This University City, Missouri home's basement had been plagued with leaks for years. Water would stream through cracks in the walls and pool on the floor, creating quite a mess. In order to waterproof the basement, a Woods Basement Systems team installed a WaterGuard French drain system. These gutter-like drains are put in place underneath the floor at the base of the leaking walls to catch any and all water. 

Jessica A. from University City, MO. had a drainage system in her basement that caught leaks coming from where her floor met the stone block wall. This system would direct the water there into her sump pump where it could be pumped out of the home.

But this system didn't protect from water leaking in through the cracks of her wall. This water could seep inside and damage anything leaning against the wall or could condense on other cool survaces like pipes or air vents. 

Naturally, Jessica wanted this problem gone. The solution was CleanSpace™. CleanSpace™ is an incapsulating system often used in dirt crawlspaces to prevent water vapor from rising through the floor. But CleanSpace™ has also been adapted to keep walls dry too. The lightweight water barrier is tough and tear-proof while still being light enough to be permanently mounted on walls. In addition to being waterproof, CleanSpace™ is also mold-resistant to help keep basements mold free.

Adding CleanSpace™ to her block walls and tying it in to her drainage system means Jessica A. no longer needs to worry about water that creeps in through the cracks in her stone block walls.

Shannon T is having some problems with water getting in her basement. There is a ramp leading down to the basement from outside, so it’s very easy for water to flow down and collect on the basement floors.

Melvin F and his crew installed WaterGuard to seal up cracks that water leaks through, and to drain water away. A TrenchDrain was also added by the entrance so that water cannot get past it. Instead, the water is caught and drained away before it can get to the basement. Shannon can now rest assured that her basement will not flood when it rains!

A basement in Saint Louis, MO was having some water problems, making it humid and causing a musty smell to spread throughout the house.
