WaterGuard Installed in Saint Louis, MO Basement

Saint Louis homeowner Dawn experienced a wet basement. She gave Woods Basement Systems a call and System Design Specialist Adam R. developed a plan perfect to keep her basement dry.

As part of that system, Foreman Miguel O. and his crew installed WaterGuard around the perimeter of the basement. WaterGuard is a basement drainage system unlike any other.

It is designed with holes in the back to allow only water to enter the system. This makes sure the system does not clog. It is able to collect water seeping in from below, behind, and coming down the walls. When combined with CleanSpace, this increases the water collected by the system.

The WaterGuard will drain to the TwinPack sump pump, where it will be discharged outside and away from the home.

With her full system, Dawn knows her basement will remain dry.

Unfinished Section of St. Louis, MO Basement Installs CleanSpace & WaterGuard

An unfinished section of this St. Louis, Missouri basement was experiencing water leaks through the wall. To solve this issue, Team Woods installed a CleanSpace encapsulation system onto the leaky wall along with WaterGuard drains. This duo will protect the basement from mold growth and water damage that would negatively impact the entire house.

French Drain in Garage

Nancy B. of Saint Louis, Missouri was having problems with water entering her garage and puddling up after it rained. This is a common problem for many homeowners with garages, built without the intention of water entering the space. After a recommendation from a neighbor, she decided to call Woods Basement Systems.

We installed our patented waterproofing system, as well as a drainage system at the front of the garage. These items will work together to keep the garage dry and clean. Now, Nancy can store items in her garage without fear of them becoming damaged or wet.

Incapsulating a Crawlspace

Dirt crawlspaces can cause a multitude of problems for houses. The dirt can not only get the crawlspace muddy and gross, but it can allow water vapor to rise from beneath the home and saturate the wooden floor joists that make up the ceiling of the crawlspace. This can cause water damage and support mold growth. Plus the dirt floor gives bugs and rodents access to the bottom of your home, the perfect place for them to make their home!

Just one solution can solve all these problems; CleanSpace™. CleanSpace™ is a vapor barrier made of a tough, tear-proof lining that can block water vapor from below as well as leaks from the crawlspace walls. The bottom side of the liner is also anti-microbial, meaning it is mold resistant and can block mold spores from entering the crawlspace and growing new mold. The crawlspace is incapsulated with CleanSpace™, leaving no gaps or cracks for water vapor to flow inside and harm the home. As a bonus, the crawlspace can be insulated, lowering the cost of heating and cooling and keeping the home comfortable year round.

CleanSpace™ can seal away the dirt and water vapor in the crawlspace, sealing away the problems that come with it. Not only that, but it can lower the cost of heating and cooling year-round.

Performing a Maintenance Inspection on a TripleSafe™ System

This home in Frontenac, MO. had a TripleSafe™ sump pump system keeping the basement dry and protected from water leaks. The time had come for a maintenance inspection to make sure the TripleSafe™ was working as well as it could.

Woods Basement Systems pro Clint W. came by to check each of the three pumps in the TripleSafe™ system and install a Sedona dehumidifier. If one pump fails, the other two pumps would be able to keep the basement dry and protected and, because one pump is battery powered, the TripleSafe™ will also work when the power goes out. Of course, there's no reason to leave a faulty pump installed, so if one pump was not working Clint would replace it during that same inspection with a new pump.

Clint W. also checked the dual discharge lines to make sure that water flows all the way through them and doesn't leak out anywhere. He also checked outside to make sure the end of the line was clear of debris and that water could flow out of the sump pump safely.

As a final measure, Clint also installed a Sedona dehumidifier to dry the air and help keep the home comfortable and energy efficient. That's the kind of pro-active service that Woods Basement Systems can offer.
