This week, Christi W. had Woods Basement Systems come out and waterproof her basement which had the problem with water coming through the walls and under the floor and migrating to the low pockets of her foundation floor. She called Woods and addressed her concerns for what she wanted to do and what questions we could answer. In order to address her issues, Woods sent out a specialist to inspect her basement and give his professional opinion. Christi went ahead and purchased the BrightWall covering system as well as the WaterGuard drainage system with an inspection port. The WaterGuard system would drain any water coming from the walls as well as under the foundation and send it straight to her sump pump. This would then be directed outside of the home. The BrightWall would cover up the walls to both brighten the entire basement and keep the water behind it, leading it to the WaterGuard System.
The WaterGuard was place into a trench along the footing of the wall. This prevents any kind of clogging that could arise later on down the road. Once the WaterGuard is in place and ready to go, concrete is then placed on top to seal it up under the floor and make the trench flat. BrightWall is rolled out and placed on the walls to hide any of the water stains that have been there as well as lead any water to the drainage system. The BrightWall will also brighten the entire basement. With everything working properly and water being redirected to go to the sump pump instead of on the floor; Chrisi is very happy and looking forward to storing her stuff in her basement once more. If you know anymore or are looking to have your basement inspected, give us a call for an inspection here at Woods Basement System located in Collinsville, IL.
Woods Basement Systems was contacted by Mary M. in Park Hills, MO to install a TripleSafe Sump Pump in her home. To help protect her basement from water damage, pumps one and two of TripleSafe work together to expel more water. Pump three is a battery backup and will turn on in times of power outages. All three of these pumps will work together to ensure Mary has a dry basement.
A home in Farmington, MO had cracks around a doorway and around the foundation, which resulted by the support beam in the crawlspace, causing the home to put more pressure on the foundation. We instead our SmartJack XT, in which we installed a metal support beam, held up by metal tubes placed in the ground, holding up the beam. To ensure this home would be safe from future damage, we installed tubes to hold up the existing beam. Now, this homeowner can be sure the support will not fail the home again.
Ben and Erin K. discovered mold in their wet crawl space. Mold can lead to damage and cause health problems. To keep their home safe and free of mold, system design specialist Brandon B. designed a solution.

Bonne Terre, Missouri homeowner Will M. was concerned about the water leaking into his basement. The water seepage caused mold and risked damage to his valuables.
Thomas W., system design specialist, designed a solution to waterproof Will's basement. WaterGuard, a perimeter drainage system, was installed by foreman Mason S. WaterGuard guides water to the TripleSafe sump pump system. IceGuard was also installed to provide an alternative exit in the even that the discharge lines would become frozen.
Will's basement is now dry and free of mold. He can enjoy his basement without worrying about water leaks.
Linda W. of Farmington, Missouri was distraught by her sagging floors. As her soil began to settle, the foundation settled with it and began to sag. System design specialist Paul B. designed a solution to keep her foundation supported.
Foreman Josh B. and his team installed SmartJack. SmartJack is a support system made of galvanized steel. SmartJack lifts the foundation to its original position and can be adjusted over time as needed.
Linda is thrilled to know she know longer has to worry about her foundation collapsing.
Kieth S. of Farimington, MO had flooding issues in his basement when experiencing heavy rains. Kieth was worried about the damages this could cause his home and belongings, so he called Woods Basement Systems. Woods was able to provide products to drain off any unwanted water.
Woods installed WaterGuard to help drain water out of the basement. WaterGuard is installed against the wall in the concrete of the floor. The water will flow into the WaterGuard, allowing the piping to lead the water out of the basement.
A Twin Pack sump pump was installed to evacuate unwanted water. The sump pump will pump the water out through a discharge line that leads the water to the yard. This line can become clogged or frozen at times, in order to prevent the water from receding back into the basement, Woods installed IceGuard. IceGuard is installed on the discharge line next to the house and allows water to escape through it when it is necessary.
A local business in Farmington, IL had a leaky crawlspace that was allowing water to stand. The business knew that this water could cause mold and rotting wood, creating an unsafe environment. Woods Basement Systems was able to give the business an effective solution to ensure the business was safe.
CleanSpace was installed to help seal off the crawlspace. This seal will prevent outside water from seeping into the space and making it damp. If your crawlspace stays dry, there will be a reduced chance of mold and rotting wood.
