WaterGuard is a drainage system that is installed under the floors of the basement, on top of the concrete footing of the home, so it is situated away from any mud that may clog it while it collects water coming in through the foundation walls and wall joints and drains it away to the sump pump for removal.
The Twin Pack Sump System was installed. It contains two powerful, cast-iron pumps that will ensure that no matter how bad the weather gets, water will remain pumping out of the basement through the discharge lines. Larry also opted to add the UltraSump battery back up pump. The UltraSump adds even more protection because it is battery operated and will come on immediately if the power goes out. It can removed up to 11,000 gallons on a fully charged battery and will charge itself when the power comes back on.
On the exterior of the home, IceGuards were installed on the discharge lines. IceGuard have slotted openings that allow water to escape if the discharge lines become frozen or clogged, preventing it from coming back into the basement.
