below, making it a much more permanent concretely leveling solution than other methods like mudjacking. It also cures much quicker, causing less down time than traditional methods like mudjacking.

The liner material goes up the walls and across the floor to completely seal it away from the earth. The CleanSpace stops all the water vapor from the walls or soil from coming in.
