Woods Basement Systems was called in to fix both a leaky basement and condensation problem in this Champaign, Illinois home. Two wall cracks were leaking on the west basement wall, but across the basement from that was the water softener and it had enough condensation coming off of it to make it look like a wet basement problem. Our FlexiSpan® basement wall crack repair solved that problem and our SaniDry® system took care of the condensation.
Radon gas is naturally occurring and the only way to know if it is present within your home is to conduct a test. There are some general patterns that can be traced, but just because radon is present in your neighbor's home, doesn't mean it is in yours. When we tested this Champaign, Illinois home, radon levels came in at an 8.1, which is well above the standard. We installed a radon mitigation system, and these homeowners no longer have to worry about the health of their family. Radon is the leading cause of lung cancer among non-smokers.
This dirty crawl space was full of mold, dust, and who knows what else! By installing CleanSpace, the crawl space became a neat and clean area perfect for storage. CleanSpace can turn a worthless nasty area into a tidy useful space.

When a basement is not properly waterproofed it can cause all kinds of problems for the rest of your house, including compromising the structural integrity of the foundations. Some of the major warning signs of a waterproofing problem are moisture or puddling, a musty smell, or condensation. These are most often the results of a sump pump failure, leaky pipes, or water flooding in when it rains. One of the first things that can be done is to install a sump pump to eliminate water and safely transport it out of the house.
Additionally, whether or not you are planning on refinishing your basement, waterproof walls and floors are a great option to keep moisture and bugs out without ugly paneling. Our EverLast wall panels are designed to be 197% stronger than regular drywall, be mold and mildew resistant, and do not require paint so they will look beautiful in your home. We also offer basement ceiling installations which are also mold resistant, allow access to ducts, electrical cords and cables, and have a 30-year limited "no-sag" warranty.
The most common symptoms of foundation disrepair, including bowing walls, cracked floors, sagging floors, and cracks in the walls, can seem more complicated than they actually are. These issues can be caused by a variety of things including poor, wet soil. By using products proven and tested to work like wall anchors, jack posts, and PolyLevel Concrete Leveling System, Woods Basement Systems, Inc. can tackle the problem and find a solution that will work for you.
If you have a patio or sidewalk that has become sunk in or uneven, then PolyLEVEL is the answer to your problem. The PolyLEVEL solution is injected underneath the concrete slab which raises it to the appropriate height. This minimally invasive way of correcting sinking concrete slabs is far preferable to removing the entire slab because it takes less time and is more cost-effective.

WaterGuard was installed under the concrete floors of the basement, along the walls. It is a drainage system that is situated in a way that it won’t be clogged by mud as it collects water from the foundation walls and floors of the basement and drains it to the sump pump.
The TripleSafe Sump Pump System was installed to take the water collected by the WaterGuard and pump it out of the basement through its discharge lines. The TripleSafe contains three pumps: a primary pump, a more powerful secondary pump and a battery back up pump. If the primary pump fails or isn’t keeping up with the rising water, the secondary pump will kick in to ensure the basement remains dry. If there’s a power outage, the battery back up pump will keep pumping water pumping out of the basement.
IceGuards were installed on the discharge lines on the exterior of the home. IceGuards have slotted openings prevent water from coming back into the basement if the discharge lines become frozen during the winter months.

Jay and Jen Y. of Champaign, Illinois were concerned about the moisture in their crawlspace. They called Woods Basement Systems for a free estimate and found that the relative humidity rate in their crawlspace was 78.5 percent; mold thrives on a humidity rate of 70 percent or higher. At that point, they knew it was time to take action.
Jay and Jen chose to have Woods install the CleanSpace Crawl Space Encapsulation System, which works to provide moisture control. Woods started by installing the CleanSpace liner and vapor barrier throughout the crawlspace and then installed a SandiDry Dehumidifier. They now have a dry crawlspace that they can use for extra storage space.
Jeff of Philo, IL had a very wet, humid and musty crawl space. After scanning the internet, he found Woods Basement Systems and set up an appointment for a free estimate.
Representative, Brian Cox, thoroughly assessed his crawl space and suggested a complete encapsulation, a powerful dehumidifier, and a new sump pump. Jeff appealed to Wood’s innovative products and methods and scheduled the job.
In two days, foreman Robert Korte and his crew installed the SmartSump sump pump, the SaniDry dehumidifier, and the CleanSpace liner around the entire crawl space. Jeff’s crawl space is now fully encapsulated & dry and will stay that way for many years to come.
Victor's driveway was unleveled, and he wanted something done to fix it. Hearing about PolyLEVEL, he contacted Woods Basement Systems, Inc. of Collinsville, IL and asked for a free quote.
The company sent one of their System Design Specialists, Nolan, to inspect Victor's driveway. Just as Victor thought, Nolan felt like the driveway slabs needed PolyLEVEL injection. Satisfied with Nolan's diagnosis and solution, Victor arranged for Woods to send their PolyLEVEL team, David and Jeff, to Victor's home for the installation.
A few weeks later, David and Jeff arrived and spent a few hours injecting PolyLEVEL down underneath Victor's driveway. Victor was fascinated with how the PolyLEVEL raised his concrete slabs and could see a big difference once the job was completed.
Victor was impressed and greatly satisfied with the work that was done to his driveway.
This dirty crawl space was incredibly humid and full of mold. The homeowner had been smelling something and couldn’t figure out where it was coming from. Woods discovered that the smell was originating in the crawl space and ventilating up into her home. The homeowner wanted to eliminate all mold and humidity in the crawl space and get rid of the terrible odor.
Woods Basement Systems gave her crawl space a complete makeover by installing CleanSpace and a SaniDry CX. The CleanSpace encapsulation system solved the crawl space moisture problems and prevented mold from growing. The SaniDry worked as a dehumidifier as well as an air filtration system, ensuring that the air in the home was clean and healthy.
The resident was very happy with her now clean and odor-free crawl space.
A Champaign, IL resident was tired of dealing with the headache of having water in his basement every time it rained. The foundation walls had cracks and were slightly bowing, which is where the water would enter into the basement. The sump pump was unable to keep up with the amount of water coming in due to clogged pipes from dirt and debris.
Woods Basement Systems first installed Geo-Lock Wall Anchors to stabilize the walls and prevent them from cracking or bowing any further. Then they waterproofed the basement by installing WaterGuard and a SuperSump. The resident was happy with the work done by Woods and enjoyed having a dry basement all the time.
A Champaign, IL resident decided to have Woods Basement Systems come and give his crawl space a complete makeover in order to eliminate mold, humidity, and odors in his home. Woods installed a SmartSump to fix the water leakage problem in the crawl space before sealing off the crawl space with the CleanSpace encapsulation system. In order to seal out the outside air, CleanSpace vent covers were installed. The transformation was complete with a SaniDry Basement Air System, which not only acts as a dehumidifier, but also as an air filtration system. The resident was very satisfied and now enjoys a clean and dry crawl space!
