This Fairview Heights, Illinois crawl space used to get flooded every time there was a heavy rain. Since Woods installed the CleanSpace vapor barrier and sump pump system, the crawl space is dry and the air is cleaner.
This Fairview Heights, IL crawl space had little in the way of finishing and lacked a sump pump. Woods Basement Systems installed CleanSpace to provide an effective vapor barrier, a radiant barrier to help keep the crawl space cool, and a sump pump to prevent water from spilling into the crawl space.
Is there ever a time when it's acceptable for your basement to get wet? If your answer is, "No," then take a few notes from these Fairview Heights homeowners.
This newly-purchased home in Fairview Heights was experiencing an ungodly amount of water seepage through the block foundation, and the basement was always damp. Drywall and wooden cabinetry had been ruined with mold, and the homeowners wanted to keep their basement dry all the time.
Woods Basement Systems installed the WaterGuard perimeter drainage system to drain water from the basement walls, from under the floor, and at the wall/floor joint. The crew also installed BrightWall, an inorganic wall covering to drain wall seepage into the drainage system. Finally, the TripleSafe sump pump system with battery backup ensures that pump failure, large rains, and power outages are no match for this dry basement.

The major flaw of concrete is that the ground that it was poured on top of will inevitably shift and sink over time. In the states of Illinois and Missouri sinking concrete is all too common which is why our company has gone to great lengths to develop fast and effective concrete lifting and leveling solutions. PolyLevel is a revolutionary product that is minimally invasive and not only lifts and levels concrete but also stabilizes it. The concrete lifting and leveling process begins with a few small holes drilled in the slab, then the PolyLevel polymer is poured into the holes. After only about 15 minutes the polymer is dry and the concrete is ready to be walked and even driven on. This concrete lifting and leveling technique is faster, less disruptive and arguably more effective than mud jacking which is the procedure PolyLevel replaces. To removed tripping hazards, stabilize concrete, and lift it back to a level height nothing is faster or more effective than PolyLevel. Our foreman Jose Lorenzana has over 15 years of experience fixing foundation problems just like the one in Alma’s home. Jose and his team installed PushPiers underneath the footing of the home to lift and stabilize the walls of the foundation, in many cases lifting the home back to its original position. In Fairview Heights, Missouri homeowner David L. was having trouble in his basement. Recently, his basement would flood every time it would rain. This made him unable to store anything in the space, without it getting wet or damaged. Realizing he needed his basement waterproofed, he decided to call Woods Basement Systems. David had called Woods once before to fix his home’s foundation problem, happy with the service and job done he chose them to waterproof his basement.
This home in Fairview Heights, IL. upgraded their waterproofing system with a TripleSafe™ sump pump system. Unlike most sump pump systems, the TripleSafe™ sump pump features three different pumps to keep basements dry in even the most challenging conditions.
The first pump in the TripleSafe™ system will capably handle normal amounts of water while the second pump will turn on to help the first if water levels rise too high. The third pump runs off battery power and will turn on to keep the basement dry when the power goes out and the first two pumps can't run.
The TripleSafe™ also features a unique floor drain that will allow any water that might leak from inside the basement - like in a plumbing leak - to enter the sump pit without allowing any water or air out of the system. This is important as it will prevent the water inside the pit from evaporating into the home and making the basement air damp and wet. The TripleSafe™ also contains several other features designed to make it the best sump pump system for its price. These other features include an automatic alarm, an air-tight lid, a specially perforated sump pit liner and two seperate discharge lines to name a few.
With all the waterproofing features it offers, the TripleSafe™ system is an easy and effective upgrade from the traditional sump pumps of the past.
Lorenzo from Fairview Heights, Illinois had invested in a new CleanSpace encapsulation system through Woods Basement Systems. After his crawl space was waterproofed and protected, he wanted to stabilize his settling foundation. Team Woods sent system design specialist, Jeremy R., to the house to find a solution to resecure the walls. Jeremy recommended utilizing Geo-Lock wall anchors to move the walls back to their original position.
Geo-Lock wall anchors are installed outside of the basement and are anchored inside to a steel plate. The tension created will slowly pull the wall back into its original, stable position. These Geo-Lock wall anchors were installed by Brett J. and his crew of installers. Thanks to a job well done, Lorenzo now has a protected, stabilized crawl space.
Lorenzo P. of Fairview Heights, Illinois was tired of dealing with water in his dirt-floor crawl space. All of the moisture was leading to mold growth and air quality issues inside of the home itself. Finally ready to address the issue, he called called Woods Basement Systems.
Brett, foreman, and his team began by installing a CleanSpace encapsulation system, an inorganic vapor barrier that is installed all throughout the crawl space, sealing the dirt and moisture out and preventing mold growth. After this, a SmartSump sump pump was put in place to remove any water present on either side of the barrier. Lorenzo's crawl space is now free of moisture!
Lorenzo and Lori of Fairview Heights, Illinois wanted to waterproof and clean out their musty, dirty crawl space. After they reached out to Woods Basement Systems, the team met at their home to go over possible ideas for a solution. The top recommended product was a CleanSpace encapsulation system. System design specialist, Chris A., gave this recommendation to ensure Lorenzo and Lori could get back to enjoying their home with a year around-dependable product that would block out harmful elements.
Head foreman Brett J. and his crew installed the CleanSpace encapsulation on the walls and floor of the entire crawl space. This space was significantly susceptible to leaks, dirt, critter, and many more outer elements. With CleanSpace, this encapsulation system is made out of inorganic material that would allow the system to produce mold or allow these outer elements inside. This Fairview Heights crawl space is now in good hands thanks to CleanSpace!
Fairview Heights, Illinois resident Jeff was concerned with one of his basement walls. It was cracking and bowing slightly, and he was worried that it may end up falling in. Knowing the problem wouldn't fix itself, Jeff called Woods Basement Systems.
Foreman Greg and his team arrived soon after and began their work supporting the wall. In order to keep the wall level and prevent it from bowing further, several PowerBrace beams were installed against the surface of the wall. These adjustable, galvanized steel supports are used to gradually re-level walls and then left in place for the life of the structure.

