For this job, our team worked on repairing this customer's crawlspace by stabilizing and lifting the foundation. To do this, we had to install our jack supports and supplemental beams to stabilize and lift sagging floor joists in basements, crawl spaces, or areas where weak soils or rotting columns have compromised the structure. A supplemental beam (often steel or engineered wood) is positioned under the crawl space's foundation, spanning beneath multiple floor joists and distributing loads to one or more jacks, increasing stability in areas of concern.
