Juan enjoys everything about working for the Woods Basement Systems team and appreciates making homeowners happy. Woods Basement Systems installed 12 Foundation Supportworks Geo-Lock Wall Anchors to straighten and stabilize the retaining wall. The dock side of the wall was excavated first, and then supporting anchor rods were driven from the parking lot side of the wall, through the retaining wall, and beyond the active wedge. The crew dug holes in the dock lot, so earth anchors could be attached.
Then, wall anchor plates were installed on the face of the retaining wall and tightened to the anchor rods. After the wall was straightened, stabilized, and backfilled, the temporary supports were removed, and the lot was ready to be re-finished. Now, the loading dock and parking lot are fully operational.
