Down spouts and sump pump lines can freeze during the winter. Woods installed the patented Ice Guard sump pump discharge line system in this Maryland Heights, Missouri home. The Ice Guard System allows water to escape from a sump pump discharge line if the pipe freezes or becomes blocked for any reason. Even if the pipe outlet is buried under a foot of ice and snow, the water can escape!

Cracks in foundation walls can be a sign that pressure from soil on the outside of the walls is causing them to weaken and bow. Don H. of St. Charles saw cracks forming on his walls and knew he needed to act fast so it wouldn’t become a major problem down the line. He called Woods Basement Systems for a free assessment. Woods recommended installing Geo-Lock Wall Anchors.

Geo-Lock Wall Anchors were installed along the cracking walls. Wall plates on the inside of the walls were connected to earth anchors embedded in the yard by galvanized steel anchor rods. The anchors permanently stabilize the walls by counteracting the soil pressure. They prevent future wall damage and can straighten the walls over time by tightening the anchor rods during dry periods.

Fast and Effective Concrete Lifting and Leveling

The major flaw of concrete is that the ground that it was poured on top of will inevitably shift and sink over time. In the states of Illinois and Missouri sinking concrete is all too common which is why our company has gone to great lengths to develop fast and effective concrete lifting and leveling solutions. PolyLevel is a revolutionary product that is minimally invasive and not only lifts and levels concrete but also stabilizes it. The concrete lifting and leveling process begins with a few small holes drilled in the slab, then the PolyLevel polymer is poured into the holes. After only about 15 minutes the polymer is dry and the concrete is ready to be walked and even driven on. This concrete lifting and leveling technique is faster, less disruptive and arguably more effective than mud jacking which is the procedure PolyLevel replaces. To removed tripping hazards, stabilize concrete, and lift it back to a level height nothing is faster or more effective than PolyLevel. To schedule a FREE concrete lifting and leveling estimate contact us today!

We can Fix:
  • Sunken sidewalks
  • Sagging steps
  • Uneven patios

Job Stories From Maryland Heights, MO
Leveling and Sealing Concrete Slabs

Concrete slabs can settle into the ground and become sloped and uneven. This usually happens when the soil beneath the concrete compresses over time or gets washed away by water flowing through the space. This settling can cause cracking as some of the slab is supported and some isn't. It can also damage the seal that is placed between the slabs to protect the concrete from grinding against other slabs due to natural expansion and contraction.

Once the seal is damaged, more water can enter the space and wash more soil away. Simply adding more concrete or soil beneath the slab won't solve the problem either as the extra weight will increase the compression of the soil below. That's why Woods Basement Systems uses PolyLevel™. PolyLevel™ is a foam-based support system that gets injected beneath the concrete to lift it back to level. Once PolyLevel™ is injected it solidifies into a super strong support that is so lightweight that it won't add to the compression of the soil below the slab.

Once the slab is level, the joints are resealed with NexusPro™. NexusPro™ is a special joint sealant that won't crack from the pressures of the concrete or dry out because of the UV rays in sunlight. Adding the new sealant will protect the concrete slabs from damaging themselves by grinding against the other slabs as they naturally expand and contract. The seal will also prevent water from leaking in beneath the slab and washing away the soil.

With PolyLevel™ and NexusPro™ installed, the concrete slabs are permanently supported and protected, making the area level and safe.

Waterproofing in Maryland Heights, Missouri

Gary S. of Maryland Heights, Missouri needed a new waterproofing system, so he called Woods Basement Systems for help. Systems design specialist, Pete L. recommended installing a TripleSafe sump pump, WaterGuard, and IceGuard.

Foreman, Greg H. installed the products. The TripleSafe sump pump helps your home with three different pumps included: a primary pump, a secondary pump, and a battery-powered backup pump. WaterGuard is installed in the perimeter of the basement floor and it works to collect water that seeps through basement walls and guides it to the sump pump to be removed from the home. IceGuard is placed on the outside of the home and it allows for water to expel from the guards in case the pipes freeze or clog.

Now Gary S. has a dry basement.

Basement Waterproofing in Maryland Heights, MO

Maryland Heights, Missouri homeowner Emily needed waterproofing in her basement. She gave Woods Basement Systems a call and System Design Specialist Adam developed a plan for her.

Foreman Don and his crew installed WaterGuard, IceGuard, WellDuct, and a TwinPack Sump Pump. The WaterGuard goes around the perimeter of the basement to collect water before it gets to the floor. The WellDuct will collect any water that gets in through the windows. the TwinPack and IceGuard go together. The TwinPack has two pumps to keep up with any amount of water and the IceGuard will make sure it can always get out, even when the lane is clogged or frozen.

Emily can now enjoy her basement and trust it will remain dry.

Settling Driveway with Cracks Raised with PolyLevel

Maryland Heights, Missouri homeowner Tom was experiencing cracks in his asphalt and concrete driveway. He gave Woods Basement Systems a call and System Design Specialist Mike developed a plan to get his driveway level.

Foreman Mason and his crew injected the PolyLevel below the driveway. PolyLevel is an expanding foam that is eco-friendly and will not wash away. The foam is injected through small holes and will raise the concrete slab where needed. Since it is light weight it will not lead to continued settling.