Woods also installed a SaniDry. The SaniDry system filters moisture out of the air and makes the crawlspace less humid. Controlling the humidity in the crawlspace is important to preventing mold. The less moisture, the harder it is for the mold to grow.
A sump pump was installed to provide escape for any unwanted water in the space. Water that may still get into the space will be pumped out through a discharge line that leads to the yard. If this line becomes frozen or backed up, IceGuard will prevent the water from receding back into the crawlspace.

Linda and Peter G. had major water issues in the partially finished basement of their Gifford, IL home. The belongings they stored in their basement were repeatedly getting water damage whenever it rained. They’d had a sump pump installed by a different company but it wasn’t working and they still had to clean up their basement when bad weather hit so they called Woods Basement Systems. Design Specialist Greg B. inspected their basement and recommended installing a waterproofing system.
WaterGuard was installed along the perimeter of the basement, under the the concrete floors. WaterGuard is a drainage system that collects water from the foundation walls and floors and drains it away to the sump pump.
The TripleSafe sump pump system was installed. It contains three pumps: two powerful, cast-iron pumps and a battery back up pump. The TripleSafe ensures that, even in bad weather or a power outage, water will continue to be pumped out and away from the basement through the discharge lines. On the exterior of the home, IceGuards were installed on the discharge lines. The IceGuards prevent water from coming back into the basement if the lines become frozen or clogged by allowing it to escape through slotted openings.
Linda and Peter G. are thrilled they won’t have to clean up messes anymore because their basement will stay dry even when it’s storming.
Jackie and Bill B. of Bonne Terre, MO had a foundation wall that was bowing inward to an alarming degree. There was a long crack that spanned the entire wall along where the bowing was the most severe. Water had been getting in through the crack and damaging the drywall and staining the foundation walls. They were worried about the wall becoming an even bigger problem in the future so they called Woods Basement Systems. Design Specialist Kevin E. found that the best solution would be installing Geo-Lock Wall Anchors.
Geo-Lock Wall Anchors were installed along the walls. They permanently stabilize the wall by counteracting the external pressure that’s causing the wall to fail. Earth anchors that have been embedded in stable soil in the yard are connected to wall plates on the inside of the wall using steel anchor rods. The rods are tightened and the walls are held firmly in place and can even be straightened in most cases.
Over the cracked wall, CleanSpace vapor barrier was installed. CleanSpace is a thick, durable plastic barrier that can be installed over rough or uneven walls. It prevents moisture from entering the basement.
Jackie and Bill B. have peace of mind because their walls are now stable and secure.
The concrete driveway and walkway of Kurt K.’s Brownstone, IL home were uneven. Some of the concrete slabs in the driveway and walkway were sinking which caused them to pull away from the house and were no longer level with the other slabs, creating tripping hazards. Kurt didn’t want to deal with replacing his driveway and walkway so he called Woods Basement Systems. Woods recommended PolyLevel.
PolyLevel was injected under the concrete slabs of the walkway and driveway. It’s an expanding polymer foam that lifts and levels the concrete. It cures quickly so the concrete driveway and walkway can be used in about 15 minutes, meaning far less downtime than with traditional mudjacking. It’s also waterproof when it cures so it won’t be washed away.
Kurt is glad he can use his concrete walkway and driveway without worrying about tripping.
Bonne Terre, Missouri resident Colin R. was troubled by his bowing foundation walls. Over time, the walls bowed due to high pressure in the soil and began to crack. System design specialist Brian H. designed a solution to restore the basement walls and provide support to the foundation.
Jeremy R., Woods Basement Systems foreman, installed Geo-Lock Wall Anchors and PowerBrace. Both systems restore the walls to their original position and support the foundation. Geo-Lock Wall Anchors are driven into undisturbed soil to support the home. When undisturbed soil is unavailable, PowerBrace is used.
With these systems, Colin no longer has to worry about his foundation collapsing. He is pleased to know the foundation will stay supported.
Farmington, Missouri homeowner Cindy F. was troubled by her wet, musty crawl space. The water seepage caused mold that ate away at the structural support of her home. System design specialist Thomas W. designed a solution to restore the crawl space.
