Support blocks in a crawlspace were failing in Newton, IL, causing concern. To solve this issue, the SmartJack System was installed. These are steel support systems that can permanently stabilize and level the floor joists and girders in a crawlspace. These add strength and stability to the existing columns and piers. They are unaffected by moisture, as they will not rust, weaken, or be affected by mold. These will lift the floors above back toward their original position, reduce floor “bounce” caused by excessive joist spans, and solve the problem once and for all!
Homeowners in Tolono, IL were experiencing foundation settlement on their home which was appearing through stair stepped cracks on the exterior of their home. Our team at Woods Basement Systems installed the Helical Piers. These piers are meant to reinforce the foundation of the structure by connecting to the footing of the home. By drilling deep into the soil, it allows the piers to be secure. After the installation, it can often result in closed cracks and improved operation of the doors and windows. The homeowners were happy with their reinforced foundation and peace of mind!
This home in Shawneetown, Illinois was dealing with some serious foundation problems. The homeowner, Mike, was worried about the unstable support system holding up the basement walls. After a few estimates, he knew Woods Basement Systems was the company he wanted to have do the job. Our foreman Jesse C. and his team came out to the home to install PushPiers. PushPiers were installed from the interior and exterior of the home, next to the footing to lift and support the foundation. The installation of PushPiers provided a permanent solution for Mike’s home.

Sofia and Henry M were concerned when they noticed that their basement walls were bowing. So, they decided to call Woods Basement Systems. System Design Specialist Gregory B was able to come up with a solution to the problem.
Foreman Bradly P installed a Geo-Lock Wall Anchor, shown above, in Sofia and Henry’s basement. The Wall Anchor has two ends, one will attach to a stable level of soil away from the house. The other end will attach to the basement wall. The Device can be tightened and will be able to straighten the walls over time.
