Fast and Effective Concrete Lifting and Leveling

The major flaw of concrete is that the ground that it was poured on top of will inevitably shift and sink over time. In the states of Illinois and Missouri sinking concrete is all too common which is why our company has gone to great lengths to develop fast and effective concrete lifting and leveling solutions. PolyLevel is a revolutionary product that is minimally invasive and not only lifts and levels concrete but also stabilizes it.

How PolyLevel works:

  1. The concrete lifting and leveling process begins with a few small holes drilled in the slab.
  2. Then the PolyLevel polymer is injected into the holes and expands to provide an accurate lift.
  3. After only about 15 minutes the polymer is dry and the concrete is ready to be walked and even driven on.

This concrete lifting and leveling technique is faster, less disruptive, and arguably more effective than mud jacking, which is the standard that PolyLevel replaces. We even offer SealantPro concrete sealing, which extends slabs' lifespans by 3 to 5 times overall in just one quick application. This concrete sealing system is resistant to moisture, oil, UV rays, abrasions, and more.

To remove tripping hazards, stabilize concrete, and lift it back to a level height nothing is faster or more effective than PolyLevel concrete leveling. After, our concrete sealing system will preserve your slabs for a lifetime. To schedule a FREE concrete lifting and leveling or concrete sealing estimate, contact us today!

We can Fix:
  • Sunken sidewalks
  • Sagging steps
  • Uneven patios
  • Sinking driveways

Leaking Finished Basement Fitted With CleanSpace And WaterGuard In Mt. Vernon, IL

Mount Vernon, Illinois homeowner Brittni had only recently finished her basement when she began to notice moisture issues. During heavy periods of rain, water would come out from behind the drywall and pool on the wood floor. This water had already badly damaged furniture and parts of the drywall, and Brittni was eager to have the problem taken care of.

Because Brittni neglected to waterproof BEFORE finishing, a Woods Basement Systems team led by foreman Greg first had to cut away sections of the drywall and rip up some of the wood flooring to gain access to the foundation before any work could be started. Once this was done, the waterproofing work was started by installing an under-floor WaterGuard drainage system at the base of the leaking walls to catch any and all water. After this, a CleanSpace vapor barrier was put in place to cover the foundation walls and trap moisture. Finally, a TripleSafe sump pump was installed to remove any water from the home. Brittni's basement is now totally dry.

WaterGuard stops water from reaching the surface and pushes it through Triple Safe sump pump. Meanwhile, IceGuard stops water from freezing and getting stuck, which could lead to further problems during the winter months when freezing is a possibility.

Since the installation the installation of these three products in their basement, Linus and Wendy know that their basement will stay dry during the next heavy rainfall.

Walls Stabilized with PowerBraces in Mount Vernon, IL

The home Keith and Michelle S had recently bought in Mount Vernon, IL had foundation walls with major issues. They were severely bowing inward and had numerous large cracks and separations spanning each wall. The extensive damage had them worried that the walls would soon collapse so they called Woods Basement systems to see what could be done. Design Specialist Jake K. thoroughly inspected the foundation walls and recommended installing PowerBraces.

Woods installed the PowerBraces along the cracked, bowing walls. PowerBraces are adjustable, zinc-plated steel beams that are custom fit to the height of the basement and held firmly in place against the walls using steel brackets attached the concrete floors and floor joists above. PowerBraces won’t rust as they permanently stabilize the walls in place and prevent further damage. They also offer the opportunity to improve walls by tightening them during dry months.

Keith and Michelle S. no longer have to worry about the safety of their new home’s foundation walls because they are safe and secure.

Foundation Walls Stabilized and Basement Waterproofed in Mount Vernon, IL

Murali K. of Mount Vernon, IL had an alarming amount of water getting into his finished basement. After removing some dry wall he found that he had cracks in his foundation behind his finished walls. The cracks, as well as the joints between the foundation walls and floors, were allowing water to leak in which rotted the dry wall and wood framing as well as soaked the carpet. Murali was worried about the safety of his foundation and didn’t want to deal with any more water damage so he called Woods Basement Systems. Design Specialist Kevin E. inspected the foundation walls as well as the rest of the basement and recommended installed a wall support system alongside a waterproofing system.

Woods installed Geo-Lock Wall Anchors along the cracked foundation walls. Geo-Lock Wall Anchors counteract exterior pressure from unstable soil conditions. Earth anchors are embedded in the yard and attached to wall plates on the inside of the walls with galvanized steel anchor rods. They permanently stabilize walls in place and prevent future damage.

CleanSpace was installed over the foundation walls. CleanSpace is a 20 mil thick, durable plastic moisture barrier that prevents water from entering the basement through the foundation walls, instead directing it down to the drainage system.

The WaterGuard drainage system was installed under the cement floors along the perimeter of the basement. It’s situated on top of the concrete footing to keep it mud-free as it collects water from the foundation walls and floors and drains it to the sump pump.

Woods installed the TripleSafe to accept the water from the WaterGuard and pump it out of the basement through its discharge lines. The TripleSafe contains a primary, a secondary and battery back up pump to ensure that the basement is protected from water, even when weather is severe or there is a power outage.

Woods installed IceGuards on the discharge lines on the exterior of the home to prevent water from getting back into the basement if the discharge lines become frozen or clogged by snow during winter months. IceGuards feature slotted openings that give water an alternative escape route into the yard.

Murali K. has peace of mind now because his foundation walls are stable and secure and his finished basement will remain dry.

A resident of Mount Vernon, IL called Woods Basement Systems to clean up his crawl space and eliminate humidity, odors, and mold.  He had been living in his house for 6 years and was aware of the problem since he first moved in.  He finally decided to do something about it when 4 inches of standing water accumulated in his crawl space.  Some of the wood had begun to rot, and this was a big concern of the resident.

Woods installed a CleanSpace Encapsulation System, including CleanSpace liner and a SaniDry CX.  The clean white material covered the floor and walls of the crawl space, making it a nice dry storage space for the resident.  The SaniDry CX acted as an air filter and dehumidifier, resulting in dry clean air in the crawl space.

The resident was extremely pleased with the installation and how much of a difference it made in his crawl space.  Now he no longer had to worry about rotting wood and other issues that could lead to major problems in his crawl space.

WaterGuard Saves Wet Basement

A Carmi, IL resident was tired of dealing with a wet basement every time it rained for the past 22 years.  The water would come in through cracks in the walls and at the floor joints during heavy rains.  She was concerned about the possibility of mold and wanted a dry basement that she could use for storage.

Woods Basement Systems installed WaterGuard, IceGuard, and TrenchDrain in order to collect all of the water and lead it out and away from the house.  The resident was very pleased with the work that was done by Woods and said they were the most professional crew she has ever worked with.