The Clean Space crawl space encapsulation system was installed by foreman Greg J. and his crew. CleanSpace is an inorganic vapor barrier. It does not allow moisture into the crawl space, and it does not support mold growth. In addition to CleanSpace, SaniDry was installed. SaniDry is an energy-efficient dehumidifier. It keeps humidity low and mold away without hiking energy costs.
Cindy is thrilled to have a restored crawl space. She can breathe easily knowing it will stay dry.
Jeffrey J. from Wildwood, MO noticed that the concrete walkway below his front porch was starting to sink and settle unevenly. Aware that issue could cause more problems over time, and was a tripping hazard for people entering his home, he decided to call Woods Basement Systems for a free estimate. Upon the inspection, he learned that this can occur over time as a result of the weight of the concrete in addition to the weight that the concrete has to support.
Systems Design Specialist Chris A. visited the home and determined that by installing PolyLevel foam injections, the issue would be resolved. Foreman Andrew T. installed the foam injection, which is simply done 4-step process. It helps to lift the concrete, with intentions of restoring it back to its original state.
Jeffrey J. is very pleased that home's appearane has improved along with the safety of his walkway.
Kevin and Jason of Bonne Terre, MO were concerned when they found bowing walls in their basements. They called Woods Basements Systems, to come out and take a look. System Design Specialist Michael was able to come up with a solution to the problem.

Kevin and Jason are so happy their foundation has extra support!
Dorothy K. of St. Louis, Missouri discovered a leak in the foundation of her home. Whenever it rained, the water would stream in her basement. She called Woods Basement Systems for help.
Design specialist Brandon B. assessed the situation and decided that the best solution would be to install a Twin Pack sump pump and a WaterGuard drainage system. The Twin Pack sump pump has both a primary and secondary pump that collects water and sends it outside the home through an exterior discharge line. The WaterGuard drainage system is placed above the footing and collects any water that seeps up from the ground before it reaches the surface.
Dorothy K. no longer has to worry about the leak resulting in water collecting in her basement. She now has a dry and waterproof basement.
Kathie H. of Wildwood, Missouri discovered that water was getting into her basement whenever it rained. She did not want to have to deal with this problem after each rain shower, so she called Woods Basement Systems.
Design specialist Micheal T. discussed the problem and solution with the homeowner. Soon after, foreman Mason S. headed to the home to install a Triple Safe sump pump and a WaterGuard drainage system. The Triple Safe sump pump has a primary, secondary, and battery powered pump that collects and removes water from the home, even when the power goes out. The WaterGuard drainage system is placed above the footing and collects and drains any water that comes up from the ground before it reaches the basement surface.
Kathie H. no longer has to worry about her basement flooding when it rains. She now has a dry and waterproof basement.
Homeowner Stanton G. of Farmington, MO noticed uneven concrete outside of his home. Knowing the dangerous hazards that an ueven concrete can cause, Stanton G. gave Woods Basement Systems a call.
System design specialist, Jeremy R. did an inspection on the home and set up a design that would create safe and leveled concrete. After proper inspection, foreman William T. did a PolyLEVEL installation. This system requires lightweight equipment and less mess than other repair options. Instead of using a mixture of concrete and mud, the PolyLEVEL system uses high-density polymers that will raise the concrete back to desired level.
Because of the installation of the PolyLEVEL system, Stanton G. has leveled concrete and no longer has to worries about any trip hazards.
Chris B. of Farmington, Missouri discovered that his basement was collecting water. He did not want to have to deal with the mess every time it rained, so he called Woods Basement Systems.
Design specialist Brandon B. discussed the problem and solution with the homeowner. Foreman Ryan L. then headed to the home to install a TripleSafe sump pump. The TripleSafe sump pump has a primary, secondary, and battery powered pump. The pumps collect water and then send it out of the home through an exterior discharge line. The battery powered pump ensures a dry basement even if the power goes out.
Chris B. no longer has to worry about a flooded basement. He now has a dry and waterproof home.
Rhonda C. of Dexter, Missouri noticed that water was entering her home's basement. She did not want to have to clean up a mess after every heavy rain storm, so she called Woods Basement Systems for help.
Design specialist Brandon B. assessed the situation and decided that the best solution was to install a TripleSafe sump pump, a Sanidry Sedona dehumidifier, a CleanSpace wall system, and a Waterguard drainage system. Foreman Melvin F. then traveled to the home to get the job started.
