The major flaw of concrete is that the ground that it was poured on top of will inevitably shift and sink over time. In the states of Illinois and Missouri sinking concrete is all too common which is why our company has gone to great lengths to develop fast and effective concrete lifting and leveling solutions. PolyLevel is a revolutionary product that is minimally invasive and not only lifts and levels concrete but also stabilizes it. The concrete lifting and leveling process begins with a few small holes drilled in the slab, then the PolyLevel polymer is poured into the holes. After only about 15 minutes the polymer is dry and the concrete is ready to be walked and even driven on. This concrete lifting and leveling technique is faster, less disruptive and arguably more effective than mud jacking which is the procedure PolyLevel replaces. To removed tripping hazards, stabilize concrete, and lift it back to a level height nothing is faster or more effective than PolyLevel. System design specialist, Luke K., met with Glen to discuss possible ways to protect his basement. Luke gave the recommendation of installing a drainage system along with a sump pump.
To keep a basement safe and dry, a drainage system is needed to collect water leaks while the sump pump will pump these leaks back outside. By installing these two products, the basement will be able to protect itself against harm water damage. WaterGuard drains are the top of the line waterproofing drains that are installed in the footing of the basement, this way they won't clog. During heavy periods of rain, water would come out from behind the drywall and pool on the wood floor. Because Brittni neglected to waterproof BEFORE finishing, a Woods Basement Systems team led by foreman Greg first had to cut away sections of the drywall and rip up some of the wood flooring to gain access to the foundation before any work could be started. Once this was done, the waterproofing work was started by installing an under-floor WaterGuard drainage system at the base of the leaking walls to catch any and all water. After this, a CleanSpace vapor barrier was put in place to cover the foundation walls and trap moisture. Finally, a TripleSafe sump pump was installed to remove any water from the home. PowerBraces won’t rust as they permanently stabilize the walls in place and prevent further damage. They also offer the opportunity to improve walls by tightening them during dry months.

Design Specialist Kevin E. inspected the foundation walls as well as the rest of the basement and recommended installed a wall support system alongside a waterproofing system.
Woods installed Geo-Lock Wall Anchors along the cracked foundation walls. Geo-Lock Wall Anchors counteract exterior pressure from unstable soil conditions. Earth anchors are embedded in the yard and attached to wall plates on the inside of the walls with galvanized steel anchor rods. They permanently stabilize walls in place and prevent future damage.
CleanSpace was installed over the foundation walls. CleanSpace is a 20 mil thick, durable plastic moisture barrier that prevents water from entering the basement through the foundation walls, instead directing it down to the drainage system.
The WaterGuard drainage system was installed under the cement floors along the perimeter of the basement. It’s situated on top of the concrete footing to keep it mud-free as it collects water from the foundation walls and floors and drains it to the sump pump.
Woods installed the TripleSafe to accept the water from the WaterGuard and pump it out of the basement through its discharge lines. The TripleSafe contains a primary, a secondary and battery back up pump to ensure that the basement is protected from water, even when weather is severe or there is a power outage.
Woods installed IceGuards on the discharge lines on the exterior of the home to prevent water from getting back into the basement if the discharge lines become frozen or clogged by snow during winter months.
