A basement in Cahokia, Illinois, was showing signs of failing foundation walls. Cracks could be seen adorning the walls around the perimeter of the basement, likely from a combination of hydrostatic pressure and moving ground soils. To address this issue, Woods installed the GeoLock Anchor System. In this system, heavy duty steel anchors are buried some ways away from the home and connected to the home using steel rods. These rods are then attach to steel wall plates that are placed directly on the wall. As the rods are tightened, they pull the wall back into place. With the addition of these anchors, the homeowners can rest easy knowing their investment will lead to a stable basement for decades to come.

A crawlspace in East Saint Louis, IL, was unstable and needed to be addressed. The homeowner decided to give Woods a call. To solve this issue, SmartJack™ wall anchors were used to stabilize the crawlspace. These custom-fit steel anchors can be adjusted over time, in case the house shifts. With this system in place, the homeowner can rest easy knowing their crawlspace is nice and stabilized. 

Five Brothers Company of Fairmount City, Illinois had cracks in their walls which led to water leaking in, so they decided to call Woods basement Systems for a solution. Systems design specialist, Joshua H. recommended installing the TripleSafe sump pump, CleanSpace, and WaterGuard.

Foreman, Melvin F. installed the products. The TripleSafe sump pump is guaranteed to keep any home or business dry with its three-in-one design. it comes with a primary pump, a secondary pump, and a battery-powered backup pump for triple protection. CleanSpace is used to collect water that seeps into a basement to guide it to the WaterGuard. The WaterGuard then takes that water and transfers it to the sump pump where it can be removed from the building.

The support blocks in a crawlspace in East Saint Louis, IL were failing, as they were shifting and becoming unstable. The liner was also not keeping the moisture out of the crawlspace, creating a damp and musty environment. To solve these issues, the SmartJack System was first installed. These are steel support systems that can permanently stabilize and level the floor joists and girders in a crawlspace. These add strength and stability to the existing columns and piers in the crawlspace. They are unaffected by moisture, as they will not rust, weaken, or be affected by mold. These will lift the floors above back toward their original position, reduce floor “bounce” caused by excessive joist spans, and solve the problem once and for all. To help direct waterflow into the sump pump, WaterGuard was installed in the basement of this East St. Louis, IL home.