The CleanSpace wall system is a plastic liner that was attached to the walls of the basement. It acts as a vapor barrier and drains any leaks that may occur behind it. The Waterguard drainage system was placed above the footing of the basement. It collects and drains any water coming up from the ground before it reaches the surface of the basement. The TripleSafe sump pump is equipped with a primary, secondary, and battery powered pump. The sump pump removes water from the basement through a discharge line. Finally, the Sanidry Sedona is a lightweight dehumidifier that not only removes water vapor, but also filters the air for mold spores, pollen, dust, and other allergens.
Rhonda C. no longer has to worry about her home's basement flooding. She now has a dry and waterproof home.
Homeowner Henry L. of Bonne Terre, MO did a radon test on his home. After seeing that the results were above a dangerous level of 4.0 picocuries (pCi/L) she gave Woods Basement System a call. Our system design specialist, Ryan K. headed to Bonne Terre to discuss with the homeowner a design he created that would resolve the issue.
Foreman Brett J. did a Radon Mitigation system installation on the home. Many homeowners are not aware of the danger of high radon levels in their home or that radon even exists. Radon is a toxic gas that cannot be seen, smelled, or tasted. Exposure to high levels of radon is the leading cause of lung cancer for nonsmokers. The Radon Mitigation system is designed to reduce radon levels to a healthy amount. This system consists of a PVC pipe that runs around the home collecting the toxic gas. A radon depressurization then pipes the radon gas away from the home.
Henry L. is now at ease knowing his home is below 4.0 pCi/L because of the Radon Mitigation system.
Karen L. of Waverly, Illinois noticed that a few walls in her home's basement were bowing and cracking. She was also having issues with water entering her home. She did not want to have to keep worrying about these problems, so she called Woods Basement Systems for help.
Design specialist Norman G. assessed the situation and decided that wall anchors would fix the bowing walls, and a TripleSafe sump pump and DryTrak would waterproof the home. Because the team is specially trained, foreman Matthew A. took care of the wall anchors, while foreman Troy W. was responsible for the waterproofing.
The wall anchors extend from the inside walls of the home to the hard packed soil outside. They help stabilize and prevent further movement of the wall. DryTrak is installed on top of the basement floor and drains water coming through the foundation walls. Finally, the TripleSafe sump pump removes water from the home through a discharge line. It is equipped with a primary, secondary, and battery powered pump.
Karen L. no longer has to worry about a wet basement or bowing walls. She now has stable basement walls and a waterproof home.
Colin R. of Bonne Terre, Missouri noticed that a few walls in his home's basement were bowing and cracking. He did not want the problem to continue to get worse, so he called Woods Basement Systems for help.
Design specialist Brian H. assessed the situation and decided the best solution was to install some PowerBraces and Wall Anchors. Foreman Jeremy R. then headed to the home to get the job started.
PowerBraces consist of steel I-beams that are fastened to the joists above the wall. They are adjustable, so they can be tightened to help straighten and stabilize the walls. Wall anchors, also made of steel, extend from the inside walls of the basement to the hard packed soil outside. They help stabilize and prevent further movement of the walls.
Colin R. no longer has to worry about his home's basement walls bowing and cracking. He now has safe and stable walls.
Peggy W. of Farmington, MO called Woods Basement Systems concerned about water coming in through the basement floors. Woods sent System Design Specialist Jeremy R. to her home where he designed an ideal repair solution to fix Peggy's problem.
Foreman Mason S. and his team installed puish pier foundation repair systems to address settling in the home's foundation. Push pier systems provide reliable, permanent support that lifts and stabilizes a home's foundation. Now Peggy has the peace of mind she needed thanks to her foundation support solution.
Farmingotn, Missouri homeowner Van called Woods Basement Systems a call about cracks in his poured concrete foundation that lead into his brick exterior walls. System Design Specialist Jeremy R. planned a Push Pier system that would give Van's house the support it needed.
Foreman Miguel O. and his crew installed Push Piers. Push Piers were the perfect solution because they could be installed in the Feburary snow. Push Piers are a steel rod that is drilled to the bedrock under the foundation. This transfers the weight of the structure from the soil to the rods. Since they are installed at a higher pressure than the house will present, we know our Push Pier will hold up to the job.
Van can rest easy knowing his home will not continue to crack.
