Walls can shift and bow over time. That’s why Steve T called Woods Basement Systems when he noticed his basement walls were bowing. System Design Specialist Jeremy R was able to come up with a solution to the problem.
Foreman Jeremy R installed a GeoLock Wall Anchor, shown above, in Steve’s basement. The first part of the system attaches to the wall and the second attaches to stable soil away from the house. This will pull the walls back to where they are supposed to be.
A porch to a raised home in Grafton, IL was sagging and the current support posts were failing, so Woods installed the SmartJack System. This will stabilize the beams under the porch, as well as the floor joists. these will lift the porch floors back to their original elevation and reduce floor bounce caused by weakened floor joists or excessive spans. This porch will remain stable for years to come!
This elevated Grafton, Illinois porch was badly sagging. The porch was about 12 feet off of the ground and, over the years, the posts had begun to fail under the strain of regular use. A Woods Basement Systems team reinforced the porch by installing several SmartJacks underneath it. These adjustable supports are capable of holding 60,000 pounds each, and totally prevent any sagging or movement.
This homeowner's driveway had uneven, sinking, and cracked concrete slabs. To fix this, the PolyLevel system was injected into the concrete through pea-sized holes, lifting, leveling, and stabilizing it. This will prevent it from cracks and sinking in the future.
Homeowners in Festus, MO were experiencing foundation settlement in their home which was appearing through stair stepped cracks. Our team at Woods Basement Systems installed the Helical Piers. These piers are meant to reinforce the foundation of the structure by connecting to the footing of the home. By drilling deep into the soil, it allows the piers to be secure. After the installation, it can often result in closed cracks and improved operation of the doors and windows. The homeowners were happy with their reinforced foundation for years to come!
