When Julie and Mike M were concerned when they started smelling mold as they turned on their air-conditioner, they knew they needed to do something about it.  So they called Woods Basement Systems.  System Design Specialist Brenton K was able to come up with a solution to the problem.

Foreman Joshua B installed CleanSpace in Julie and Mike’s crawlspace.  The CleanSpace system, shown above, is a heavy duty plastic liner that will line the floors and walls of your crawl space, making sure that it stays dry and mold free.  He also installed CleanSpace Drainage Matting, which will allow water to drain out if the crawlspace does flood.  This will make your crawlspace accessible, and keep the air in your home clean.

Fast and Effective Concrete Lifting and Leveling

The major flaw of concrete is that the ground that it was poured on top of will inevitably shift and sink over time. In the states of Illinois and Missouri sinking concrete is all too common which is why our company has gone to great lengths to develop fast and effective concrete lifting and leveling solutions. PolyLevel is a revolutionary product that is minimally invasive and not only lifts and levels concrete but also stabilizes it. The concrete lifting and leveling process begins with a few small holes drilled in the slab, then the PolyLevel polymer is poured into the holes. After only about 15 minutes the polymer is dry and the concrete is ready to be walked and even driven on. This concrete lifting and leveling technique is faster, less disruptive and arguably more effective than mud jacking which is the procedure PolyLevel replaces. To removed tripping hazards, stabilize concrete, and lift it back to a level height nothing is faster or more effective than PolyLevel. To schedule a FREE concrete lifting and leveling estimate contact us today!

We can Fix:
  • Sunken sidewalks
  • Sagging steps
  • Uneven patios
  • Sinking driveways

Crawl Space Waterproofing in Taylorville, IL

Julie M. of Taylorville, Illinois was shocked when she discovered her home's crawl space was collecting water. She knew that standing water could cause problems such as mold growth and rotting, so she called Woods Basement Systems.

Design specialist Brenton K. assessed the situation and decided that the best solution was to install a CleanSpace encapsulation system. Foreman Josh B. then headed to the home to get the job started. The CleanSpace encapsulation system is a durable liner that is placed on the floor and up the walls of the crawl space. Cracked and Uneven Concrete Fixed With PolyLevel Foam Injection in Taylorville, IL

Mallory C. of Taylorville, IL was having problems with the concrete in her basement cracking and appearing uneven. This can happen over time as a result of the weight of the concrete and the weight of what the concrete is responsible for holding up. She contacted Woods Basement Systems for a free estimate about resolving the issue.

Systems Design Specialist Matthew S. evaluated the situation and determined that the concrete was sinking and settling unevenly, which was the cause of the cracking. This can happen over time, due to the weight of the concrete and what the concrete is holding up. Matthew determined that the appropriate solution would be for foreman Juan H. to insert PolyLevel, which is a foam injection that is installed in a simple 4-steps. It lifts the concrete resulting in a safe and level surface.

Mallory C. no longer has to be concerned of the safety and security of her home now that she has had PolyLevel installed.

Walls stabilized in Taylorville, IL

Max W. of Taylorville, IL had bowing walls in his basement and connected garage. Large cracks had formed along the walls and the garage doors were sticking and hard to open. Max was afraid the walls might fail and he’d have an even bigger problem on his hands so he called Woods Basement Systems for a free assessment. Design Specialist Kevin E. inspected the inside and outside of the foundation and found the perfect solution.

Woods installed Geo-Lock Wall Anchors along the bowing walls. Geo-Lock Wall Anchors work by connecting a heavy duty steal earth plate that’s been embedded in the yard to an anchor rod that’s been driven through the basement wall and then connecting it to a steel wall plate on the wall. It is tightened to hold the wall firmly in place and permanently stabilize it. Geo-Lock Wall Anchors can also straighten bowing walls in most cases.

Max W. is happy that his foundation walls are permanently stable and he no longer has to worry about them collapsing.

Controlling the humidity of the crawlspace will reduce energy bills and make the home more comfortable because the air that is moving into the home is more controlled.

New Crawlspace in Taylorville, IL

Dan B. in Taylorvile, IL was experiencing a damp crawlspace. He knew that if the crawlspace did not dry out, it could soon start to rot the wood and grow mold. Dan called Woods Basement Systems to find a solution.

Woods came in and installed a drainage matting under CleanSpace. This drainage mat would help drain away any water that may get into the crawlspace. The CleanSpace was used to seal off the space to prevent moisture from getting into the space, helping to keep it dry.

A Twin Pack sump pump was installed to provide escape for any unwanted water in the space. Water that may still get into the space will be pumped out through a discharge line that leads the yard. If this line becomes frozen or backed up, IceGuard will prevent the water from receding back into the crawlspace.

CleanSpace Installation in Taylorville, IL

In Taylorville, IL, Bill H. was having moisture control issues in his crawlspace. Bill wanted to ensure his home would be safe from mold and rotting wood. Woods Basement Systems assured Bill they could fix the issue.

Woods installed a drainage mat and CleanSpace. The drainage mat would help drain away standing water and CleanSpace would seal the space and keep water from getting in. Woods also installed vent covers for additional sealing. These create an air tight seal preventing moisture from seeping through into the crawlspace.

Woods installed a sump pump that would help remove the water from the crawlspace. The sump pump will pump the water out of the crawlspace into the yard through a discharge line.

Curve St. in Taylorville
I would like to start out saying that your customer service rating is an F- right now. I spent nearly $10000 with your company to have a dry basement. In April we had a lot of heavy rain. One of the windows you installed in my basement started leaking, I had a lot of water come in. I called and was scheduled an appointment shortly thereafter in May. A couple of days before my appointment "Armando" called to cancel because there were more important jobs due to the amount of rain in the area. i returned the call and got a recording. I left a message and never received a call back. Out of the blue, in July, "Armando" called and left a message, I returned the call, again voice mail. I called Woods directly to schedule an appointment. Oh, we cannot work you in until October 26. Last Thursday I had a heavy downpour, go downstairs, two windows are leaking now. After cleaning up all the water I again call Woods. Oh, let me transfer you to the scheduling tech. She looks at the schedule and says she will call right back when she finds a time. That was over a week ago. NOT ONE SINGLE CALL YET. Seriously? Additional information: Preferred Appointment Date: 08/07/2017 Preferred Appointment Time: 1pm-4pm

We are currently painting the new drywall in the lower level on our bi-level house we purchased in late December 2016. We have water seeping in around the outside walls. The new drywall is not damaged yet however we need to stop the water before we proceed.

I am looking to buy a home at the above address. The crawl space is damp and does not have a sump. My building inspector advised that there had been 8 inches of water in the crawl at some time. Whether or not I buy the house and how much I offer, is dependent upon satisfactory resolution of the sump and damp crawl space issue. My best guess is that the crawl space is about 2000 sq. ft. I believe it would require electrical supply to the sump and pump, discharge line, maybe laterals, gravel, and a new vapor barrier. If you want to give me an estimate, I would need some advance notice to arrange for access.

We have a split-level house with a finished section 4 foot deep and an unfinished basement completely below grade. We have several active leaks in basement walls and several periodic leaks in the finished rooms. I believe that the tiling system has been compromised and was wondering if it could be unclogged or absolutely needs replaced (or some other fix).
