Effective Concrete Leveling & Concrete Sealing

The major flaw of concrete is that the ground that it was poured on top of will inevitably shift and sink over time. In the states of Illinois and Missouri sinking concrete is all too common which is why our company has gone to great lengths to develop fast and effective concrete lifting and leveling solutions. PolyLevel is a revolutionary product that is minimally invasive and not only lifts and levels concrete but also stabilizes it.

How PolyLevel works:

  1. The concrete lifting and leveling process begins with a few small holes drilled in the slab.
  2. Then the PolyLevel polymer is injected into the holes and expands to provide an accurate lift.
  3. After only about 15 minutes the polymer is dry and the concrete is ready to be walked and even driven on.

This concrete lifting and leveling technique is faster, less disruptive, and arguably more effective than mud jacking, which is the standard that PolyLevel replaces. We even offer SealantPro concrete sealing, which extends slabs' lifespans by 3 to 5 times overall in just one quick application. This concrete sealing system is resistant to moisture, oil, UV rays, abrasions, and more.

To remove tripping hazards, stabilize concrete, and lift it back to a level height nothing is faster or more effective than PolyLevel concrete leveling. After, our concrete sealing system will preserve your slabs for a lifetime. To schedule a FREE concrete lifting and leveling or concrete sealing estimate, contact us today!

We can Fix:
  • Sunken sidewalks
  • Sagging steps
  • Uneven patios
  • Sinking driveways

Roodhouse, Illinois Foundation Supported by Geo-Lock Wall Anchors

Tom D., Roodhouse, Illinois homeowner, was troubled by his bowing foundation walls. As the walls bowed under pressure, they began to crack and risk the integrity of the foundation. Josh L., system design specialist, designed a solution to restore the foundation.

WaterGuard Installed in Roodhouse, IL

Christine B. of Roodhouse, IL had water leaking into her basement. The water made the space unusable for storage and Christine wanted to change that. Woods Basement Systems had the perfect products to do so.

Woods installed WaterGuard to help drain unwanted water out of the basement. WaterGuard is installed in the cement of the flooring against the walls. This allows water to enter the piping and be drained to prevent damages to the home and personal belongings.

A TripleSafe sump pump was installed to evacuate unwanted water. The sump pump will pump the water out through a discharge line that leads the water to the yard. This line can become clogged or frozen at times, in order to prevent the water from receding back into the basement, Woods installed IceGuard. IceGuard is installed on the discharge line next to the house and allows water to escape through it when it is necessary.

Wall Anchors Installed in Roodhouse, IL

Finished Basement Waterproofed in Greenville, IL

The finished basement of Kurt B.’s Greenville, IL home was being ruined by unwanted water coming in each time it rained. His carpet had been stained and water damaged and he was worried that he might have even bigger problems on his hands if he didn’t get the water problem taken care of so he called Woods Basement Systems for a free, no obligation estimate. Design Specialist Dave P. inspected the basement and found the perfect solution would be to install a waterproofing system.

Woods installed WaterGuard under the concrete floors along the perimeter of the basement. WaterGuard is a drainage system that sits on top of the concrete footing of the basement so it will remain free of mud while it drains away any water from the foundation walls and floors to the sump pump.

The TripleSafe Sump Pump System was installed to collect the water from the WaterGuard. The TripleSafe contains two powerful, cast-iron pumps and a battery back up pump to keep pumping water out of the basement through its discharge lines, even if weather is severe or there’s a power outage. On the exterior of the home, IceGuards were installed on the discharge lines. They have slotted openings that allow water to escape and not come back into the basement if the discharge lines have become frozen during winter months.

Kurt B. has peace of mind that his finished basement won’t get damaged by water again and he can safely store his belongings.

If any water enters the sump pump from above the drainage system, the WaterWatch™ alarm will make sure Wayne and Kathy know about it.

Water Leaking Through Concrete Walls

Water can often leak through tiny gaps in the concrete in foundation walls or floors. This water might leak down onto the floor if the leak is steady enough, or it might evaporate into the air. As the water leaks through the wall, it brings with it minerals from the soil outside or from the concrete itself. When the water evaporates it leaves these minerals behind in the form of chalky powder and discoloration called efflorescence.

While the powder and discoloration can be easily cleaned, it is a sign that water is leaking through the walls and evaporating into the home. In this home in Rockbridge, IL. a Sedona dehumidifier was installed to deal with the extra moisture in the air coming from evaporating water on the walls. The Sedona will dry the air and filter out things like mold spores at the same time.

If there are signs that water is leaking through your foundation walls, don't wait for it to dampen your basement. Call Woods Basement Systems to learn about ways to protect your basement.
