Barbie and Don L. of Robinson, IL kept getting water in their basement. They had a sump pump but it was no longer working so they called Woods Basement Systems. Woods recommended a basement waterproofing system.

As part of the waterproofing system installed, Woods replaced the old sump pump with the TripleSafe. Unlike the old sump pump lid that had a hole in it, as shown in the picture, the TripleSafe has an airtight lid that won’t allow water in the pit to evaporate and raise the humidity in the basement. It contains three powerful pumps, including a batter back up pump, to ensure water is always being pumped out of the basement, even in the worst weather conditions or power outages.

Job Stories From Robinson, IL
Basement Waterproofed in Robinson, IL

Every time it rained, water would leak into the basement of Barbie and Don. L’s Robinson, IL home. Their belongings were being damaged by the water. They had a sump pump but it was no longer working so they called Woods Basement Systems. Design Specialist Kevin E. assessed the basement and found the best solution would be a waterproofing system.

Woods installed WaterGuard along the perimeter of the basement, under the concrete floors. WaterGuard is a drainage system that sits on top of the concrete footing of the home so it won’t become clogged with mud. It collects water from the foundation walls and floors of the basement and drains it to the sump pump.

Woods replaced the old sump pump with the TripleSafe. The TripleSafe contains a primary, secondary and back up battery pump to ensure encroaching water will be pumped out and away from the basement through the discharge lines, even in severe weather or power outages. IceGuards were installed on the discharge lines on the exterior of the home. IceGuards have slotted openings for water to escape if the lines become frozen or clogged so water won’t get back into the basement.

Barbie and Don L. have peace of mind that the belongings they store in their basement will be safe from water damage and their basement will stay dry.

Wall Anchors in Robinson, IL

Randy and Harry S. of Robinson, IL had cracks in their basement that were pointing to a failing foundation. Woods Basement Systems had the perfect product to ensure the home stayed stable.

Woods installed GeoLock wall anchors to provide support for the home. These anchors are attached to the wall and is anchored to the yard outside. This is done by using poles to extend past the active zone in the yard. This will support the foundation of the home for the life of the structure so the homeowners will never have to worry about a failing foundation.

Home has Crawlspace Redone in Robinson, IL

Ronald W. had a crawlspace that was retaining water in Robinson, IL. Ronald was worried about the safety of his home, knowing this water would cause mold and rotting wood. Woods Basement Systems came in to install products to keep water out of the space.

Woods installed CleanSpace with a drainage mat under it. This would keep water out of the space and drain away the water that got into the space. The CleanSpace seals off the space, which would prevent mold and rotting wood from forming.

Woods also installed a vent cover to provide additional sealing of the crawlspace. The vent cover sealed off the vents completely and do not allow any water to get in through the vents.

Finally, Woods installed a sump pump that would pump out any water that would get into the area. The sump pump will pump out the water the a discharge line. This discharge line leads to the yard and can sometimes get clogged or frozen. To prevent this from backing up into the crawlspace, IceGuard was installed. IceGuard allows the water to have an escape route and to further prevent water from getting into the crawlspace.

Frozen Sump Pump Discharge Lines in Grover, MO

When Grover, MO resident, Jeff D. realized his sump pump was not working correctly, he did not hesitate to call in professionals.  After coming across Woods Basement Systems in his research, he scheduled an appointment for a free estimate.  Brian Cox arrived at Brian’s home on February 7, 2013.

After Brian’s systematic diagnoses, he told Jeff that his sump pump could not keep up with the freezing temperatures due to the discharge line freezing.  In one of the coldest months of the year, Jeff was not sure that there was a way to prevent this problem.  Then, Brian informed the homeowner on the innovative IceGuard Sump Pump Discharge Line System.  This system includes a certified sump pump by the nationwide Basement Systems Network as well as the Basement Systems IceGuard anti-freeze device.  Jeff was enthused that Woods Basement Systems had access to these advanced products & information.  He scheduled the installation for the following week.

On February 19th, Mr. Robinson and his crew completed the entire project in one day. Brian now has a new sump pump that collaborates with the anti-freeze device. His basement will no longer flood when the discharge lines freeze in brutal temperatures.

Well, first things first is that I have zero vapor barrier in my crawlspace. My ductwork runs along the ground in the crawl space also which is why I have never put down anything. I'm also afraid that I might have a mold problem. I'm not sure but I've had some small health issues for the last few months that could be mold related.

The basement gets periodically wet. I have rerouted my downspouts in an effort to reduce water that can get in to the house, but am now interested in better handling of the water that makes it into the basement (it comes in and goes across the floor -- the sump pump keeps up, but it's still annoying and leaves a damp floor behind. Also, I am interested in looking at your non-organic floor coverings to better finish the basement (currently concrete).
