Over the foundation walls, Woods installed CleanSpace vapor barrier. CleanSpace is a thick and durable plastic liner that prevents moisture from entering the basement through the basement walls, instead directing it down to the perimeter drainage system. The WaterGuard drainage system was installed under the cement floors along the perimeter of the basement. WaterGuard is situated on top of the concrete footing to keep it mud-free as it collected water from the foundation walls and floors and drains it to the sump pump.

The TripleSafe was installed to take the water collected by the WaterGuard and eject it safely out of the basement through its discharge lines. The TripleSafe contains two powerful cast-iron pumps and a battery back up pump to protect the basement from severe weather and power outages.

IceGuards were installed on the discharge lines on the exterior of the home. IceGuards feature slotted openings to prevent water from getting back into the basement if the lines become frozen. They give the water an alternative escape route into the yard.

Woods replaced the store-bought dehumidifier with the SaniDry. The SaniDry dehumidifier is as energy efficient as the smaller unit but it is much more powerful.