Thanks to a job well done, Jeff and his family now can get back to enjoying their basement again!
Joy R. in Fairview Heights, IL was looking to protect her basement once and for all from unwanted moisture. She contacted Woods Basement Systems to explore her waterproofing options, and she received a free estimate on a custom-fit basement system courtesy of System Design Specialist Jeremy H.

WaterGuard drains are a French drain system installed beneath the floor slab for powerful, clog-free drainage in both finished and unfinished basements. To eliminate humidity, SaniDry removes up to 100 pints of water per day from the air. To seal a leaky window while brightening the basement, the SunHouse window well keeps moisture and debris away from the home while reflecting natural light for a cleaner, brighter basement experience.
Joy can now rest easy and enjoy her ideal basement thanks to WaterGuard, SaniDry, and SunHouse!
Sherri P. of Fairview Heights, Illinois needed to have some preventative waterproofing work done, so she called Woods Basement Systems. Systems design specialist, Adam R. recommended installing a TripleSafe sump pump, WaterGuard, and IceGuard.
Foreman, Melvin F. installed the products. The TripleSafe sump pump uses its three-in-one design to keep your home safe with a primary pump, a secondary pump, and a backup battery-powered pump. WaterGuard is located in the perimeter of the basement floor and it works to collect water that seeps through the basement walls. It then takes that water and guides it to the sump pump to be fully removed from the home. IceGuard is installed on the outside of the home and it allows water to expel from then in the event that the pipes freeze or clog, preventing water from backing up into the basement.
Now Sherri P. has a watertight basement.

Foreman, Miguel O., installed the products. The twin pack pump is a dual pump with two pumps on different levels, so if one goes out the other can kick in to remove water from the home. WaterGuard is a vapor barrier made of inorganic materials, so it does not support mold growth. It works to guide water to the sump pump and is installed in the perimeter of the basement floor.
Lynanne K. can now rest easy, knowing her basement is dry.
Fairview Heights, IL homeowner Laura noticed sagging floors in the rooms above her crawlspace. She worked with Woods Basement Systems before so she gave System Design Specialist Lucas B. a call.
Foreman Juan H. was able to make their plan of 3’ SmartJacks with a crawl space encapsulation become a reality.
The SmartJacks are made from high-strength steel and will level and stabilize the existing beams and floor joists. In wet crawl spaces, these wood beams fill with water and become weak or rot. They come in different heights to suit your need.
The crawl space encapsulation ensures further damage of the space will not happen. It works by closing the crawl space from outside allergens, dirt, and air in order to dry the air, leading to cleaner, warmer air in your living spaces above.
Laura can now walk around happily without having a sinking feeling.
Al C. of Fairview Heights, IL made a call to Woods Basement Systems about fixing the cracked and sinking concrete outside of his home.

The Waterguard drainage system was placed above the footing of the basement. After installation, it was covered with concrete. The Waterguard collects and drains any water coming up from the ground before it reaches the surface of the basement. The TripleSafe sump pump is equipped with a primary, secondary, and battery powered pump. It removes water from the home no matter what may happen.

Jeffrey A. no longer has to worry about water in the air or seeping up from the ground. He now has a dry and waterproof home.
Susan and Doug T. were having problems with the foundation of their house settling in Fairview Heights, IL. This can happen naturally over time due to moisture and weather changes. They decided to call Woods Basement Systems for a free estimate about fixing the issue.

