A basement wall in Sparta, IL was becoming unstable, bowing forward and cracking. These cracks were also beginning to leak water. To solve these issues, Woods installed the PowerBrace system. These will permanently stabilize the foundation walls, bringing them back to their original position and keeping them there. This foundation will now remain stable for years to come!
Water was leaking around a fireplace in a Sparta, IL basement, causing damage and concern. To solve this issue, the TrenchDrain System was installed. This surface drain is similar to a half-round pipe with a grate that fits snuggly on top of it. The grate is flush or slightly below the floor to catch any water that may enter from the outside. This basement will now stay dry and restore peace of mind for years to come!
Water can wreak havoc on a finished basement. Because leaks often come from behind drywall, they are often not noticed before lots of damage is done. Mold, soaked carpet, and mushy drywall are just some of the problems associated with a leaky finished basement. This Oran, Missouri homeowner was experiencing these exact problems, and he was eager to stop the damage before it got any more costly. A Woods Basement Systems team, after ripping out the drywall and carpet, installed WaterGuard drains underneath the floor at the base of the leaking walls to catch leaks and prevent them from making it onto the floor. This was an expensive process, and a perfect example for why a basement should be waterproofed BEFORE it's finished.
Alice B. of Petersburg, Illinois was troubled by her sinking floors. Greg B., System Design Specialist, inspected her home and designed a solution.
Foreman Miguel O. and his team installed SmartJack. SmartJack lifts and supports the floor. These galvanized steel beams can be adjusted over time as needed. Thanks to this solution, Alice's home is safe and supported.
A basement in Petersburg, Illinois, had some water seepage issues that the current sump pump was not resolving. To help clean up the excess water, Woods came out and installed a french drain system called the WaterGuard System. This system collects water and directs it to the sump pump nearby. Plastic pipes are laid directly underneath the floor and sit on top of the soil to prevent clogging from dirt or other debris. With this install in place, this basement is sure to stay dry for many years to come.
