Woods Basement Systems installed CleanSpace to provide an effective vapor barrier, a radiant barrier to help keep the crawl space cool, and a sump pump to prevent water from spilling into the crawl space.
Is there ever a time when it's acceptable for your basement to get wet? If your answer is, "No," then take a few notes from these Fairview Heights homeowners.
This newly-purchased home in Fairview Heights was experiencing an ungodly amount of water seepage through the block foundation, and the basement was always damp. Drywall and wooden cabinetry had been ruined with mold, and the homeowners wanted to keep their basement dry all the time.
Woods Basement Systems installed the WaterGuard perimeter drainage system to drain water from the basement walls, from under the floor, and at the wall/floor joint. The crew also installed BrightWall, an inorganic wall covering to drain wall seepage into the drainage system. Finally, the TripleSafe sump pump system with battery backup ensures that pump failure, large rains, and power outages are no match for this dry basement.

The major flaw of concrete is that the ground that it was poured on top of will inevitably shift and sink over time. In the states of Illinois and Missouri sinking concrete is all too common which is why our company has gone to great lengths to develop fast and effective concrete lifting and leveling solutions. PolyLevel is a revolutionary product that is minimally invasive and not only lifts and levels concrete but also stabilizes it. The concrete lifting and leveling process begins with a few small holes drilled in the slab, then the PolyLevel polymer is poured into the holes. After only about 15 minutes the polymer is dry and the concrete is ready to be walked and even driven on. This concrete lifting and leveling technique is faster, less disruptive and arguably more effective than mud jacking which is the procedure PolyLevel replaces. To removed tripping hazards, stabilize concrete, and lift it back to a level height nothing is faster or more effective than PolyLevel. This made him unable to store anything in the space, without it getting wet or damaged. Realizing he needed his basement waterproofed, he decided to call Woods Basement Systems. This home in Fairview Heights, IL. upgraded their waterproofing system with a TripleSafe™ sump pump system. Unlike most sump pump systems, the TripleSafe™ sump pump features three different pumps to keep basements dry in even the most challenging conditions.
The first pump in the TripleSafe™ system will capably handle normal amounts of water while the second pump will turn on to help the first if water levels rise too high. The third pump runs off battery power and will turn on to keep the basement dry when the power goes out and the first two pumps can't run.
The TripleSafe™ also features a unique floor drain that will allow any water that might leak from inside the basement - like in a plumbing leak - to enter the sump pit without allowing any water or air out of the system. This is important as it will prevent the water inside the pit from evaporating into the home and making the basement air damp and wet. The TripleSafe™ also contains several other features designed to make it the best sump pump system for its price. These other features include an automatic alarm, an air-tight lid, a specially perforated sump pit liner and two seperate discharge lines to name a few.
With all the waterproofing features it offers, the TripleSafe™ system is an easy and effective upgrade from the traditional sump pumps of the past.
Lorenzo from Fairview Heights, Illinois had invested in a new CleanSpace encapsulation system through Woods Basement Systems. After his crawl space was waterproofed and protected, he wanted to stabilize his settling foundation. Team Woods sent system design specialist, Jeremy R., to the house to find a solution to resecure the walls. Jeremy recommended utilizing Geo-Lock wall anchors to move the walls back to their original position.
Geo-Lock wall anchors are installed outside of the basement and are anchored inside to a steel plate. The tension created will slowly pull the wall back into its original, stable position. These Geo-Lock wall anchors were installed by Brett J. and his crew of installers. Thanks to a job well done, Lorenzo now has a protected, stabilized crawl space.

Brett, foreman, and his team began by installing a CleanSpace encapsulation system, an inorganic vapor barrier that is installed all throughout the crawl space, sealing the dirt and moisture out and preventing mold growth. After this, a SmartSump sump pump was put in place to remove any water present on either side of the barrier. Lorenzo's crawl space is now free of moisture!

WaterGuard is located in the perimeter of the basement floor and it works to collect water that seeps through the basement walls. It then takes that water and guides it to the sump pump to be fully removed from the home. IceGuard is installed on the outside of the home and it allows water to expel from then in the event that the pipes freeze or clog, preventing water from backing up into the basement.

The crawl space encapsulation ensures further damage of the space will not happen. It works by closing the crawl space from outside allergens, dirt, and air in order to dry the air, leading to cleaner, warmer air in your living spaces above.
Laura can now walk around happily without having a sinking feeling.

Woods installed the Geo-Lock Wall Anchors along the cracked walls to counteract the external pressure from unstable soil conditions responsible for the damage. To do this, they drive steel anchor rods through the foundation walls and connected them to earth anchors that were embedded in stable soil conditions in the yard. They attached steel wall plates on the inside of the foundation walls and tightened the whole system. Geo-Lock Wall Anchors permanently stabilize walls and prevent future damage.

CleanSpace was installed on the basement walls to provide protection to the home. CleanSpace sealed off the basement to keep water out but also guided the water that got in to the WaterGuard.
A TripleSafe sump pump was installed to evacuate unwanted water. The sump pump will pump the water out through a discharge line that leads the water to the yard. This line can become clogged or frozen at times, in order to prevent the water from receding back into the basement, Woods installed IceGuard. IceGuard is installed on the discharge line next to the house and allows water to escape through it when it is necessary.
In Fairview Heights, IL, Ronald H. was having problems with water getting into his crawlspace. This water was threatening the home with mold and rotting wood. Woods Basement Systems was able to provide products to help solve Ronald's problems.

The TripleSafe pump will ensure all water is pumped out of the basement, since it consists of two pumps as well as a battery back-up pump. The IceGuard allows for water to flow from the sump pump to the outside in the case of freezing or clogged discharge lines. The Waterguard System is a french drain system that controls the flow of the water.
Cynthia can now enjoy a basement free of water and mold damage!
Clay and Samantha recently purchased an older home in Fairview Heights, IL, and they did not like the way the concrete slabs of the driveway looked. The cracks and unleveled slabs concerned them, and they were worried their child would trip and fall when playing outside. Needing something fast and efficient, Clay and Samantha contacted Woods Basement Systems, Inc. for their opinion. Austin believed Clay and Samantha needed injections of PolyLEVEL to raise their subsiding slabs and level them together.
