Crawl Space Repair - Effingham, IL Air Leak, Mold and Odor Potential

This photograph, taken in an Effingham, Illinois crawl space, shows that this crawl space has a dirt floor coupled with no form of insulation. Without some form of vapor barrier there is nothing to prevent the dirt in this crawl space from becoming wet. Wet dirt decomposes and forms mold which can create nasty odors. To make matters worse this crawl space has no form of air sealing to prevent air from seeping into the home from the crawl space.
