Show Me Green Sales Tax Holiday in Missouri Initiates on April 19
St. Louis, MO – Dr. Energy Saver® St. Louis is helping spread the word to local homeowners about what’s being tagged as the state’s Show Me Green Sales Tax Holiday that has commenced at 12:01 a.m. on April 19th and is scheduled to end at midnight on April 25th. This holiday exempts homeowners and businesses alike from the state sales tax normally applicable to qualifying retail items. Internet purchases also qualify!
According to the state government, the tax exemption is only applicable to $1,5000 on ENERGY STAR® certified new appliances, which can amount to a $60 savings. Each city and county is permitted to decide upon its participation, thus consumers are encouraged to consider the list of approved areas: Adair, Cass, Clay, Gasconade, Johnson, Macon, Moniteau, Nodaway, Platte, St. Genevieve, and Washington.
The following eight items, if labeled as an ENERGY STAR® product, can be bought without sales tax in participating areas during this holiday.
