Pressure from soil on the foundation walls of a basement can cause the walls to bow, lean and crack. Cheryl S. noticed cracks and areas where parts of her wall had crumbled away so she called Woods Basement Systems. Woods recommended installed Geo-Lock Wall Anchors.
The Geo-Lock Wall Anchors were installed along Cheryl’s cracking walls. Steel wall plates are connected to anchor rods that are driven through the wall and attach to earth anchors in the yard. They are tightened to permanently stabilize the walls and can straighten walls in most cases.
Cheryl S. is glad to know her walls are safe from any future damage and are stable.
Richard B. of Granite City, IL had tried patching the cracks in their foundation walls but new ones kept forming. He was worried that might mean there was a larger underlying issue so he called Woods Basement Systems. Woods recommended installing Geo-Lock Wall Anchors.
The Geo-Lock Wall Anchors that were installed along the crack walls will permanently stabilize the walls in position by counteracting pressure on the outside of the walls that causes cracking and tilting. Over time, the walls can be straightened by tightening them during dry periods.
Ray and Pamela R., Granite City, Illinois homeowners, were troubled by their wet, musty crawl space. Water seepage caused mold. Mold is an allergen to most people and can be harmful to the home's structure. System design specialist John S. designed a solution.
Foreman Josh B. installed the CleanSpace crawl space encapsulation system. CleanSpace is an inorganic vapor barrier. It prevents water from entering the crawl space and does not support mold growth. SaniDry, an energy-efficient dehumidifier, was also installed. Keeping the humidity low prevents mold growth.
Ray and Pamela are pleased to have a restored crawl space that they know will stay dry.
Dana C was concerned when she noticed that her basement walls were beginning to bow. So, she decided to call Woods Basement Systems. System Design Specialist David P was able to come up with a solution to the problem.
Foreman Jeremy R installed a Geo-Lock Wall Anchor System, shown above, in Dana’s basement. The Wall Anchor has two different ends. One will attach to stable soil away from the house, and the other will attach to the basement walls. The device can be tightened and overtime will straighten the walls.
Richard C. of Granite City, IL had water coming in his basement where the foundation wall met the floor. He contacted Woods Basement Systems to have a free evaluation.
Specialist Nolan M. determined that the WaterGuard waterproofing system was the best solution. One obstable he faced was the basement stairs, but he was able to customize the solution for Richard.
Foreman Brad P. and his crew were able to remove the bottom two stairs, place the WaterGuard in the floor, and replace the bottom two stairs once the concrete was dry.
Richard can now enjoy a fully waterproofed basement and store his valuables with peace of mind.
