A basement wall was failing in Urgana, as it was shifting and causing cracks to form. To solve this issue, GeoLock Wall Anchors were installed. These are galvanized steel earth anchors embedded into the soil out and away from the foundation wall. Once installed, these will hold the walls in their current position and can be tightened to allow for improvement and straightening of the wall over time. These can be installed around obstacles on the wall such as pipes, sinks, or furniture. This is the best solution to straighten the wall over time, as it can fix severe problems and stabilize the foundation for good!

A crawlspace needed some additional support in Urbana, IL, so the SmartJack System was installed. This will stabilize the beams and floor joists in the crawlspace and lift the floor above it back toward its original elevation. Foreman Jeremy R Installed a Geo-Lock Wall Anchor System, shown above, in JC’s basement. The device has two ends, one will attach to a stable level of soil away from the house. The other will attach to the basement walls, shown above. The device can be tightened and over time will straighten out the walls.
