Ronald C. of East St. Louis, Illinois noticed that a few of his home's basement walls were cracking and bowing. He did not want the problem to continue to get worse or cause safety hazards, so he called Woods Basement Systems for help.

Design specialist Peter N. assessed the situation and decided the best option was to install some wall anchors in the home's basement. Fast and Effective Concrete Lifting and Leveling

The major flaw of concrete is that the ground that it was poured on top of will inevitably shift and sink over time. In the states of Illinois and Missouri sinking concrete is all too common which is why our company has gone to great lengths to develop fast and effective concrete lifting and leveling solutions. PolyLevel is a revolutionary product that is minimally invasive and not only lifts and levels concrete but also stabilizes it. The concrete lifting and leveling process begins with a few small holes drilled in the slab, then the PolyLevel polymer is poured into the holes. After only about 15 minutes the polymer is dry and the concrete is ready to be walked and even driven on. This concrete lifting and leveling technique is faster, less disruptive and arguably more effective than mud jacking which is the procedure PolyLevel replaces. To removed tripping hazards, stabilize concrete, and lift it back to a level height nothing is faster or more effective than PolyLevel. To schedule a FREE concrete lifting and leveling estimate contact us today!

We can Fix:
  • Sunken sidewalks

Installing WaterGuard™ in East St. Louis

When basements experience leaks, they can often rise from below the floor. Water collects near the footing and rises up through the gap between the floor and the wall, where it then leaks into the basement.

Some waterproofing plans will try to drain this water from around the footing before it can build up to reach the floor. The problem with these systems is that they often sit in the mud and the filter fabrics they require to keep the mud out of the sump pump will clog. Once the drainage system clogs, the water builds up around it and leaks inside anyway. That's why Woods Basement Systems uses WaterGuard™. WaterGuard™ is the smarter solution to preventing leaks from below the floor.

WaterGuard™ sits on top of the footing, just beneath the floor, where it can collect water rising from below the floor without sitting in the mud next to the footing. This means WaterGuard™ won't clog and won't need filter fabrics that will need replacing. The system can also collect water that leaks in through the walls thanks to a built-in gap between the wall and the floor. This gap catches water from the wall and directs it into the sump pump system with any water collected from below.

Once installed beneath the floor, the trench that gets dug for it is recovered in concrete and the bottom section of the wall is replaced. When everything is done, the basement will be protected from leaks from outside without being an eyesore to anyone inside.

Waterproofing in East St. Louis, Illinois

Keith W. of East St. Louis, Illinois had a leak in his basement, so he decided to call Woods Basement Systems for a solution. Systems design specialist, Sam W. recommended installing a TripeSafe sump pump, WaterGuard, and IceGuard.

Foreman, Donald A. installed the products. The TripleSafe sump pump uses a primary pump, a secondary pump, and a battery-powered backup pump, so it is guaranteed to protect your home. WaterGuard is installed in the perimeter of the basement floor and it is used to collect water that seeps through the basement walls and guides it to the sump pump. Once there, it can be pumped out and away from the home. IceGuard is placed on the outside of the home and it works to allow water to expel from the guards in case pipes freeze or clog.

Now Keith W. has a dry basement.

Now Rosalind and Charles L. have a watertight basement.

CleanSpace was installed on the basement walls to provide protection to the home. CleanSpace sealed off the basement to keep water out but also guided the water that got in to the WaterGuard.

A TripleSafe sump pump was installed to evacuate unwanted water. The sump pump will pump the water out through a discharge line that leads the water to the yard. Woods Waterproofs East Saint Louis Home

An East Saint Louis resident had been living with water in her basement for 6 years.  It wasn’t until the problem began getting worse that she gave Woods Basement Systems a call.  She would get inches of water in her finished basement every time there was a heavy rain, and she wanted to solve the issue once and for all.

After a thorough inspection, Woods installed WaterGuard, IceGuard, and  a TripleSafe sump pump in the resident’s basement.  This prevented the water from entering the basement by pumping it out and away from the home.  The TripleSafe was able to keep up with the large amounts of water because of its three-pump system.  There was not a problem with the WaterGuard clogging because it was installed on top of the footing rather than beside it.

The resident was very satisfied with the waterproofing and now enjoys a dry basement all the time.  She rated Woods a 10 out of 10 and said she is very likely to recommend their excellent work.
