This driveway in Smithton, IL. was begining to show signs of uneven settling. The soil beneath the driveway was compressing due to weather and weight pressing it down. As the soil settled, the concrete would lose its support and begin to settle with it.
In addition to making the driveway become uneven, this can lead to cracking and damage as the concrete slabs bump into one another.
To fix this problem and level the driveway, Justin G. injected PolyLevel™ beneath the uneven sections to lift them into place. PolyLevel™ is a foam material that gets injected through small holes in the concrete. Once in place, the foam hardens into a super tough and very lightweight support that holds the concrete up without adding to the weight on the soil below.
PolyLevel™ is tough enough to be used beneath airport runways and is fast enough to be installed and solidified in just a few minutes.
With the driveway leveled, the cracks can be filled with NexusPro™ joint sealant. This sealant will flex with the concrete as it naturally shrinks and expands due to weather, but will prevent the slabs from rubbing into and damaging each other. It also keeps water from seeping through the gaps, where it could continue to erode the soil in places.
Now this Smithton driveway is leveled and protected from future settling.