Helical piers are steel piering systems that assist with closing cracks and problems that the settled soil has caused. In addition, it attempts to lift the home back in its original position.
Susan and Doug are very pleased that their home is no longer settling unevenly.
Donald K. of Fairview Heights, IL had damaged foundation walls. Long cracks spanned the walls that made him worried that the problem would only get worse and the walls might fail so he called Woods Basement Systems. After thoroughly inspecting the foundation, Design Specialist Jake K. determined the best solution would be Geo-Lock Wall Anchors.
Woods installed the Geo-Lock Wall Anchors along the cracked walls to counteract the external pressure from unstable soil conditions responsible for the damage. To do this, they drive steel anchor rods through the foundation walls and connected them to earth anchors that were embedded in stable soil conditions in the yard. They attached steel wall plates on the inside of the foundation walls and tightened the whole system. Geo-Lock Wall Anchors permanently stabilize walls and prevent future damage.
Donald is relieved that he no longer has to worry about the safety of his foundation walls because they are secure and stable.
Fairview Heights, Illinois homeowner James R. was troubled by his musty, moldy crawlspace. The mold compromised the support of his foundation. System design specialist Jake K. designed a solution to restore the crawlspace.

Woods installed WaterGuard to help drain unwanted water out of the basement. WaterGuard is installed in the cement of the flooring against the walls. This allows water to enter the piping and be drained to prevent damages to the home and personal belongings.
CleanSpace was installed on the basement walls to provide protection to the home. CleanSpace sealed off the basement to keep water out but also guided the water that got in to the WaterGuard.
A TripleSafe sump pump was installed to evacuate unwanted water. The sump pump will pump the water out through a discharge line that leads the water to the yard. This line can become clogged or frozen at times, in order to prevent the water from receding back into the basement, Woods installed IceGuard. IceGuard is installed on the discharge line next to the house and allows water to escape through it when it is necessary.
In Fairview Heights, IL, Ronald H. was having problems with water getting into his crawlspace. This water was threatening the home with mold and rotting wood. Woods Basement Systems was able to provide products to help solve Ronald's problems.
Woods came in and installed a drainage matting under CleanSpace. This drainage mat would help drain away any water that may get into the crawlspace. The CleanSpace was used to seal off the space to prevent moisture from getting into the space, helping to keep it dry. Vent covers were also installed for additional sealing. Vent covers are fit to the vents of the home to create an air tight seal that prevents moisture from seep through.
Woods also installed a SaniDry. The SaniDry system filters moisture out of the air and makes the crawlspace less humid. Controlling the humidity in the crawlspace is important to preventing mold. The less moisture, the harder it is for the mold to grow.
A sump pump was installed to evacuate unwanted water. The sump pump will pump the water out through a discharge line that leads the water to the yard. This line can become clogged or frozen at times, in order to prevent the water from receding back into the crawlspace, Woods installed IceGuard. Water leaks resulting in mold growth? Yikes! This is exactly what Cynthia A. from Fairview Heights, IL was experiencing before she called in Woods Basement Systems to the rescue. Water had been leaking from the walls, causing mold growth, and through the basement flooring. Thomas W., a System Design Specialist at Woods, was called in to inspect the homeowner's basement. After his inspections, he gave Cynthia a free estimate of what could be implemented to control the water leaks and mold from spreading.
Cynthia decided to have the Waterguard System, including the Triplesafe sump pump and IceGuard, installed to overcome her basement issues. In this case, about a quarter of the drywall had to be removed due to water and mold damage. The TripleSafe pump will ensure all water is pumped out of the basement, since it consists of two pumps as well as a battery back-up pump. The IceGuard allows for water to flow from the sump pump to the outside in the case of freezing or clogged discharge lines. The Waterguard System is a french drain system that controls the flow of the water.
Cynthia can now enjoy a basement free of water and mold damage!
Clay and Samantha recently purchased an older home in Fairview Heights, IL, and they did not like the way the concrete slabs of the driveway looked. The cracks and unleveled slabs concerned them, and they were worried their child would trip and fall when playing outside. They also didn't like the way the water flowed against their home because of these unleveled and cracked slabs.
Needing something fast and efficient, Clay and Samantha contacted Woods Basement Systems, Inc. for their opinion. Woods sent one of their Service Tech Specialists, Austin, to survey the damage and determine a solution. Austin believed Clay and Samantha needed injections of PolyLEVEL to raise their subsiding slabs and level them together.
Once a date was scheduled, a few weeks later, Woods Basement Systems, Inc. sent their PolyLEVEL crew, Dave and Reginald, to work on Clay and Samantha's driveway. After a few hours of drilling through the concrete and injecting the PolyLEVEL, Clay and Samantha were very satisfied with the results and feel more relieved that their driveway is safer for their child.
