Megan H. of Gibson City, Illinois was troubled by her bowing foundation walls. As the walls bowed under pressure they began to crack and compromise the integrity of the foundation. System design specialist Kevin E. designed a solution.
PowerBrace and Geo-Lock was installed by foreman Todd W. PowerBrace and Geo-Lock both restore the walls to their original foundation and provide support to the foundation. PowerBrace is used when Geo-Lock cannot be installed. Geo-Lock is driven into undisturbed soil to support the foundation.
Phil and Jean N. of Gibson City, IL had water leaking into their basement making it damp and humid. The climate of the basement made it impossible to store things in or use as a living space. Woods Basement Systems was able to provide products to evacuate the water out of the basement.
Woods installed WaterGuard to help drain water out of the basement. WaterGuard is installed against the wall in the concrete of the floor. The water will flow into the WaterGuard, allowing the piping to lead the water out of the basement.
A SaniDry was installed to filter moisture out of the air in the basement. A SaniDry is a dehumidifier for the space and will help control the humidity. Controlling the humidity of the basement will reduce energy bills and make the basement more comfortable because the air that is moving throughout the space is more controlled.
A Twin Pack sump pump was installed to evacuate unwanted water. The sump pump will pump the water out through a discharge line that leads the water to the yard. This line can become clogged or frozen at times, in order to prevent the water from receding back into the basement, Woods installed IceGuard. IceGuard is installed on the discharge line next to the house and allows water to escape through it when it is necessary.
Guy R. of Edwardsville, IL had severely bowing foundation walls in his basement. Long stair step and vertical cracks had formed along the bowing walls from the pressure. Guy was worried that his walls might collapse if he did nothing about them so he called Woods Basement Systems. Design Specialist Jake Kline assessed his walls and found that the best solution for Guy’s problem would be PowerBraces.
Woods installed the PowerBraces along the bowing walls in the basement. PowerBraces are heavy-duty steal beams that are secured against the wall using steal brackets attached to the floor joists and concrete floors of the basement. The walls are stabilized and will not move any further in the future. They are also adjustable which gives the homeowner the opportunity to straighten the walls by tightening the PowerBraces during dry months. PowerBraces are also corrosion zinc-coated so they are protected from corrosion.
Guy R. has peace of mind knowing that his walls are stabilized and he doesn’t have to worry about his walls failing.
Edward G was concerned when he noticed that the floors throughout his house were beginning to sink, so he decided to call Woods Basement Systems. System Design Specialist Brandon B was able to come up with a solution to the problem.

A flooded basement is not a good thing to see when you walk downstairs. That’s why Tyler H called Woods Basement Systems. One of our System Design Specialists recommended several products that would prevent future flooding.
The first product installed was a TripleSafe sump pump. Unlike ordinary pumps, the TripleSafe has three pumps inside it. The first is a normal pump to remove water. The second pump is stronger and will kick in if there is too much water flowing in. The third pump is battery operated and will turn on if the power goes out. The second product installed was a WaterGuard. This will line the basement walls and drain away any excess water to an area away from the house.

Push Piers are the perfect solution to raise sinking foundations because they transfer the weight of the structure from the home to a steel rod resting on the bedrock, preventing future settling and often returning the home to the original position.
Dotty now has a stable home and can repair the crack knowing it won't return.
Belleville, IL homeowner Ben was worried about how the settling foundation on his old home was changing its structure. He gave Woods Basement Systems a call and System Design Specialist Luke K. developed a plan for him.

We take the pressure of the structure from the moving soil to the steel Push Piers. They transfer the weight to the solid bedrock beneath. It prevents further settling and in many cases can return the home to its original structure.
Ben now has a solid home that will have the support it needs for decades to come.
