A foundation was cracking in a Fenton, IL basement, and water was leaking out of the cracks. To solve these issues, the BrightWall Paneling System was first installed. This bright, clean, and durable wall system will prevent water vapor from permeating the basement walls and will drain any wall leaks to the WaterGuard System. This perimeter drainage system will catch these wall leaks and carry them toward the sump pump to be pumped out of the house. Lastly, the PowerBrace System was installed. This will permanently stabilize the foundation and prevent any further inward movement. This will reverse the effects of wall failure, straightening the walls to their original position and closing the cracks to prevent water leakage. Thanks to these systems, this foundation will remain stable, and the basement will stay dry for years to come!

Mud that gets in with the water in a leaky basement may be due to another potentially serious problem, a settling footing.  Interior drywall cracks or doors and windows not properly working may not have occured yet but will unless the root problem is addressed.  Our Foundation SupportWorks® push piers can get to the root of the problem.  On the interior of the basement we jackhammer through the floor and place the pier brackets beneath the foundation wall footing lifting it back into place. 

Helical anchors have been used by Woods Basement Systems to stabilize foundation and retaining walls like this home in Fenton, Missouri for years because of their effectiveness.  Helical anchors are widely accepted and used by engineers, architects, and contractors to stabilize bowing basement walls. In fact, in 1992, wall anchor systems were identified by a Chief Appraiser for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development as the most effective means of stabilizing bowing foundation walls.

This basement in Fenton, Missouri used to have bowing walls and water seepage. Since Woods installed wall anchors, the walls no longer bow, and the leaks have stopped.

Foreman Jeremy R used a Geo-Lock Wall Anchor system, shown above, to straighten the walls Phil and Carrie’s home. The Wall Anchor will attach to stable soil away from your home, it will then attach to your wall and keep it from moving any further than it already has.