Collinsville, Illinois homeowner Steve noticed that the tile in his basement was usually wet. He gave Woods Basement Systems a call and System Design Specialist Chris T. developed the perfect solution to create a dry basement.
Foreman Kevin J. and his crew installed WaterGuard around the perimeter of the basement and linked it to a TripleSafe sump pump.
This is one of our stongest combinations to combat a wet basement. The WaterGuard is specially designed to not clog by only collecting water. It can collect water from beneath it, behind it, and coming down the walls. These are the main ways water can enter the basement becuase the gaps that are left when the foundation, floor, and footing are poured.
The WaterGuard directs water to the TripleSafe sump pump. The TripleSafe sump pump is a series of three pumps including a battery operated back up pump, to guarentee even in high rains, plumbing breaks, and power oiutages youare covered.
Steve now knows he will have dry floors when he goes downstairs.
Joe and Jill, are homeowners in Bonne Terre, Missouri. They were experiencing a very humid basement that was beginning to develop a smell. They had worked with Woods Basement System before, so they gave us a call back to see how we could help. System Design Specialist Bill C. developed a plan to help their humid basement.
Foreman Kevin J. and his crew installed CleanSpace along the basement walls and WaterGuard along the perimeter. Adding CleanSpace to basement walls creates a vapor barrier the traps water vapor from the porous surface in. Instead of then making all the air humid, the vapor is caught behind the barrier where it condenses and drains into the WaterGuard.
The CleanSpace goes into the top of the WaterGuard. The WaterGuard will collect the water coming down the wall and from below and behind it. It will redirect this collected water to a sump pump where it is removed from the basement and away from the home.
A drier basement will be less likely to smell because mold spores, dust mites, and other allergens will not be able to live in the dry environment. Joe and Jill will be able to breathe easier now.
Kristy, a Bonne Terre, Missouri homeowner, noticed cracks in the exterior walls of her home. She gave Woods Basement Systems a call and System Design Specialist Jeremy R. developed the perfect plan for her.
Foreman Miguel O. and his crew came out and installed Push Piers around Kristy's home. Push Piers are the perfect solution to a settling structure because they take the weight of the structure from the moving soil and transfer it to solid bedrock. This provides the resistance the home needs to no longer settle. Over time this should close the gaps in her home.
Kristy can now enjoy her stable home for decades to come.
Karen of Farmington, Missouri had a crack in a basement wall which caused water to leak in. She decided to call Woods Basement systems and systems design specialist, Pete L. found a solution. He recommended installing a TripleSafe pump, CleanSpace, and WaterGuard.
Foreman, Jose L. installed the products. The TripleSafe pump guarantees to keep your basement or crawl space dry with its three-in-one design including a primary pump, a secondary pump, and a battery-powered backup pump. CleanSpace is a vapor barrier made of inorganic materials which makes in not susceptible to mold growth. It works to collect water that seeps through basement walls. The WaterGuard takes the water that the CleanSpace collects and guides it to the sump pump where it can be removed from the home.
Now Karen C. can sleep easy, knowing her basement is dry.
Scott and Peggy of Farmington, Missouri were worried about their chimney separating from their home. The gave Woods Basement Systems a call and Team Woods developed a plan to save their chimney.
Foreman Mason and his crew installed 2 Push Piers on the chimney base. These steel rods took the weight of the chimney from the moving soil to the solid bedrock. This raised the chimney and will prevent it from settling again.
Peggy and Scott no longer have to worry about their chimney falling from their home.
Jacob B. of Farmington, Missouri needed preventative waterproofing work done so he decided to call Woods Basement Systems. Systems design specialist, Brian S. recommended installing a TripleSafe sump pump, WaterGuard, and IceGuard.
Foreman, Greg H. installed the products. The TripleSafe sump pump can protect your home from leaks in three ways: with primary pump, a secondary pump, and a battery-powered backup pump. The WaterGuard is installed around the perimeter of the basement floor in order for it to collect water that seeps through the walls. It then takes that collected water and guides it to the sump pump to be removed from the home. IceGuard is placed on the outside of the home and prevents water from backing up into the basement by allowing water to expel from the guards in a situation where pipes might freeze or clog in the winter months.
Now Jacob B. has a dry basement.
Bob and Jamie L. of Bonne Terre, Missouri had a moist, musty crawl space that needed repaired, so they called Woods Basement Systems for a solution. Systems design specialist, John S. recommended installing a SmartSump pump, CleanSpace, and IceGuard.