Tom can now enjoy his safer and nicer looking driveway.

Wet Basement Waterproofed in Maryland Heights, MO

Maryland Heights, MO homeowner Jeremy S. had water leaking into his basement where the floor meets the wall. He contacted Woods Basement Systems for an estimate on a waterproofing solution.

Design specialist John S. evaluated the home and determined the WaterGuard waterproofing system along with the TripleSafe sump pump system would be the best solution.

Foreman Jose L. and his crew installed the WaterGuard system around the interior perimeter of the basement. The crew also installed a TripleSafe sump pump equipped with a primary, secondary, and battery backup pump. The exterior discharge line was installed on the outside of the home to drain any water from the systems and an IceGuard was attached to the outside of the home to provide an outlet for water should the discharge line become clogged or frozen.

Waterproofing in Maryland Heights, MO Crawl Space

Elizabeth W. of Maryland Heights, Missouri was shocked when she discovered her home's crawl space was holding water. She knew standing water could cause problems such as mold growth and rotting, so she called Woods Basement Systems for help.

Design specialist Peter N. assessed the situation and decided that the best option was to install a CleanSpace encapsulation system. Foreman Joshua B. then traveled to the home to start the job. The CleanSpace is a durable liner placed over the floor and up the wall of the crawl space. It acts as a vapor barrier and drains any leaks behind it.

Elizabeth W. is very happy that she no longer has to worry about her home's crawl space collecting water. She now has a dry and waterproof crawl space.

PolyLevel Evens Out Patio in Maryland Heights, MO

Kevin M was concerned when he noticed that his patio was uneven. So, he decided to call Woods Basement Systems. System Design Specialist Michael T was able to come up with a solution to the problem.

Foreman Juan H used PolyLevel to even out the concrete in front of Kevin’s home. PolyLevel is injected into the portion of the concrete that is sinking and will raise it up. The injection leaves behind a dime-sized hole, that will be filled in with concrete.

Waterproof Basement in Maryland Heights, MO

Homeowner Matt H. of Maryville, IL discovered a water leakage in the basement of her home. To assure that her basement does not continue to cover in water, she gave Woods Basement Systems a call.

Our system design specialist, Peter N. did an inspection on the home and created a design that would resolve the issue of the water leakage. Foreman, Mason S. installed a WaterGuard to prevent water leakage. The WaterGuard is not only the best waterproofing system, but also the most advanced. What the WaterGuard does is collect the rising water before it can reach the top of the floor and begin to cause a water leakage. The rising water is likely due to the harsh pressure on the basement walls that the water creates. This is called hydrostatic pressure.

The WaterGuard also comes with a life of the structure warranty. This warranty provides coverage for the current and future homeowners. With the installation of the WaterGuard, Matt H. will no longer have to worry about a wet basement.

Crawl Space Waterproofing in Maryland Heights, MO

Jeff M. of Maryland Heights, Missouri discovered that water was collecting in his crawl space. He did not want to have to worry about any rotting or mold growth, so he called Woods Basement Systems.

Design Specialist Cody M. discussed the problems with the homeowner and came up with the best solution. Soon after, foreman James L. traveled to the home to install a SmartSump, a SmartPipe system, and a CleanSpace Encapsulation System. The SmartPipe drainage system accepts water from both the soil and surface and removes it from the crawl space. The SmartSump is a sump pump that is specifically made for crawl spaces. It collects water from inside the crawl space and then pumps it outside through an exterior discharge line. The CleanSpace Encapsulation System is a heavy duty liner that seals the crawl space from the earth. It also acts as water vapor barrier.

Jeff M. no longer has to worry about standing water and the damage that comes with it. His crawl space is now dry and waterproof.

Concrete Leveling in Maryland Heights, MO

Kevin M. of Maryland Heights, MO contacted Woods Basement Systems for a free estimate on his sinking concrete.

Design specialist Michael T. evaluated the area and determined the best solution to be polylevel.

Foreman Juan H. and crew lifted and leveled the concrete using polylevel to create and even and stable surface.

Block Walls Straightened and Stabilized in Maryland Heights, MO

Gene H. owns a rental property in Maryland Heights, MO that had a block foundation wall that was bowing to an alarming degree. He wanted to make sure the foundation was safe and secure for renters so he gave Woods Basement Systems a call for a free, no obligation estimate. Design Specialist Adam R. inspected the walls and recommended Geo-Lock Channel Wall Anchors.

Geo-Lock Channel Wall Anchors are used when damage to the walls is severe and they need to be straightened immediately to restore structural integrity to the home. Woods excavated the soil that had pressuring and damaging the walls and then drove galvanized steel anchor rods through the walls and connected them to earth anchors that are embedded in more stable soil in the yard. On the inside of the block walls, the anchor rods are attached to steel channel wall plates and tightened until the wall is in a straighter, more structurally sound position. Geo-Lock Channel Anchors ensure that the walls will remain permanently stabilized in their position and prevent future damage to the walls.

Gene H. has peace of mind that his rental property’s foundation walls are stable and safe for his renters.
