Ralph M. of Warrenton, Missouri noticed that a couple of the walls in his home were cracking and bowing. He did not want the issue to get worse or cause safety concerns, so he called Woods Basement Systems for assistance.
Design specialist Matthew S. assessed the situation and decided that wall anchors would fix the homeowner's problem. Foreman Jeremy R. then headed to the home to get the job started. Wall anchors, pictured above, extend from the inside basement walls to the hard packed soil outside. They are made of steel help stabilize and prevent further movement of the basement walls.
Ralph M. now has stable and safe basement walls. He no longer has to worry about his home's walls cracking or bowing.
Support posts were leaning in a basement in Warrenton, MO, causing the floor beams to shift. To solve this issue, the SmartJack System was installed. This will stabilize the beams and floor joists in the basement and lift the floor above it back toward its original elevation. Floor bounce caused by weakened joists or excessive spans will also be reduced. This basement will remain stable and restore peace of mind for years to come!
Rob D was concerned about his basement foundation. Cracks were starting to show, and some parts of it were leaking water. To solve this issue, Woods first installed the WaterGuard System. This perimeter drainage system will catch the water that comes down the walls and drain it toward the sump system. Next, a CleanSpace Wall System was applied on the walls to stop water vapor from permeating them, and to drain the wall leaks down to WaterGuard. Lastly, the PowerBrace System was installed to permanently support the foundation walls. This will straighten the walls back to their original position, and close up the cracks. Rob can now have peace of mind knowing his basement will stay dry and stable!
A basement wall was failing in Sullivan, MO, as a large horizontal crack was forming as the wall bowed out. To solve this issue, the PowerBrace System was installed. This system is designed to stabilize a home’s foundation permanently. It will support the basement walls and straighten them over time. It will distribute the load evenly and eliminate the worry of damage caused by commonly seen wood floor joists. This system can be tightened over time and doesn't require any invasive drilling or digging. PowerBrace’s brackets are engineered to provide strong support to the joints and protect the floor system's durability. This foundation will now remain stable all the time!
Fabien D. of Marthasville, MO had long vertical cracks that spanned his foundation walls. He’d tried patching the cracks before but new ones formed and were allowing water to get in and damage his drywall so he called Woods Basements Systems. Woods recommended installing Geo-Lock Wall Anchors alongside a waterproofing system.
Woods installed Geo-Lock Wall Anchors along the cracked walls. Geo-Lock Wall Anchors counteract the external soil pressure that damages walls. They permanently stabilize walls in place by connecting earth anchors embedded in the yard to wall plates on the inside of the walls using galvanized steel anchor rods. They can also straight walls over time by tightening them during dry periods.
