Bowing and cracking walls can be signs of soil pressure on the outside of the foundation and can lead to major problems if not addressed. Chris R. of St. Louis, MO was patching cracks in his walls but new ones kept forming so he called Woods Basement Systems. Woods recommended installing Geo-Lock Wall Anchors.
Geo-Lock Wall Anchors permanently stabilize walls and halt any further movement due to soil pressure. Earth anchors are embedded in the yard and attached to steel wall plates on the inside of the walls by galvanized steel anchor rods. The rods are tightened to keep the walls firmly in place and can straighten walls in most cases.
Chris R. has the peace of mind that his walls are safe from any future damage and are permanently stabilized.
Steve M. of Sappington, Missouri noticed that a couple of his home's basement walls were cracking and bowing. He did not want the problem to get worse or cause any safety concerns, so he called Woods Basement Systems for assistance.
Design specialist Quinton W. assessed the problem and decided that the best option was to install a few wall anchors. Foreman Jeremy R. then traveled to the home to start the job.
Wall anchors, pictured above, extend from the inside basement walls to the hard packed soil outside of the home. The steel anchors help stabilize and prevent any further movement of the walls.
Steve M. no longer has to worry about his home's basement walls bowing and cracking. He now has safe and stable walls.
A basement in Saint Louis, Missouri, was starting to show indications of a failing foundation. Cracks had started appearing on the walls, rightfully concerning the homeowners. Woods came out and addressed the issue by installing supports called the GeoLock Wall Anchor System. Heavy-duty steel anchors are buried some ways away from the home and connected to the home using steel rods. These rods are then attached to steel wall plates that are placed directly on the wall. As the rods are tightened, they pull the wall back into place. With this installation in place, this home will be stable for many years to come.
