This project involved structural and cosmetic repairs for a basement using specialized Woods Basement Systems solutions. The crew began by installing a compression guard in the concrete. This process required careful cutting of concrete, placing new joint material, and sealing with urethane as specified, with the understanding that future re-cutting of the guard may be necessary. Brace supports were then installed using 8-foot braces, with their final locations adjusted according to field conditions to ensure optimal support. A bridge bracket kit was mounted to each brace as added reinforcement.
Braces
If your basement walls are bowing, buckling, or tilting inward, installing a PowerBrace™ system can prevent further damage and may help straighten the walls.
Steel Beams
These zinc-coated steel I-beams are positioned vertically along weakened or bowing foundation walls and anchored to both the basement floor and joists above.
