Chad and Amy C. of Neoga, IL had cracks along their foundation walls. The cracks would leak, staining the walls and damaging the wood framing that was along the walls. They’d tried patching the cracks before but more cracks would form so they called Woods Basement Systems. Design Specialist Kevin E. inspected the foundation walls and recommended a wall support system.
Along the cracked walls, Woods installed Geo-Lock Wall Anchors. Geo-Lock Wall Anchors counteract external pressure on the walls by driving galvanized steel anchor rods through the walls and connecting them to earth anchors embedded in stable soil in the yard. Wall plates are connected to the rods on the inside of the walls and the rods are tightened to permanently stabilize the walls in place.
In areas where the yard was inaccessible, PowerBraces were installed. PowerBraces are steel beams that are fitted against the walls and held firmly in place by steel brackets attached to the concrete floors and floor joists above. They are adjustable so they offer the opportunity to improve the walls over time by tightening them during dry periods.
Over the stained, cracked walls, Woods installed CleanSpace. CleanSpace is a durable, thick plastic vapor barrier that prevents moisture from entering the basement and directs it to the drainage system. WaterGuard was installed under the concrete floors, along the wall. It’s a drainage system that will remain free from mud as it drains away water collected from the foundation walls and floors to the sump pump that Chad and Amy already had in place.
Chad and Amy C. have peace of mind that there walls are safe and secure and won’t be damaged any further.
Michael S.'s home in Lebanon, Illinois was experiencing a bowing wall in the basement. To prevent further damage and try to straighten the wall, Michael called Woods Basement Systems.
Design specialist Joshua L. reassured Michael that the problem would be taken care of. Soon after speaking, foreman Bradly P. headed over to the home. Six Geo-Lock wall anchors were installed in the home. A small hole is drilled in the wall of the basement and a steel rod is put through the hole. The rod connects a wall plate on the inside of the home and an anchor on the exterior of the home. This system will stabilize the wall and, in time, will straighten the wall to its original position.
Michael S. now has a secure wall. He no longer has to worry about the bowing getting any worse.
Robert B. of Greenup, Illinois noticed that water was collecting in his home's crawl space. Standing water could cause mold growth and rotting, so he called Woods Basement Systems.
Design specialist Gregory B. assured Robert B. that the problem would be solved. Foreman Michael P. then headed over to the home. A SmartSump, which is a sump pump made specifically for crawl spaces, was installed. This sump pump collects water and sends it outside the crawl space through exterior discharge lines. A SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier was also installed. The dehumidifier not only collects water vapor from the air, but also filters any mold spores, dust, or other allergen. A CleanSpace Encapsulation System is made of a heavy duty material and is used to seal the crawl space from the soil. It also prevents water vapor from coming inside the crawl space. Finally, SilverGlo Insulated Panels were installed on the walls of the crawl space. SilverGlo is a foam insulation that is infused by graphite. It both insulates and provides a vapor barrier for the crawl space.
Robert B. now has a fully waterproofed crawl space. He no longer has to worry about any standing water or water vapor getting in his crawl space and causing problems.
Joshua K. of Webster Groves, Missouri discovered that his home's basement was holding water after heavy rain showers. He did not want to have to deal with this problem constantly, so he called Woods Basement Systems.
Design specialist Ryan K. assessed the situation and came up with the perfect solution. Foreman Melvin F. traveled to the home to install a TripleSafe sump pump, a CleanSpace Wall System, and a Waterguard drainage system.
The Waterguard drainage system was placed above the footing of the basement. It collects and drains any water coming up from the ground before it reaches the basement surface. The TripleSafe sump pump has a primary, secondary, and battery powered pump that ensures a dry basement no matter what. The sump pump moves water outside of the home through a discharge line. Finally, the CleanSpace Wall System is a heavy duty liner that was placed on the walls of the basement. It prevents water vapor from entering the basement and drains any leaks behind it to the sump pump.
Joshua K. no longer has to worry about a wet or leaking basement. His home is now dry and waterproof.
Shawna S. of Greenup, Illinois noticed that water was leaking inside her home's crawl space through the door. She did not want to have to deal with the possiblility of rotting or mold growth because of standing water in her crawl space, so she called Woods Basement Systems.
Design specialist Gregory B. assessed the situation and came up with the perfect solution. Foreman Joshua B. then headed to the home to install a EverLast Access Well and a EverLast door.
The EverLast Access Well and EverLast door work together to ensure that no water gets inside the crawl space. The EverLast Access Well is dug into the ground and around the entrance of the crawl space. It prevents water from running into the door of the crawl space. The EverLast door makes an air tight seal. No water or moisture is able to get into the crawl space after installation.
Shawna S. no longer has to worry about water leaking into her home's crawl space. She now has a dry and water-free crawl space.

Becky, an Urbana, Illinois homeowner, noticed horizontal cracks through the walls in her basement. She gave Woods Basement Systems a call and System Design Specialist Greg B. determined the solution for her bowing walls.
Foreman Kevin J. and his crew installed Geo-Lock Wall Anchors on the walls with problems. The Geo-Lock Wall Anchor system is the perfect solution for bowing walls because it uses the Earth to pull the walls back to their original position. The resistance is achieved when the steel rod is drilled through the wall past the active soil line. The rod is then anchored into a steel plate buried in the yard. An interior steel plate disperses the pressure over a larger area of the wall.
Overtime the interior plates are tightened and the wall can return to its original position, closing cracks and creating a drier and safer basement.
Becky can now enjoy her basement knowing it will remain safe for decades to come.
Greenup, Illinois homeowner Pam needed her dirt crawl space taken care of. She gave Woods Basement Systems a call and System Design Specialist Luke B. developed a plan for her.
Foreman Josh and his crew installed CleanSpace with drainage matting, SaniDry Sedona, SmartSump sump pump and IceGuard for Pam.
CleanSpace seals the crawl space from the dirt and porous walls. The drainage matting leads any water vapor to the sump pump to be removed from the area. The SmartSump will remove any water from the crawl space and a safe distance away from the home. By adding IceGuard to the discharge line, there is a way for water to still exit the home when the line freezes or gets clogged.
Pam can now use her crawl space and is now longer afraid of what might be down there and getting into her home.
