One Webster Groves home has been through at least three different homeowners, but it was the latest homeowner who inherited and finally decided to resolve his wet basement problem.

William's project also included the IceGuard sump pump discharge line system to prevent his sump pump discharge pipes from freezing in the winter.  William is very impressed with his system, the crew, and our company.  Today, he's free to use his basement for storage and will never have to worry about groundwater leaks again!

Susan from Breese woke up one morning to a strange pungent smell in her house. She searched all over her house to try and find the source of the smell. CleanSpace is a top product for reducing crawl space moisture. It is an anti-microbial vapor barrier that covers the floor and walls of the crawl space. It stops the water vapor coming through the dirt and porous walls from getting into the crawl space sir.  With drainage matting, the vapor collected will be directed to the SmartPump sump pump, instead of pooling under the barrier. 

The SmartPump will be sure that any water that gets into the crawl space is redirected a safe distance away from the home to cause no more problems.

The Vent Covers seal off the crawl space from the elements and critters, creating its own environment instead of being in tune with the outdoors.

Push Piers are steel rods that are driven into the ground beneath the structure until they hit solid soil or bedrock. Maurice of St. Louis, Missouri was looking for a solution for her unleveled and sinking concrete on her property. She decided to give Woods Basement Systems a call where she discussed her options with system design specialist, Chris A. Chris then recommended our top of the line product, PolyLevel.

PolyLevel is made up of inorganic material and is injected into cement to bring the cement back to level. This product is more cost, cleanup, and time efficient then mud jacking.

Gene of Wildwood, Missouri had water leaking in to her basement during heavy rains, so she decided to call Woods Basement Systems for a solution. Systems design specialist, Michael H. recommended installing CleanSpace and WaterGuard. 

Foreman, Juan H. installed the products. CleanSpace is a vapor barrier that is made of inorganic materials, so it does not support mold growth. It is used to collect water that seeps through basement walls and sends it to the WaterGuard. WaterGuard is installed in the basement floor below CleanSpace the catch the water it collects and guides it to the sump pump to be removed from the home.

Creve Coeur, Missouri homeowner Michael L. had been having issues with water leaking into his basement through a crack in the wall for several years. Anytime it rained, a stream of water would run onto the floor from the base of the wall. Because he was interested in selling his home, he needed the problem solved, and he called Woods Basement Systems.

Foreman Kevin J. and his team began their work by installing WaterGuard, a drainage system that sits under the floor at the base of the wall and collects any and all water that makes it into the basement. Next, they installed a TripleSafe sump pump. Equipped with three independendently operating pumps, one of which is a battery-operated backup, it can handle over 20,000 gallons of water per hour. The last improvement, IceGuard, was installed outside on the discharge line to prevent any freezing issues. Michael's basement is now as totally dry!

Brussels, Illinois homeowner Edward K. suspected that his garage foundation was sinking, as he noticed several large cracks forming in the garage's floor. Wanting to address the problem before it could get any worse, he called Woods Basement systems.

In order to lift the sunken foundation, foreman Brad and his team installed two galvanized steel Low-Profile Push Piers underneath the garage. They were inserted into small holes adjacent to the foundation and then adjusted to raise and level it. Capable of supporting many tons of weight, these supports will remain in place to provide support for the life of the structure!

Homeowner Claudia of Innsbrook, Missouri was having moisture issues in her finished basement. She noticed that water was coming from behind a section of drywall and pooling on the floor. Because she was worried about the damage that this water might cause, Claudia called Woods Basement Systems.

In order to waterproof the space, foreman Michael and his team had to first cut away the bottom portion of the wet drywall to get to the source of the water. Allen and Jen K. of Granite City, Illinois were interested in repairing their concrete driveway. Over the years, much of the underlying soil had washed away in the the rain, causing several of the slabs to sink and crack. This damage was both ugly and unsafe, and the couple called Woods Basement Systems for help.

In order to repair the damaged concrete, foreman Malik and his team used PolyLevel, an expanding composite foam. This was injected underneath the sunken slabs through tiny holes in the surface to lift them and fill in the cracks. Mt. Vernon, Illinois homeowner Michael P. was concerned about the state of his basement walls. Over the years, pressure from the surrounding soil had caused them to be riddled with large cracks and several had even begun to bow inward. Michael worried that, if left unchecked, this damage might eventually lead to a total wall collapse.

In order to reinforce the damaged walls, a Woods Basement Systems team installed several GeoLock wall supports. These work by connecting heavy anchors buried deep in the firm soil far from the home to steel plates affixed to the interior surface of the damaged walls, effectively pulling them outward and straightening them over time.

Sump pumps, like anything with a motor, will eventually need to be repaired or replaced. If these pumps are not cared for or replaced it can increase the chances that the basement will flood.

That's why homeowner Dan B. from Wentzville, MO. hired Woods Basement Systems to inspect the sump pump system in his home. Todd G. was sent to check the sump pump, as well as the other waterproofing and basement support systems. During his inspection, Todd examined the pump and discharge line and determined that it was time for a new sump pump.
