Encapsulation
The white encapsulation lining installed on the crawlspace floor and walls is essential for managing moisture in the space. It covers exposed flooring and porous walls, both of which readily allow moisture to seep in. By sealing off these surfaces, the encapsulation blocks moisture intrusion and helps maintain a drier, cleaner, and more controlled environment beneath the home.
Sump Pump System
The sump pump system serves as the core of this crawlspace waterproofing solution. It actively removes collected water and safely directs it away from the home, helping protect the crawlspace and foundation from moisture-related damage.
Dehumidifier System
In addition to the sump pump system, a dehumidifier was installed to fully dry and control the air within the crawlspace. This is not a standard unit, it features a three-stage filtration system and a direct drain line connected to the sump pump. Because it automatically drains, there is no need for manual emptying, allowing the system to operate continuously and efficiently.
Discharge Lines and Outlet
Water collected in the crawlspace is pumped out by the sump system and carried through the discharge lines to its final exit point, shown here as the green lawn outlet. The water is released well away from the home, ensuring it is safely diverted from the foundation and cannot cycle back toward the crawlspace.
