When you own a business, it’s very important that you keep your building structurally sound. That’s why Archford Capital Strategies called Woods Basement Systems when they discovered that they had bowing walls in their facility. System Design Specialist Chris T was able to come up with a solution to the problem.
Foreman Jeremy R installed a Geo-Lock Wall Anchor, shown above, in the facility. The Geo-Lock Wall Anchor has two ends, one will attach to a stable level of soil away from the building, and the other will attach to the wall itself. The device can be tightened so over time it will be able to straighten the walls.
This Belleville, Illinois home's walls were beginning to bow. Installing wall anchors is a way to not only stop the bowing of a wall but also to return the walls to their original shape.
A basement in Belleville, Illinois needed support posts installed to help stabilize the floors above. Woods installed the patented SmartJack System to provide more support. These are custom-fit galvanized beams set in a solid base of engineered fill. Not only do they stabilize effectively, but the SmartJack System can continue to be lifted and adjusted over time. Thanks to this installation, the homeowners can have peace of mind that their home will remain stable for years to come.
A foundation was showing signs of failure in Belleville, IL as cracks were forming. To solve this issue, GeoLock Wall Anchors were installed. These are galvanized steel earth anchors embedded into the soil out and away from the foundation wall. Once installed, these will hold the walls in their current position and can be tightened to allow for improvement and straightening of the wall over time. These can be installed around obstacles on the wall such as pipes, sinks, or furniture. This is the best solution to straighten the wall over time, as it can fix severe problems and stabilize the foundation for good!
A living room floor was sinking in Belleville, IL due to the foundation settling, so the Push Pier System was installed outside of the house. These will permanently stabilize the foundation, raise it back up to its original position, and keep it in place. The living room floor will be lifted back up and will stay there for years to come!
