In Lancaster, Illinois homeowner Sonia K. was worried about her cracked and sinking porch. She decided to make a call to Woods Basement Systems after a recommendation from a friend. Team Woods installed PushPiers beneath the foundation to lift it and combat future settling. Now, Sonia is happy knowing her home and porch are safe and stable.
Allerton, Illinois homeowner Shawn M. was troubled when he discovered cracks in his block foundation. Upon inspection, System Design Specialist Greg B. determined the cracks were a result of bowing walls. Greg designed a solution.
Foreman Jeremy R. installed Geo-Lock Wall Anchors. Geo-Lock is made of galvanized steel, so it won't corrode. These anchors are installed into undisturbed soil and provide permanent support. Geo-Lock Wall Anchors work to restore the walls to their original position.
With Geo-Lock, Shawn has peace of mind knowing his foundation is safe.
The support beams were cracking in a crawlspace in Hume, IL, so the SmartJack System was installed. This will stabilize the beams and floor joists in the crawlspace and lift the floor above it back toward its original elevation. Floor bounce caused by weakened joists or excessive spans will also be reduced. This system will never rust or corrode, keeping the crawlspace stable and restoring peace of mind for years to come!
After a specialized consultation with the homeowner, our team designed and implemented a customized foundation repair plan for this Armstrong, IL basement. The solution included the installation of a wall anchor system and steel-plated support beams.
The wall anchor system, visible in the center-left of the after photo, stabilizes the foundation wall by securing a steel rod to the interior basement wall and extending it through the surrounding soil to a durable exterior anchor. This system permanently holds the wall in a stable position and helps prevent further movement. The steel-plated beam system, shown on the right side of the after photo, addresses foundation failure by reinforcing the connection between the foundation wall and the home’s floor system. These beams provide long-term structural joint support and restore stability to the foundation.
A foundation was bowing inward in Armstrong, IL, causing large horizontal cracks to appear. To solve this issue, the PowerBrace System was installed. This will permanently stabilize the foundation and eliminate any further inward movement. This will also reverse the effects of wall failure, straightening the walls to their original position and closing the cracks to prevent water leakage. This foundation will now remain stable and secure for years to come!
