Crawlspace Before
Before encapsulation a crawlspace is full of debris, whether that be dirt and rocks from the home's construction or pieces of insulation that have fallen out of place. Our crews prep the space by cleaning out the major debris prior to installation.
Water Barrier Liner
Our water barrier liner serves as part of the encapsulation process. Keeping any moisture or water out of the space, while also creating a clean storage space free of dirt and debris.
Moisture Exposure
Moisture entering your crawlspace can end up costing you a lot, it can be a breeding ground for mold. which the open air could then push up into the interior of your home if not treated.
Your Crawlspace Should be Sealed
Having the opening to your crawlspace exposed like this home invites outside air and debris into the space. The entry to your crawlspace should be sealed tightly to prevent this from occurring. We installed our hard plastic cover onto this opening which is less susceptible to damage over time like a wooden door.
Insulation Failure
When moisture takes over your crawlspace, it can cause the insulation below your floors to deteriorate and move from it's original position. Leaving your floors much colder in the Winter months.
