A basement in Springfield, IL, was leaking during heavy rain and needed to be addressed. This lead to the homeowner deciding to give Woods a call. To solve this issue, WaterGuard™ was used to collect the water that entered the basement. This system sits horizontally on top of the soil to prevent clogging. With this system in place, the homeowner can rest easy knowing their basement will remain dry all the time, even during heavy rain. 

In Springfield, Illinois homeowner Jerry S. was having issues with a wet crawl space. His crawl space looked like many other homeowners, with a dirt floor letting moisture into his home. Once he noticed a smell coming into his home above, he made a call to Woods Basement Systems. He was referred to Woods by a friend that had recently had their crawl space sealed and insulated. He wanted a space that was usable for storage without worrying that his items would get wet or damaged. After a free estimate from one of our system design specialists, he was greeted by our foreman Michael R. who sealed and insulated the space in just one day. The Woods Basement Systems team installed a vapor barrier liner on the floors and walls of the space called Clean Space. If any water were to get into space it would be pumped out by our SmartSump system. Homeowner Jerry was happy with the work done in the space and was ready to use the new storage area in his home.

Water was seeping down the walls in a Springfield, IL basement, so the WaterGuard System was installed. These drainage pipes intercept water at the perimeter of the basement and drain it toward the sump pump system. With this system in place, the homeowner can rest easy knowing their crawlspace will remain nice and dry.  

Originally, this crawl space was lined with plastic that either the homeowner laid down or another business did.  Dirt, pests, and water easily made it under and on to the surface of this liner.  CleanSpace replaced this and created a much cleaner space.  The white liner is thick enough to keep away pests, dirt, and water.  It lines the floor and the walls to make sure proper drainage is taking place.  CleanSpace leaves the crawl space dry and looking brand new.
