We also specialize in drying your basement and our technicians are keenly aware of the many water issues that can arise from a simple crack.
Raymond B.’s basement in his St. Louis, MO home flooded each time there was a heavy downpour. Years of water intrusion had left the foundation walls and floors an eyesore and threatened the belongings he had stored in the basement so he called Woods Basement Systems. Woods recommended a basement waterproofing system.
Woods installed the TripleSafe as part of that waterproofing system. The TripleSafe contains two high-powered cast iron pumps and a battery back up pump. It protects against flooding waters in the basement even when weather is severe or there is a power outage.
Joan, a Mehlville, Missouri homeowner, was experiencing new problems with a wet basement. She had worked with Woods Basement Systems before to install a sump pump so, she gave Woods a call. System Design Specialist Clint W. determined this time the problem was exterior and developed an ideal plan for Joan.
Foreman Greg H. and his crew installed an exterior sump pump and sill plate drainage. The sill plate is the meeting place of the foundation and the floor joist. This creates a gap and leaves a place for pooled water to enter the structure. Although landscaping normally leads away from the building, overtime the landscaping can build up around the home.
By putting in sill plate drainage and rocks we can redirect the water away from the foundation. Burying the downspouts and leading them away from the home is also a good way to avoid water from pooling near the foundation.
The exterior sump pump was added because we could not lead the discharge line far enough away. The sump pump forces the water away.
Joan can now enjoy her dry basement and have peace of mind the Woods is always there to keep her home comfortable.
Steve and Anita of Melville, Missouri owned a rental property that leaked with heavy rainfall, so they decided to call Woods Basement Systems. Systems design specialist, Kimberly W. recommended installing A WaterGuard system and a TripleSafe sump pump.
Foreman, Mason S. installed the products. The WaterGuard is used to guide water that is collected through basement walls to the sump pump in order for it to be pumped out of the home. The TripleSafe sump pump uses its three-in-one design to keep your home dry all year round. It includes a primary pump, a secondary pump, and a backup battery-powered pump.
Now Steve and Anita B. can sleep easy, knowing their property is protected.
Water was leaking into a basement in Saint Louis, MO, and it was pooling onto the floors. To fix this, the WaterGuard System was installed. These drainage pipes intercept water at the perimeter of the basement and drain it toward the sump pump system. This system has a design that separates it from the soil under the floor so it will never clog. It will also drain any wall seepage without allowing dirt and debris from the floor to enter. Additionally, TrenchDrains were installed in front of the doors in the basement to catch the water that tries to enter the basement from there. This basement will remain dry and clean for years to come!
