Effective Concrete Leveling & Concrete Sealing

The major flaw of concrete is that the ground that it was poured on top of will inevitably shift and sink over time. In the states of Illinois and Missouri sinking concrete is all too common which is why our company has gone to great lengths to develop fast and effective concrete lifting and leveling solutions. PolyLevel is a revolutionary product that is minimally invasive and not only lifts and levels concrete but also stabilizes it.

How PolyLevel works:

  1. The concrete lifting and leveling process begins with a few small holes drilled in the slab.
  2. Then the PolyLevel polymer is injected into the holes and expands to provide an accurate lift.
  3. After only about 15 minutes the polymer is dry and the concrete is ready to be walked and even driven on.

This concrete lifting and leveling technique is faster, less disruptive, and arguably more effective than mud jacking, which is the standard that PolyLevel replaces. We even offer SealantPro concrete sealing, which extends slabs' lifespans by 3 to 5 times overall in just one quick application. This concrete sealing system is resistant to moisture, oil, UV rays, abrasions, and more.

To remove tripping hazards, stabilize concrete, and lift it back to a level height nothing is faster or more effective than PolyLevel concrete leveling. After, our concrete sealing system will preserve your slabs for a lifetime. To schedule a FREE concrete lifting and leveling or concrete sealing estimate, contact us today!

We can Fix:
  • Sunken sidewalks
  • Sagging steps
  • Uneven patios
  • Sinking driveways

Push Piers, Geo-Lock Wall Anchors and SmartJacks Installed in Monticello, IL

Melanie R. of Monticello, IL had a basement that had multiple issues with its foundation. The foundation walls were cracked and tilting. There were cracks along the foundation floors, a sign that the foundation was settling. The floors above had become uneven and sagged because the cement columns below that supported them were settling and pulling away with the foundation. Melanie R. was worried about the safety of her home so she called Woods Basement Systems. Design Specialist Kevin E. inspected the basement and recommended installing a foundation and floor support system.

Woods installed Push Piers along the concrete footing of the home. Push piers are high-strength steel pier sections that are hydraulically driven into the earth under the home into stable soil conditions or bedrock and then attached to the footing of the home using heavy-duty steel brackets. They transfer the homes weight to the more stable, load bearing earth below to halt further settling and lift the home back to level in most cases.

Along the cracked foundation walls, Woods installed Geo-Lock Wall Anchors. Earth anchors embedded in more stable soil condition in the yard are connected to steel wall plates in the inside of the walls with anchor rods. They counteract external soil pressure on the walls, permanently stabilizing them and preventing future damage.

Supplemental steel beams were installed along the sagging floor beam for additional support. SmartJacks were installed along the floor beam. SmartJacks are adjustable steel columns held firmly in place in a concrete footing. They lift and stabilize floors and because they’re adjustable, they offer the best opportunity to returns floors to their original, level position.

Melanie R. is relieved that she no longer has to worry about the safety of her home because her foundation is secure and her floors are supported and stable.
