A Carmi, IL resident was tired of dealing with a wet basement every time it rained for the past 22 years. The water would come in through cracks in the walls and at the floor joints during heavy rains. She was concerned about the possibility of mold and wanted a dry basement that she could use for storage.
Woods Basement Systems installed WaterGuard, IceGuard, and TrenchDrain in order to collect all of the water and lead it out and away from the house. The resident was very pleased with the work that was done by Woods and said they were the most professional crew she has ever worked with.
In an effort to make her Carmi, IL crawlspace look newer and cleaner, Amanda P. decided to have Woods Basement Systems install CleanSpace. CleanSpace is a plastic liner, good for basements and crawlspaces. The liner will help maintain temperature control in the home, and reduce moisture, which can cause mold spores and allergens. Thanks to CleanSpace and Woods Basement Systems, Amanda is now able to use her clean looking crawlspace for storage, and can rest easy knowing CleanSpace will protect her stored items from getting wet and moldy.
This Carmi IL resident had a dirt crawl space with no protection from the outside environment. This left it vulnerable to unwanted water, animals, and mold entering and leaving behind an odor that could be smelled within the house. Woods Basement Systems was able to install a CleanSpace Encapsulation system in the crawl space to seal it off from the outside, as well as our SmartSump sump pump and SaniDry dehumidifier to keep the space clean and dry.
Carmi, Illinois resident Theresa S. was distruaght by water leaking into her basement. The water caused mold, created a musty odor and risked damaging her valuables. System design specialist Paul W. designed a solution.
Foreman Thomas B. installed WaterGuard. WaterGuard is a perimeter drainage system that collects and guides water to the TripleSafe sump pump system. TripleSafe is equipped with three pumps to ensure the basement stays dry. CleanSpace was also installed. CleanSpace is an inorganic vapor barrier applied to the walls. It guides water to the TripleSafe. To keep the mold away, the SaniDry dehumidifier was installed.
Theresa is thrilled to have a dry comfortable basement. She can sleep easily knowing her basement will stay dry.
Jenny and Virginia M. of Carmi, Illinois were troubled by water leaking into their basement where the floor meets the wall. The water caused mold and risked damaging their valuables. A Woods Basement Systems system design specialist designed a solution.
WaterGuard, a perimeter drainage system, was installed. WaterGuard collects and guides water to the TwinPack sump pump system. TwinPack is equipped with a main pump and backup pump to ensure the basement stays dry. With this solution, Jenny and Virginia's basement will stay dry.
Steve E. of Mill Shoals, Illinois was distraught by his bowing foundation walls. As the walls bowed under pressure, they cracked and compromised the integrity of the foundation. Foreman Jaylon O. installed a solution to support the foundation.
Geo-Lock Wall Anchors were installed by Jaylon and his team. Geo-Lock is driven into undisturbed soil to provide a permanent solution for the bowing walls. The wall anchors straighten the walls to their original position and provide continuous support for the foundation.
Steve is relieved to have a safe and supported foundation.
Jerry and Becky W. of Norris City, Illinois were frustrated with their wet, musty crawlspace. The water seepage caused mold. Mold is an allergen, but it also risked rotting the wooden support beams of the home.
The CleanSpace crawlspace encapsulation system was installed to keep the crawlspace dry. CleanSpace is an inorganic vapor barrier, so it does not support mold growth. In addition to CleanSpace, SaniDry was installed. SaniDry is an energy efficient dehumidifier. Keeping the humidity low will keep the mold away.
Jerry and Becky are relieved to have a dry crawlspace and a healthy home.
Brenda and Jim C., Norris City, Illinois homeowners, were troubled by water leaking into their basement where the floor meets the wall. The water caused mold and risked damaging the valuables they stored in the basement. A Woods Basement Systems system design specialist designed a solution to waterproof the basement.
WaterGuard, a perimeter drainage system was installed. WaterGuard is installed below the floor, and it collects and guides water to a sump pump system. IceGuard was also installed. IceGuard provides an exit for water in the even that the discharge lines become frozen or clogged.
Brenda and Jim are pleased to have a dry basement that will stay dry.
Sue and Bud T. were distraught by water leaking into their basement. Water leaked in throught their cracked walls and caused mold. A Woods Basement Systems system design specialist designed a solution.
BrightWall was installed to the walls. It brightens the basement while preventing water from entering. BrightWall guides water to the WaterGuard. WaterGuard is a perimeter drainage system that collects and guides water away from the basement.
Sue and Bud can now enjoy their dry, beautiful basement with no worries.
Allen B. of Frontenac, Missouri noticed that his basement was collecting water. He did not want his basement to flood every time it rained, so he called Woods Basement Systems.
Design specialist Jake S. assessed the situation and solution with the homeowner. Foreman William H. traveled to the home to install a Waterguard drainage system and a CleanSpace Wall System. He also replaced the Zoeller 1/3 hp pump within the existing sump pump.
The Waterguard drainage system is placed above the footing of the basement and is then covered with concrete. It collects and drains any water coming up from the ground to the sump pump before it reaches the basement surface. The CleanSpace Wall System is made of a plastic liner that is placed over the walls. It acts as a vapor barrier and drains any leaks behind it. The Zoeller 1/3 hp pump is the main pump and is responsible for pumping the water most of the time.
Allen B. no longer has to worry about a wet and leaking basement. He now has a waterproof and dry home.
Norris City, Illinois homeowner Shelly did an at home test kit and the results showed high radon levels in her home. She gave Woods Basement Systems a call and System Design Specialist Barry developed a mitigation plan that would work for her home.
Foreman Mike P. and his crew installed the radon mitigation system. The radon mitigation system is a series of pipes that begin in the basement and run to the outside of the home and up past the steep of the home. This release the radon into the outside air where it can dissipate to safe levels. A fan is at the bottom of the pipes to blow the radon up through the piping.
Radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer, behind smoking, so lowering levels in your home is a safety must!
Shelly no longer has to worry about the long term health effects on her family.
Jim and Robin of Grayville, Illinois were worried about the retaining wall attached outdoor stairwell leading to their basement. Over the years, the wall had bowed in quite severely and the couple were concerned that it might collapse altogether. Wanting to act before that could happen, Jim and Robin called Woods Basement Systems.
In order to support and level the retaining wall, foreman Kevin and his team installed several GeoLock fixtures. These work by attaching heavy anchors buried deep in the firm soil several yards away from the home to steel plates affixed to the inside surface of the wall, effectively pulling it outward over time and preventing any further movement. Jim and Robin can rest easy now thanks to Woods Basement Systems!
Homeowner Karen C. of Ballwin, Missouri wanted to fix the foundation problem she was having in her home. She made a call to Woods Basement Systems to see what they could do to solve her problem. Foreman Jose Lorenzana has over 15 years of experience solving foundation problems like the one Karen had in her home. For her problem specifically, Jose and his team installed our PushPier system.
