A foundation was becoming unstable in a basement in Edwardsville, IL, as it was bowing inward and cracking horizontally. the cracks were also leaking water, causing additional problems. To solve these issues, the PowerBrace System was first installed. This will permanently stabilize the foundation and eliminate any further inward movement. This will also reverse the effects of wall failure, straightening the walls to their original position and closing the cracks to prevent water leakage.
Additionally, the CleanSpace Basement Wall System was installed. This will prevent water vapor from permeating the basement walls. The white color will also brighten the basement, reflecting the light. Any wall leaks will also be drained down to the perimeter drainage system. Thanks to these systems, this basement will remain stable, clean, and dry for years to come!
The floors of Jim H.’s Edwardsville, IL sunroom were sagging. He was worried that the floors might eventually collapse so he called Woods Basement Systems. Woods recommended installing SmartJacks.
Woods installed the SmartJacks along the sagging floor beams. Smart Jacks are adjustable steel columns that are held in place by concrete footings and support the floor beams above to permanently stabilize them in place. They can also lift floors to a more level position.

Dustee gave Woods Basement Systems a call to see what his best solution would be. He spoke with system design specialist, Simba T., who customized a solution for his damaged walls. The final solution for Dustee was to use PowerBraces on the wall to bring back support and stability to a failing wall. Thankfully, now Dustee can have peace of mind knowing that with these strong, steel beams his basement will remain stable for years to come.
This Edwardsville, Illinois home's basement walls were cracked quite badly and were bowing slightly. The homeowner was worried that, if left unchecked, this damage would cause water leak issues and possibly even lead to a total wall collapse. In order to support these walls, a Woods Basement Systems team installed several GeoLock wall anchors. These work by connecting a heavy anchor buried deep in the firm soil far from the foundation to steel plates on the interior surface of the walls, effectively pulling the walls outward over time.