Foreman, Michael P. installed the products. The SmartSump pump is specifically made for crawl spaces and it is guaranteed to protect against leaks and floods. CleanSpace is a vapor barrier used to seal off a crawl space from dirt, critters, and moisture. It is made of inorganic materials, so it does not support mold growth. IceGuard is placed on the outside of the home and it allows water to expel from the guards in case pipes freeze or clog, preventing water from backing up into the basement.
Now Bob and Jamie L. have a healthy crawl space.
Andrea R. of Bonne Terre, Missouri had a crawl space that needed attention because it was moist and causing mold to grow in upper levels of the home, so she called Woods Basement Systems. Systems design specialist, Colin M. was able to find a solution and recommended installing a SmartSump pump, CleanSpace, and IceGuard.
Foreman, James L. installed the products. The SmartSump sump pump is specifically designed for crawl spaces and it can help protect a home from leaks and floods. CleanSpace is used in crawl spaces to fully seal it off from dirt, critters, and moisture. It is made of inorganic materials, so it will not support mold growth. IceGuard is placed on the outside of the home to allow water to expel from the guards in the event that the pipes should clog or freeze, preventing water from backing up in the basement.
Now Andrea R. has a healthy crawl space.
Farmington, MO homeowner John G. struggled with excess water pouring into his basement with nowhere to go, so he reached out to Woods Basement Systems for assistance. John met with System Design Specialist Nolan M. and received a zero-cost estimate on a custom-built waterproofing system to protect his home.
Foreman Greg H. and his team devised and installed a tailor-made system consisting of WaterGuard drains and a Twin Pack sump pump unit. WaterGuard is a French drain system installed under the floor slab for powerful, clog-free drainage in both finished and unfinished basements. WaterGuard redirects water to Twin Pack, which removes the water from the home using dual cast-iron Zoeller pumps.
John now has the peace of mind he deserves to enjoy a clean, dry basement thanks to WaterGuard and Twin Pack!
Erin F. in Farmington, MO was frustrated with water pouring in through her old, leaky basement windows. Foreman Vern H. and his team swapped out the old, leaky windows with EverLast replacements. EverLast windows are constructed from high-quality vinyl, making them immune to rot and rust while forming a watertight seal. Erin's water troubles are now a thing of the past thanks to her new EverLast windows!
Tracy from Farmington, Missouri wanted to work with Woods Basement Systems to waterproof her basement. Woods' system design specialist, Brenton K., investigated this musty, wet basement for a solution to keep water from damaging the home. After sketching up possible plans, Brenton recommended installing a WaterGuard drainage system, a TwinPack sump pump, and replacing the old discharge lines.
This plan was then given to head foreman, Juan H., who worked along with his team to protect this basement from harm. First, the TwinPack sump pump was installed into the corner of the basement to discard of all pesky water leaks. Along the perimeter of the room, WaterGuard drains were installed into the footing of the walls to collect the water leaks and send the leaks to the TwinPack. On the exterior, three new discharge lines were installed to direct the discarded water away from the home. The new lines will prevent the water from seeping back into the basement and will stop the vicious cycle. With the help of TwinPack, WaterGuards, and discharge lines, this home is ready to take on the storms.
James of Valles Mines, Missouri was tired of looking at and driving over his badly cracked and uneven driveway. Several of the concrete slabs were sinking, and he knew it would only get worse if left to its own devices. Wanting the problem corrected quickly and professionally, he called Woods Basement Systems.
To lift and level the uneven driveway, foreman John and his team injected PolyLevel, an expanding composite foam capable of holding many tens of thousands of pounds, underneath the sunken slabs. Once in place, the quick-drying foam was set within 30 minutes and the driveway was already usable and as as good as new!
Farmington, Missouri homeowner Christy was having major flooding issues in her basement. A recent heavy rainstorm had totally flooded the space, requiring hours of cleanup. She was tired of dealing with it, and she was eager to have her basement protected from water for good.
A Woods Basement Systems team led by Juan Hernandez began the waterproofing process by installing a WaterGuard drainage system underneath the flooring at the base of the leaking walls to catch leaks and prevent them from making it onto the floor. After this, the walls were covered with an inorganic, anti-mold CleanSpace vapor barrier in order to seal out moisture and help guide leaks down toward the drains. Finally, a TripleSafe sump system, equipped with three separate pumps and capable of removing well over 10,000 gallons of water per hour, was installed to remove all water from the home. Christy could not be happier with the results!
John G. of Farmington, Missouri was havng issues with leaks in his basement. Whenever it rained heavily, water would stream down the walls and pool on the floor. This constant moisture required constant cleanup, and John was fed up.
In order to waterproof the space, a Woods Basement Systems team first installed a WaterGuard drainage system. These gutter-like drains are placed under the floor at the base of the leaking walls to catch any and all water. Finally, a TripleSafe sump pump was put in place and connected to the WaterGuard system to remove all water from the home.
Terry H. of O'Fallon, Missouri was interested in having his garage floor repaired. Over the years, it had become quite badly cracked and sunken in a few places, and he wanted it returned to its original condition.
In order to repair the damaged concrete, a Woods Basement Systems team used PolyLevel. This expanding composite foam was injected underneath the damaged floor in order to lift the sunken sections and fill in the cracks. Because PolyLevel is quick-drying, the garage floor was ready to be driven on in just 30 minutes!
Brittin of Bismarck, Missouri wanted to secure her failing basement after accumulating years of water damage in her basement. Over time the water that had leaked inside weakened the walls and caused them to crack and bow. System design specialist, Brian S., worked with Brittin to design a customized plan to solve Brittin's basement needs.
After looking over the space, Brian recommended installing PowerBrace beams to resecure the troubled walls. He also suggested installing a WaterGuard drainage system around the perimeter of the space to waterproof the area and prevent more water damage from accumulating. Thanks to foreman, Greg H., and his crew this foundation support and waterproofing products were installed quickly and efficiently.
Homeowner Brittin L. of Bismarck, Missouri recently noticed her basement walls were leaking between the cracks of the concrete blocked walls. She had never had a problem with rainwater entering her basement or home before. Unsure and unaware of what to do about her water problem, she decided to call Woods Basement Systems.
We sent our foremen Greg Harvie and his team out to her home to install our WaterGuard system. WaterGuard is a top-of-the-line drainage system that sits on top of the footing, catching more water and less debris and dirt. Now, Brittin has peace of mind knowing her basement is waterproofed, dry, and clean.
The owners of this home in Bonne Terre, MO. had previously hired Woods Basement Systems to install their specially designed TripleSafe™ sump pump system to keep their basement dry and protected.
The TripleSafe™ is more than just a sump pump, it is a carefully designed waterproofing system, featuring not just one sump pump, but three. The main pump is equal in power to the standard sump pump that many homes have installed during construction. A second, slightly more powerful pump can kick in to assist the first sump pump if water levels rise higher than what that one pump can deal with. A basement with a single sump pump would be at flood risk by the time the second pump in the TripleSafe™ kicks in. A third pump, which is battery-powered, can kick in as well if water levels continue to rise past the point where the first two pumps can handle everything. Since it uses battery power, the third pump can also turn on when the power goes out and normal sump pumps can't work. All three pumps are installed in a single sump pit liner, which features an air-tight lid to prevent any water in the pit from evaporating into the air. The lid also features a special floor drain and an alarm that can alert homeowners to dangerously high water levels in the sump pit.
Recently, the homewoners scheduled an annual maintenance visit from their Woods Basement Systems professional. The technician was able to check that each of the three pumps was in working order and that all parts of the system, including the lid, alarm, battery and discharge lines were in good condition and that the system was performing to the best of its abilities. Had a pump not been working or another issue with the system arisen, the technician would be able to repair or replace that part during that same visit, ensuring that the home is always well protected against floods.
With the TripleSafe™ sump pump system, this home is protected against flooding throughout the toughest storms - even if the power goes out.
In Bonne Terre, Missouri homeowners James and Debra H. were having foundation settlement issues in their home. In the last few years they had noticed cracks forming inside and outside of their home. The cracks were extremely apparent on the exterior of the foundation, cracking and breaking near the ground outside. Unsure of what to do, they decided to call Woods Basement Systems to see if they had a solution. Our foreman Jose Lorenzana and his team came out to the home and installed the perfect solution, PushPiers. Our PushPiers are installed from the outside of the home, placed underneath the footing to lift and support the foundation of the home.
